I have two midterms for all of my classes so they basically span October and November. But... my classes end by December anyway. :/

It's what we do here in NZ, and we think you're nuts if you don't. Christmas season is for relaxing.

Well if you get to relax for the entire summer, then we're allowed at least two months.

Yeah, we have shorter summer break, but longer term breaks.

I've always wanted to try a school with the breaks dispersed throughout like that...it seems like a good alternative to the amount of dread you get at the end of summer and the full monotony that starts around Winter. :<
But then again, I like to completely shut down and not worry about anything over Summer break. ^^ 'Tis fun.

I tend not to worry about anything during school. XD;

Also, iirc, we have shorter school days. o.o

I have almost a month off for Christmas this year, for some reason. It's weird since last year we only had like a week and a half :(

This year's summer break looks good. We get from the 4th Dec to the 2nd Feb, so that's almost 2 full months. It's as long as the term we've just started! ^_^ Lots of Net-surfing will be had.

Oh noes, Christmas break.
I have to take an exam of some sort before it starts, unlike most schools that do it afterward.
I want to say it's mid-terms, but I forgot D;

Our mid-years tend to be sometime around May. And we have our End-of-Years coming up in about 5 weeks. And then, after that, we do... nothing at school for the rest of the term. XD

My final exams are a month away. Then I have further 'xams a week later at a higher level, in different subjects.

Mid-terms aren't a joke here; they can be quite long with arduous questions sometimes. Though depending on the teacher that you have, he/she may allow you to use notes on the exam.

Speaking of arduous exams, this is kind of off-topic, but do you guys think it's okay to take my ACT and SAT this year? I was thinking next year (junior year) but I'm not sure if I want to take them in the same year. @~@

Ack, I should be studying for one of my midterms, which is on Monday. D: I hate my information systems class. :< Yeah, can't wait for winter break. XD

And DG, I suggest taking the SAT this year and the ACT next year so that you don't need to worry too much cramming for both exams. I did that when I was in high school. XD

December is finals. January is a brand new term. :( I could have anywhere from three weeks off to one week, depending on when my last final is.
