A friend of mine actually has an event program on his DS - 'tis for a Deoxys.

Australia doesn't get much in the way of events - thus far, we've only had a Manaphy, and a Darkrai, which I actually bothered getting.
GSC was the best, by far. It was the improved types and stats, AND the incredible storyline and map. They got one thing right that games never do anymore. Good-backtracking. You can go back to places to advance the storyline and get further with new abilities, etc. If anyone's played ZeldaH, they'll know what Bad-Backtracking is...
In agreeance here - I also felt that it was the most enjoyable Pokemon game, really... still like the current games but GSC still holds the titles. And the backtracking was quite fun to do as well.

All of my experiance with Snap was at someone else's house for a good few hours years and years ago, but thought it was pretty decent from what little I played. I picked it up pretty quickly as well...

I've never played that :O

I played Channel though... it has many memories. XD;;

Snap was really fun. I'd never played it before, so I decided to get it from the Wii Shop Channel a while back. I loved it, but I managed to beat it in a day.

Pokemon Snap is fun for a brief game, although the entertainment value of watching the various reactions that the Pokemon have makes up for it ...somewhat.

It was much more enjoyable when photos could be printed out at Blockbuster locations, though.

Ooh Jirachi. I think I still have that. My Uncle deleted Celebi though... I think. XD

NICE CARDS.

I still lol at that. XDDD

Weren't they suppose to make a second pokemon snap? i heard about it the same time ruby and sapphire came out, it was suppose to be for gamecube.

They had that? I remember taking so many pictures of charmanders right after throwing an apple right on their heads >.<

I never got Pokemon Channel.

It never really looked too appealing to me. And of course, I don't live in the U.K. so there wasn't even a Jirachi to come with it. ;_;

Honestly, Hey You, Pikachu! was the superior game, even if it was the first one.

Maybe you are thinking of early rumors regarding Colosseum?

Yes. There was a booth that involved purchasing a card for around $3.00, bringing a Pokemon Snap cartridge in, and printing out a selection of pictures from it on a sticker sheet. In fact, I still have the used cards lying around, as well as a few of the stickers unused.

I have both Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Channel (latter being the reason I bought my GameCube- yes, I wanted that Jirachi that badly...).
Pokemon Snap was entertaining for a while, but after having seen every pokemon hundreds of dozens of times, it got...boring.
Same with Pokemon Channel. I loved collecting the cards for while, too and got kinda obsessed with that, but I lost interest just as quickly. It's not as if something really big, unexpected and interesting happens often. Just once in a blue moon. Too boring for me. XD
But I got the Jirachi. =3

Pokemon Snap was very epic when it first came out, I remember always wanting to play it if I was at a friend's house that had it. Quite a revolutionary game.

I remeber playing Pokemon Snap. The good old times. ^_^
I annoyed my brother at the same time. xD
Though I lost intrest in it quickly.

Crissy xX

Pokemon Snap got pretty boring fast for me. I do give them props though, it was very unique.

Maybe that is the reason why I never found it to be that 'revolutionary': I got it pretty late. =3 Years after it originally came out, you know, I started my Pokemon game collection with Crystal, and then, it took a few years to get all the games, and so, I got Snap pretty late. Don't even know when....XD

Well yeah, N64 graphics are pretty forgettable nowadays. It was a lot better when it first came out.

Woo 3,000 posts! \o/

Congrats on your 3000 postes, Aurafire! xD, Im still working on 1000

xD

N64? It made headlines when it came out, now, :P
