I've been in Public my entire life. My parents had offered to send me to a private highschool in 9th grade, but it was a catholic school, and that...really isn't my thing.

Plus, I didn't like the atmosphere there. It was a uniform school, which I am totally against (I'd rather be seen as myself with my own sense of style going on, than just one in the masses), and...I don't know. It was just too much of a transition at that point, I guess.
Seeing as I've always been used to wearing a uniform, I hate it. But I do think it has strong benefits. It does reduce bulling and completely unneeded comments if everyone is wearing the same thing.

Speaking of doing English at university, someone on my MSN messaged me, who wishes to study English at York, and it amazes me how they're expecting to do a literature degree when they can't even understand the difference between "you're" and "your" after 18 years.

To be fair, sometimes stuff like that can get confusing. I still have to think for a second to make sure I'm using its and it's properly. But I'm always trying to look on the bright side of things. :p

Grammar's pretty cruel sometimes. I like to think I have great grammar, but there's still stuff I don't know. Would you believe I didn't know that you were supposed to have a comma after the second to last item in a list until my senior year of high school? :(

And suits are awesome!

I've gotten used to using 'its' and 'it's' now. I haven't got horrible grammar, but it's not as good as some. It's get me by with essays and such though, and I've been used as the example in class before, too. It's definitely not as bad as it used to be, huh? XD

Suits aren't bad, I guess. XD It wasn't the suits I was complaining about though - more the shirt with a sweater over it. I've only had to wear a suit for one year, which I hated at the time. I don't mind wearing a suit to school now because I have free choice.

Yeah, I know how that goes. I still have my issues. I keep using a and an wrong sometimes. It's when it's something like energetic boy. It's supposed to be a energetic boy, not an energetic boy. I keep doing the latter. :( I got used as an example for that in one of my literature classes.

Yes, I remember those days. >:D *shot*

Bah, sweaters. I usually can't wear them. The sleeves bother me. Which is a shame, becuase I have some really cute sweaters. I confuse my poor grandma by wearing t-shirts and tank tops during the winter. XD;

I still get mixed up on that one too. Thank you for trying to explain it to me on MSN. XD Literature classes are one of ones I'm looking forward to taking next year. I'm kind of sad I didn't study English for the last two years though. I enjoy writing and such a lot now. But perhaps it's better than I'm wanting to study it rather than wishing I'd opted for something else at A-level.

Sweaters are cool. The ones for school were woolen and stretchy though. They looked awful on us.

Literature classes are fun! It's always interesting, reading a whole bunch of books. The essays aren't, though. :( Well, except for one literature class. Then again, those essays had more to do about me and my life experiences than looking at a book and writing an essay about it. For me, it's a lot easier to do the former than the latter.

Ewww, wool. That'd really get to me. Thankfully, I never went to a school where I had to wear a uniform. (An? An doesn't sound right...)

I never had to go to a school where I was required to wear a uniform, either, thankfully.

Though, then again... We did have gym uniforms in my public school... But they weren't THAT bad... I still wear my shirt and shorts now and then. They're pretty comfy XD

*yawns* I've been on the computer all day. Not really that healthy, you know?

Aw, well...

Hopefully you'll be able to get through your final high school years, Sky. You have a strong heart, you know it's true <3 Just remember, if you think positively, positive outcomes will flock to you like butterflies flock to nectar-filled blossoms! *shot for Wind Waker reference* If you think your principal will be great, then he will be. But if you go along with what the ninth graders said and think him a horrible person, it'll happen. You alone can set the mood and whatnot. All it requires is brain power...

Yeah, yeah, that's enough out of the metaphysics lover XD

I've always had to wear uniforms. I despise them. They're uncomfortable, they discourage originality, the list is endless!

I never had to wear a uniform back when I went to a private school (b'')b We had a pretty strict dress code, but nothing standardized. Though interestingly enough, the year after I left they adopted a uniform, haha XD; Glad I left when I did.

Gah, uniforms. Always had them, and always some shade of blue.
My primary school had a teal(blueish-teal, to be exact)-coloured shirt/jumper with..yellow pants. I hated that uniform.
My intermediate school had a dark blue uniform, with yellow stripes down the side, aaargh.
High-school, navy blue with black pants, so I guess that it's bearable. But still, onerous.

Here in Australia uniforms are all the rage. Not amongst us students though. >_< Expensive and not-that-great clothing either. =/

Ugh, if I were FORCED to wear a uniform, and there was a difference depending on what gender, I'd wear the boy's uniform. I wouldn't care if I get teased, I wouldn't care what people thought, if it meant I didn't have to wear a skirt I would love it.

Zuzu hates skirts and the like. Remember that.

I know I'm being stereotypical about this, but still... I would hate wearing a girl's uniform unless it were exactly like a guy's uniform D=

Well, I went through all my elementary school years and 3/4 years of high school without needing a uniform. But unfortunately, I was a year late, as they introduced them in my senior year. >_<

They had originally told us that us grade twelves wouldn't have to get them, seeing as it was our last year there. But something happened regarding that, and it ended up not being the case. But on the bright side, I only had to endure them for one year. XD

I wish my school wore uniforms. 8/

I've never had to wear a Uniform before, which is great because i would look terrible in one. Just godawful.

Before I moved, my old public school in Florida had to wear a polo shirt (red, white, or blue) and shorts (tan, black). It wasn't bad really since it was kind of comfortable, but you would hate it when a lot of people wear the same colour for one day.

I remember seeing all reds and whites. Nobody wore blue, lol.
