Miley Cyrus is a wannabe Avril Lavigne. And Avril is essentially a Janis Joplin wannabe.

To be fair, there is a constitutional prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment; cutting out a person's tongue would definitely qualify as cruel and unusual. If you want to amend the United States Constitution in order to victimize Miley Cyrus, go right ahead, but you're opening up the door to the same kinds of atrocities that such illustrious individuals as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Saddam Hussein, Slobodan Milošević, Kim Il-sung, Pol Pot, Suharto, Idi Amin, François Duvalier, Augusto Pinochet, and Nicolae Ceauşescu committed. I also dislike Miley Cyrus, but there are better ways of censuring her.

On a tangentially related note, I'd be surprised if anyone else here knew who either Slobodan Milošević, Kim Il-sung, Pol Pot, Suharto, Idi Amin, François Duvalier, Augusto Pinochet, or Nicolae Ceauşescu were.

The problem is that the consumers are listening to her music out of their own free will. You can amend the First Amendment, but then they'll start censoring everyone else.
