Personally, I'm much more fond of Hearts of Iron II. I like being able to rape history in creative ways, like conquering Germany (and Austria and Hungary too!) as Czechoslovakia. Also, it's VERY mod-friendly. For instance, guess who replaced Hirohito as Emperor. While California and Texas really are available nations in the unmodded game, it can get pretty hilarious with mods, especially when you goad them into fighting each other; to quote the Dead Kennedys, "California Über Alles."

I'm considering getting that off of Steam right now, but I think I'll see if I can find a demo on their site first.

I do like some fighting games... just not the MMA, WWE, and similarly inspired fighting games. It's just no fun when the commercialism in a game doesn't involve utilizing it to the fullest extent like in some baseball sims.

Fighting games never really appealed to me for the most part. The only fighting game I've found myself really interested in would have to be Arcana Heart, though finding a working copy of it is a bit of a chancy proposition nowadays...

Fighting games are pretty cool in my book. Granted, the only ones I'm somewhat respectable at are Super Smash Brothers and Touhou's spin-off series. I'd really like to play more mainstream fighting games, but when the only potential opponent around the area is your 10 year old brother, it gets stale quick. T_T

xD Fighting games are fun. Liiike, being the Brute on Borderlands is fun. Aaand, I also saw an xbox 360 game/arcade game thing where it is a straight up brawler. I forget what it is called, but I saw it on X-Play. C:

anywasy.. the only computer games i have played was being freken forced to play W.O.W.. it was alright.. all i did was make maps and sabotage my troop/side >.< just to give me SOME challenge at least.. RPG are like THE BEST!!!!

I'm not a huge fan on fighting games, I prefer games that require strategy more than reflex.

With that said, I still play Action RPGs and FPSes when I can, if only for the simple fact that they're fun.

I played a game belonging to the MK franchise back when I was an 8 or 9 year old kid. That game amazed me. I was like...hooked. The fatalities and stuff really appealed a lot to me. The characters had pretty awesome designs and attacks.

Meh, fighting games feel too button-mashy to me. :|

Suddenly, I ache for good storyline in a game, unless the game in question is so good that a relatively excusive plot works. The only games I've played with good plots were Mother 3 and The World Ends With You, and the former sort of didn't do to well due to the inability of the GBA to do much. :|

I need to play more JRPGs...but they're too hard. They all need so much grindng. ;-;

And well, I always had the urge to play RPGs. Apart from Pokemon, that is. Could never play any good ones.
