@Lightning
Haha, so that's what's differnet about your signature every time I see it. I thought I was insane or something. XDD;

OK, people, I am FUMING right now.

On the GameFAQ's poll, the current battle is between Mario, Link, Zack Fair, and Mega Man X. I voted Mario, as I have half a brain, but when I got to the poll's results, I looked on in horror.

Link - 39.82% - 39578
Zack Fair - 21.05% -20920
Mario -21.73% - 21601
Mega Man X - 17.4% - 17291
TOTAL VOTES - 99390

Zack, a character who was in ONE OF THE MOST OVERRATED GAMES OF ALL FACKING TIME is within reach of defeating the FACE OF GAMING.

If Zack somehow wins, I will officially lose all hope in video games, seriously.

Go to GameFAQs, everyone, and help correct this mistake by voting Mario.

2 things. Firstly, the forums aren't your personal blog where you can rant. And secondly, you're off-topic.

I filled out one of those too, actually. I wasn't in the right state of mind when I did so, however, as it was about 4 AM at the time. The only one I actually had predicted in this round was Link XD;

But dude, there's no way in hell Zack will win it: Link's at like 40% vote, and Zack's only at around 21%.

...Everyone go vote Link :<

Edit:...It was on topic when I posted this >_>

My favourite is when people notice and then come to me all "I THOUGHT YOU WERE MANUALLY CHANGING YOUR SIG EVERY FIVE MINUTES. DDD8"

What if I prefer Zack? :( Far more endearing to me as a character than Mario.

I stopped paying attention to the character poll ages ago anyway. all my favourites were out in the first rounds.

Lmao, did you really? XDD I must've missed it.

Glancing at my files, there are in fact five of them. :>

Lol, wow... I refreshed like, 20 times, and those were the only three I could find. XD;

As for the character polls, I've never participated in one. I don't really see the point. :/

I would...! But there are no Targets in Canada anyway. :[ Have fun at work nonetheless. By the end of the day, I bet you'll hate customers. :>

Haha, actually I spent the first two hours reading a cashier manual while Amy just floated back and forth to check in on me; then I hopped on register, had a few problems, but after that I was like a scanning machine. And Target doesn't bother me working register because everything is so clean, tidy, and very..red. Red is good. XD

Customers were alright, most of them very nice, but who pays for items under $10 with a $100 bill? Seriously? Like, yowza. Haha. I guess if you just happen to run out of every other bill you have no choice. Anyway, tomorrow I get to work guest services which is way easier and there's chairs (hopefully.) D:

Uh, so what's the topic? :P Lightning, your banner is quite pwnsome, I happen to favor the fist clenching one lol.

Omg, there's so much "Target Talk" lingo.

examples:
GAPTL: Group Assets Protection Team Leader (no idea who this is)
HRD: Human Resources Director (she's wicked nice)
GD: Group Director (Apparently she can be quite the biznatch, but she seemed nice XD)
GL: Group Leader (lots of different people)
GSTL: Guest Services Team Leader (she's alright, but leaving on Saturday)

Cashiers don't get walkie-talkies though, so I don't get to be all 'look at me, I use crazy lingo and abbreviations via a headset'.

Edit: Oh...character polls. Haha. Go Link! XD

I can't believe no one else realized that Lightning's banner picture changes. Now Sho is doing that wiping off his mouth thing because he's so disgusted XD

There's like...three topics going on at once =P

Omigosh Cashier talk! :DDDD
I'm a customer service specialist so that means I'm the CASHIER OF CASHIERS. . . at big lots (w00t).

I was at a target once and my room mate bought an iPood, but on the way out my other friend remembered she needed fishnets so we had to turn around while my roomie still had the ipod so we got followed by this Target-destroy-all-evil guy.
So of course we went all secret agent on him and disappeared down every isle. Im sure we looked mighty suspicious but it gave him a good work out, and I got to practice my secret agent man song!

A boring story, I'm aware, but it relates to the subject. Something I'm never able to do.

