Studied, watched anime, played video games, lacked sleep. Then today I went to the mall to pick up my Giratina figure and do some grocery shopping, went out for lunch, and took out the recycling and garbage. Now I'm back to studying as best I can on 3 hours of sleep. XD;

This weekend was pretty boring.
I almost did nothing but sleep lol

Since my parents wouldn't let me get INTO Dragonball ("Too violent", they said >.>), I've never been able to like it. Though I believe the creators made "Blue Dragon"? Which isn't half bad, but still...

I'll stick to InuYasha, FMA, Bleach, and the other American dubs placed on the CW4Kids XD

Hmm, I mostly worked this weekend, XD. 8-5 on Saturday, and 8-2 on Sunday-though the latter felt like 7-1 thanks to the time change this morning. >_<

It was pretty busy. Cantaloupes were on sale for $2.50, and they were nearly flying off the shelves. XD

Aiyh, dubs...I only watch dubs if absolutely necessary, which is unfortunately the case with Inuyasha, YuYu Hakusho, & Pokemon. But for everything else I watch I go for the subs. ^_^

And I have still never seen Dragon Ball yet. Though I've heard from a friend that it was somewhat inspirational to Eiichirō Oda, the creator of One Piece. And since One Piece is now my favourite anime after Mermaid Melody, Dragon Ball may be worth checking out. But it's too long for me to get into at the moment, what with 508 episodes to its name.

I watched both the DBZ and GT serious. Those of you who haven't watched the GT series, I would definitely recommend it for watch. I don't recommend, however, that you really pay attention to the storyline. It's the battles that are fascinating to watch; they're almost more epic than DBZ's.

Though for some reason, the Cell saga(in DBZ's) seemed to be popular with a lot of people. I do have to admit however, that it is very awesome and had a lot of good parts to it and was dramatic and many people hyped up over it; but...eh. For me, the Cell saga was okay. It never screamed spectacular except in the very end when the saga has really reached it's peak and Gohan and Cell were tied in a Kamehameha.

It was all thanks to Vegeta that cell was dead. Finally, the Price of all Saiyans redeemed himself. But honestly, I found the Majin Buu saga to be sort of more entertaining and whatnot. D:

My favorite sagas from each one are as follows:

In the original DragonBall, my favorite was by far the Piccolo saga. It was amazing. It had young Goku, and older Goku, and one of my favorite characters to this date; Piccolo. Plus, the first villain managing to get his wish.

I found the Majin Buu saga one of the best Z saga. What I find interesting about it is, they planned on retiring Goku from the series in the Buu saga; allowing Goten to take the limelight as the main character. Fans were outraged, and Goku was brought back by popular demand.

In GT, my favorite saga was the Black-Star Dragonball saga. I found all those battle with the Black-Star Dragons so epic. The Baby saga was ok as well. Along with the Super 17 saga.

I agree with you that GT has some amazing fights, but the story is lacking from the usual DragonBall style :/

Wow, I haven't watched DB in years. I watched the original series back in 1998 and was immediately hooked. Then-once I moved to America-I watched DBZ, but soon stopped watching after the Majin Buu Saga.

DBGT was horrible, and I only watched, like, three episodes from it before stopping.

BUU. BUUUUUUUUUUU. NOT BOO.
BOO YOU.

I think I watched a few episodes of the Majin Buu saga, because of programming and all, but I loved it. Same with the rest of the series.

People actually watched GT?

I fell out of the fandom and out of interest before DBZ even ended. :| Too long-winded and repetitive for me. Thus when GT came along I just didn't care anymore. I might've watched an episode or two but what I did see was boring so I didn't bother after that.

I don't think I've watched any DBZ in about 6 or 7 years. o_O

I remember when I was younger my older brother was obsessed with DBZ. And I couldn't stand it. Every Saturday it came on. I was like, "They still haven't beaten Mr.Freezer?" and my brother would roll his eyes and say, "That's Freiza.." "Yeah, well it's still taken thirty episodes... I wanna watch Digimon..."

And that's pretty much it. Although I'm not a fan of DBZ, i'm still pretty disgusted by that live movie trailer... yuck.

DB/Z/GT are still my favorite animes. I have been buying all of the DVD's of the seasons now that they've been coming out in really nice boxed sets. I watch em all the time ^^;

I liked it for...probably a year. For some reason, I just suddenly lost interest in the series. (I'm surprised I liked it in the first place. I normally can't stand shows like that.) I know one year at school, there were a lot of people interested in it. In fact, it reminded me of the Pokémon fad. It's been so long since I've seen it, I barely remember anything about it, though.

I used to watch DBZ when I was younger. Then they started showing re-runs over and over, which was annoying enough... and then by the end of the Frieza saga my interest in it was finally shot. Two weeks' worth of episodes for supposedly ~five minutes~ of time in the show, with most of it fighting? Too much for me, I'm afraid, I need a little more plot than that. :(

Admittedly, I can't stand any anime that tries to focus on fighting for a good deal of the time in an arc (it's not just DBZ I've lost interest in for that reason).

I never did like the Dragon Ball franchise to begin with. Poor character design and the aforementioned excessive filler are just two of the many issues I have with it.
