They're calling for a chance of snow here Saturday night. I doubt it's going to happen though, we rarely ever get snow around here. And even if it does happen, it won't amount to anything.

Wow, it's supposed to snow on Saturday here as well. ;D

Although our local weather people aren't very accurate so we just have to hope.

It's supposed to snow here tomorrow...wait, nevermind. They changed the forecast since yesterday. >: It is supposed to next Thursday though! : 3

I get out at 1:33 tomorrow, instead of 2:31 like normal.

The weather here is 34˚F here and it's partly cloudy.
The winter is finally catching up ;_;

And every other pokemon does? Just so you know, if Electivire nor Magnezone nor any other electric pokemon except Jolteon could defeat Gyarados, thats a pretty bad example. :|

Almost any fully evolved water type with mediocre defense can take Flareon out pretty quickly :/
And you're insulting it's speed when just about all of the Eeveelutions except Jolteon, Espeon and maybe Leafeon all have high speed? So a base speed of 65 suddenly means the end of the world? So going by your logic, pokemon like Rhyperior, Skarmory and Swampert are inferior because they have less than 65 speed but have proven to be one of the top used Pokemon yet(as from what I remember)?

No, because they have redeeming qualities, many of which are defensive. Skarmory has great defenses and can set up spikes pretty good, and Rhyperior is just a physical tank. Flareon, on the other hand, has both low speed and an unfitting movepool, which is what seperates it from the other good fire pokemon. Speed is still a very important factor in battling.
Also, Scizor has 65 base speed, but he is in about 33% of all teams. It's because he has a good movepool to go along with his stats, albeit a bit predictable with that laughable sp. attack.

Well, I love winter, and how can anyone not like winter? I love anyone who loves winter. I need it to be 20 degrees. Everybody looks at me weirdly when I say that I like it at 10-20 degrees.
I love you.
Fyi, Flareon has a base 110 sp. defense. A 95 base special attack isn't anything to laugh at, so taking that into consideration, a Flareon with, say, a mild nature could be a freaking beast. :| Defense would be crappy, but every pokemon has a weakness that's pretty much inevitable.

Clearly you haven't done your homework.

And isn't Scizor one of the top used OU pokemon? :|

And yet again you state bad examples by throwing water types out there. I'm pretty sure a Mild Flareon with HP Grass could take out a Swampert, granted that it uses Surf instead of Earthquake, which Flareon would most likely survive anyway because of it's monstrosity of a special defense.

Note that it is the only Fire type pokemon with the Highest special defense. You rarely see defensive fire types(except heatran) in this point and time.
Just because you like it that doesn't make it good, it doesn't make you right, and it doesn't make him or anyone else wrong. You're wrong. He is right. End.

Not backing up statements sure makes you look cool. ^___^ Next time, don't say anything if you don't know anything. Thanks.
I don't have to back anything up because it's common sense. Someone liking something does not make it better than the rest, because those things are called "opinions." And these strange things don't bend the rules.

Now you are going on my ignore list, because we all know the kind of irrationalities that you're posting only lead to arguments.

It was 100 over there? o_O I didn't even know that place even touched 90, since South Florida is usually warmer than the North part, which it would've been blazing here, but it just felt like...your average 80 degree day. XD

It's been, yeah the highest I remember is 110. But you do know that just because it's further south, that doesn't mean it's hotter all the time? xD; And Jacksonville's a citycitycitycity city. We're more concrete and asphalt than anything.

That has a lot to do with it =u=;;

Am I alone on this page in not liking the cold?

Though my standards of what's cold are probably different from everyone else's in here. I think anything 20F or more below what it was the previous day is cold. So, if it were 30F on Monday and then 10F on Tuesday, Tuesday's cold, and if it climbs back up to 30F on Wednesday, Wednesday's warm. Likewise, if it's 80F on a Monday in the summer, and it drops down to 60F on Tuesday, Tuesday's cold.

No, you're not. I hate the cold |D

I shiver in 60 degrees lmao...

Bah. You Floridians are spoiled. I would never complain about a 60 degree day... unless it was because the weatherperson said it was going to be 80 degrees. Or if it was ridiculously windy.

It got up to 40F today, and I was out and about shopping without socks on (because I wasn't expecting to have to go into the store until my brother whined that he can't find anything in there). Windchill made it feel like 10F or so, if you ask me. And my dog, who was along for a car ride, just had to have the window open while I was driving.

"I'm not backing up my statements because I don't need to. Everyone except you recognizes why Flareon's NU."

Okay then. I really wonder who made you the judge of right and wrong though. :(
You quoted that wrong. Fixed it for you. ;)

Flareon's a cool pokemon, to be sure. A base 130 attack stat is nothing to scoff at, but it's strength is it's weakness: All flareon has to back up that attack stat is, lmao, Fire Fang (base 65, anyone?). Until flareon gets something like Flare Blitz or some new physical fire equivalent, it's not going to do much in the metagame. At least, not in OU, as you've made quite a few comparisons to the likes of Swampert and other much better pokemon. Concerning Sp. Atk, it would only be useful in a mixed set, which would require it's Attack stat to take front, and I've already explained why it can't.

Overall, there's nothing Flareon can do that its Eeveelution bretheren can't do better. Concerning the physical realm, at least Lefeon has leaf blade and swords dance to back up its attack and is also quite a bit faster. The only other thing Flareon could try is Wish-Toxic, which Umbreon and Vaporeon are way better at pulling off. And I haven't even mentioned the tough time fire types get to start with, concerning stealth rock, type coverage, and the oh-so-common Earthquake. You won't believe me, but I really love Flareon; I just recognize it's flaws.

Sorry man, Flareon's just not as good as what you claim.

That's unfair to say, it's just what we're used to >w>;;.... Sorry about that, I guess.