I've worked in Service before, but never officially as a cashier. I was the guy who ran outside and took all the carts back into the store. And I did this at both Loeb and Food Basics for about a year! The latter was definitely tougher, as on some busy weekends you'd end up having more people wanting carts than you had actual carts! Furthermore, we had people taking our carts all the way to the Wal-Mart across the road, and more people still leaving them at an apartment building further away still. >>

When it was really busy at Loeb, however, we still always seemed to have enough carts. So I'd help out the cashier(s) at the express lane by bagging groceries for them.

My job as a service clerk also meant that I was the only one who had free reign over the whole store, XD(ie. cashiers stay at the front, and bakers stay in the bakery, yet I went everywhere). So I got to know the place fairly well, and I even managed to spot a few security folks in disguise. It's fairly easy to spot them if you're there all day, as most customers only stick around for an hour at most. This guy was there for my entire shift, with just a little hand-basket the whole time!

I've only had two jobs in my life; one was a phone operator at a Chinese food place which was boring as hell. XD; The other I'm at right now. Office admin/finance stuff at a brewery. I get free beer--which would be really awesome if I liked beer, but I don't ahaha.

This job is pretty cool. Internet access, my own desk, and there are thousands of dollars on my desk as I speak. Although none of it is mine lmao. :(

...are you even old enough to drink beer? :O That Chinese place sounded pretty amusing, or at least the random odd folk that you would occasionally run into.

Sounds like a decent job, most of my jobs have all be physical labor ones, though I'd love to get a desk job, anything seems impossible to find here now.

Holy crap, lyssy! I haven't seen you in ages. :D

I worked at a dry cleaning place the summer before last. It was...interesting to say the least. Some pretty cool people worked there with me, but it was basically where are the sketchy people hung out. =/

Lol...This one time, this lady who didn't speak english wanted me to help her and I was trying to tell her that I didn't speak spanish, but she kept talking. So finally I went out from behind the counter to see what was wrong and recognized the words "No caliente" as she was pointing at the dryer. So I guess the dryer was broken. So I pointed at another one and she finally understood. XD

Drinking age is 19 in Ontario, so yep. :] It's just too bitter for me though. 8( Like coffee. (Have I mentioned this place brews a coffee porter? It's BEER and COFFEE together. It tastes awful to me since I hate both. XDD)

And lol, the other job was pretty weird at times. 8| I still remember this one woman who nearly cried and basically accused me of hating her because we wouldn't deliver before 4 PM. She was like begging on the phone ("Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaase??") and it was so annoying lmao.

The drinking age in Ontario's 19? Remind me to visit that province sometime before I turn 21.

It's even 18 in Quebec; I was there with my school on a ski trip in March of the year I turned 18, but since my birthday is April I couldn't hang out in the bar. D; Not that I would've had anyone to hang out with... I think I was the oldest one on the trip anyway. XD

I'm such a softie I would of found a way to deliver to her anyway. Even if I had to drive it to her myself.

I'm currently a cashier at a lame grocery store, but I have an interview Tuesday with Target, so hopefully I'll be out of there shortly. Target is my favorite chain store, so I hope they hire me. If they don't, I have jobs lined up at Dick's (a sporting goods store found in the northeast) and Toys'R'Us.

And the lowered drinking age in Ontario, the closest Canadian province to me in New York is one the reasons why I love going there so much.

Oooh, you guys get it pretty early then. :O That does sound pretty disgusting, I'd never try it, mostly since I dislike both coffee and beer, I'm sure it would be horrible.

Was it an old lady? XD I've found that a lot of older people get really upset because certain services aren't provided before their bedtime a certain time of day. How did you end up handling the situation?

Haha, those situations can be so amusing to look back on...though not too fun at the time they happen. I once had to deal with some old guy speaking Chinese, who expected the Mexican kid to understand what he was saying, but I just gave him a blank stare until he left. Yay for underperforming!

Target is pretty enjoyable, but I say that after working third shift, which was basically over night unloading the trucks, moving the materials out to different areas of the store and placing it all up. It's great if you like a little solitude since you don't have to deal with too many other people aside from lunch and breaks. The only thing I hated was having to put clothes up since it seemed like no one, not even the store manager, knew what went where.
