It's been too long since I've eaten that food, but it'll be a bit longer since I don't have the money to pay for it. That's surprising, seeing as how I don't have a job D8

Essays and poetry share many similarities. Different genres of writing doesn't necessarily mean there's a whole wall separating the both of them. The language that you may utilize in poetry can be used in an essay to create great imagery/personification/whatever floats your boat. It's one of the wonders of the elements of writing. ^_^ Essays are supposed to be interesting and have a combination of different elements, like poetry. It's not supposed to be boring and bland.

The internet is no exclusion. Remember that you're communicating with human beings; you want to make yourself look good and sensible, at least.

But poetry is excluded to using periods and many other forms of punctuation. It is barely used, if ever, in a poem. However, the poem speaks from the heart to other people as well, so should it really be period exclusive?

I became a vegetarian myself a few months ago. My parents for some reason find this absolutely hilarious ._.

It was a bit difficult at first, but after the first few weeks, I had found that I had lost the urge to eat meat almost completely =/

...It took me a few seconds to get that, and even when I did, it still wasn't that great. Totally not worth getting infracted over, but I doubt anyone here would report you for something that insignificant :P
