Like, playing GBA on it "hacked".

Well, for the latest firmware (6.37?) there is a downgrader to 6.35 that can be hacked for custom firmware. Or else you can Google up signed PSP homebrew, which doesn't tequire any modifications at all.

You can hack nearly all PSPs, but it depends heavily on your motherboard. Some can't be hacked just yet.
Ohh okay. Thanks for explaining it to me :D
I think I might try doing it to mine, but idk. Are they able to catch you do it?

For me, it was handhelds the whole time. I've had a Playstation system of some kind for most of my life, but it never saw anywhere near as much use as my GBC, GBA or DS. People keep telling me I'm missing out on a lot - like the classic Zelda and Mario games, but . . . eh. I'm not too fussed. I've got a Zelda game and several Mario games on DS, so . . .

Handhelds are cool, but that's probs because I only have a Wii atm and that's really lame ._.

The latest firmware (according to the Playstation website) is 6.38. I have 6.35 on my PSP. Maybe I should try the whole hacking again. /gets hacking supplies.

It requires a lot of patience and brain-power if you're planning to hack your PSP. And no, I don't think they're gonna catch you doing it, or at least I haven't heard of anyone get in trouble for it.

I guess I could say I grew up with PlayStation. I used to play Nintendo games when I was little, then when I started middle school, I was really into the PS1 and the PS2. I'm really missing out on the DS games, especially most of the Pokemon games.

The gameboy was something I would play from when I woke up till when I went to sleep. But then the GBA came out, and I lost five years of my life instantly to Pokemans :O

Ah, I see, well I guess I won't hack my PSP then, I don't really use it much anyways.... :o

Even if I do break one of mine, I have about 3 more from presents.
(Blue, Silver, Black and Red ones :D)

I've never touched the Red or black tho :x

I upgraded from the original DS to a DSi, because the top screen stopped working. At that time, my sister also got a DSi. Which means we have 2 and a half DS's in our house. ...Yep. xD;

But Zeffy, my DS lets you choose whether to play GBA games on the top or bottom screen. And if it's only the top screen that's damaged and not the actual workings, Ryukaa should be able to play GBA games like that.

Well, I dunno. I have a DS Lite and it offers that option. I just assumed the other models did too, though they might not.

I KNOW THE DSi DOESN'T OFFER IT THOUGH. *still sore about removal of GBA slot*

The removal of the GBA slot brought more new features though! But if you really want to play GBA games then go get a GBA/SP. I bet they're a bit cheaper nowadays.

Yeah, my original DS can still play GBA games. xD;
I just use my GBASP for that, though. Haha. xDD;;
I hope the 3DS' virtual console has GBA games in the future. That would be awesome.
