Yeah, definitely. I'm don't watch too much anime (although I'd be willing to watch Death Note if I could find somewhere to download it from), but DBZ will always have a place in my heart. If not because it's a seriously awesome show, then because my friends and I all loved to kill each other in the PS2 games.

Good times.

I doubt the veracity of that assertion. Let's just say that David's tastes in anime are actually quite limited.
 
I think the last two animes I watched were School Days and Gurren Lagann. XD; School Days was ridiculous, but good and Gurren Lagann was good. :3

But Dragon Ball Z is my all-time favorite anime. I remember rushing to finish my homework in 5th grade in time to watch the new episodes that would premier on Toonami. XD; Those were the days...;;
 
I don't watch anime as much anymore. XD; It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I've lost interest for it. The last manga I read was... Death Note (I think?), and that was last year, haha. The last anime I saw was Hetalia, about a week ago. Before that, it's been months since I've watched anime. :3

Ahem, I agree, the anime versions of those suck, but the manga is top notch. Naruto Shippuden is awesome, it has action round every corner, and still manages a plot. OP is hilarious, actiony, and everything else good. And Pokeomn Special, is well everything except hentai... so, yeah.
 
I just remembered a good anime that my stepfather and I watched when I was in the first grade.

I belive it was called Ruroni Kenshin.
 
To be honest, while the anime adaptation of Death Note was reasonably good, it could have been much better.
 
I haven't watched any anime since like...November. I'm planning on picking Code Geass and Death Note back up over the next few days though. It's not that both of them aren't amazing - because they are - but I've just not been in an anime mood lately.
 
I'm the person who watches a lot of anime, including ones that are still airing (Toradora!, Maria+Holic, etc.)

Death Note was okay to me. I own the complete manga series, and didn't even like the series that much. XD [/otaku]
 
Casshern SINS is the only anime I've been watching recently, everything else has been a bit unappealing to me. I absolutely love the animation style used in SINS and it's got a pretty good story going. I was watching the second season of Gundam 00, but dropped it about four episodes in when I realized how ridiculous it is.

I loved Kekkaishi, at least the anime anyway. It was something I randomly found and downloaded an episode, I think I ended up watching the entire series within the span of a month or so, definitely the fastest I've gone through a series in a while.

It's probably good that you stopped where you did; the second season of Gundam 00 has steadily gotten more and more ludicrous.

As bad as it is already, the second season of 00 still has quite a way to go before it plummets to that level. Just be grateful it hasn't gotten THAT bad.
 
I was going to read all of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, but I managed to stumble on a spoiler in TvTropes' "I am not making this up" section, saw how ridiculous a story could get, and decided to stop after reading just two volumes.

A lot of other series revel in their ludicrousness, and there are tons that do a better job at portraying the whole "serious" aspect without becoming a self parody. 00 has a great team working behind the scenes that I expected to do a lot better, instead you get just more constantly ridiculous things. Destiny was filled with its own problems, but I liked the characters there...at least until the final 10 episodes anyway. XD
