Well, I don't think I've even been to a McD's since they started advertising their coffee so I wouldn't know. XD; But that's weird, man. Weird. Leave the specialty coffees to cafes. D:

Leave the coffee to Starbucks, hehe.

When McDonald's included salads.. I lol'd. The irony. A salad cannot save you from gaining the ten pounds..

I know there's an intersection in downtown Toronto that has a Starbucks on one corner, a Second Cup on another corner, and then another Starbucks on another corner. I dunno if it's still like that but I always found it ridiculous--especially since they were all always full. XD; So yeah, they're everywhere.

I don't remember where it was but one of the people I follow on twitter linked to a site that had a list of the top 10 "dishes" at various fast food joints for sheer calorie intake. One of them was a salad--it was the fattiest (or whatever the word would be here) thing on the whole menu for the fast food joint it was at. I think it was Taco Bell or something. @_@ But yeah, even the salad isn't too healthy at some fast food places, I'd wager.

I don't drink coffee. I'd love to for the caffeine hit but it's too bitter for my tastes. Even the really sweet dessert types (like ice caps, etc.) are just... augh. I like how they taste up until that aftertaste, blech.

Baaw my lunch break is over. ;;

You do realize that Taco Bell "salads" aren't actually salads, right?

Maybe it wasn't Taco Bell then. D: I know it showed a picture of a salad.

Maybe Burger King or something.. I dunno.

Have you seen the book called "Eat this, not that"?
:/ It's weird.. it's like.. if you're in a mood for a hamburger.. they compare different fast food restaurants..
Like a Big Mac is 540 calories but a Whopper is like 720 or something like that.

They are very wrong, McDonalds themselves say a Big Mac is over 1,500 calories. A whopper according to Burger King is worse. Or just slightly better.

Where did you hear this? They put nutrition information on all their boxes now. Plus they have the flyers now .__. Where the heck did you hear that it was 1,500 calories?

A Big Mac is about 540 calories, plus a butt load of sodium. The real problem is when this is combined with fries and a sugary drink (which could very well top 1500 calories). Long story short: proceed with caution.

Yeah ._. It's the fries that are a killer, too! So much sodium/salt .__. It tastes so good, though.. but that kinda stuff you should only be having once in a while if at all. @@;;

And you can always go for diet soda instead of regular. Some people might not be willing to, but it isn't a problem for me since I prefer diet.

Does anyone remember the movie Super Size Me? There was a guy in that movie who ate like 5 Big Macs every day, and he was still really skinny.

Ah, someone else who prefers diet! <3 I hate the taste of Coca Cola, and I can just about bear Pepsi, but I'll take Diet Coke/Pepsi and Pepsi Max any day.
