They should have called it the iSlate like Erica said. Then it would have sounded more sleek. ;o;

iSlate does sound better suited, so I agree.
Anyways I've never read an Ebook version, just the book for me.

I guess I sort of felt like mega-quoting XD

Ah, we can only wish.

I want one of those electronic things that let you read books :<

Even with my laptop.

I'd still recommend an e-reader, means no eyestrain, and much more portable.

Yeah, they're pretty cool. Just having an original copy of the book feels greater in your hands than an electronic reading device.

The funny thing is, with my ereader, I still feel the notion to want to change page with my hand (flipping action), now all I have to do, is make a sliding motion with my finger from left to right (I doubt I'll try to slide an actual book's page from left to right, it would be funny though).

Its weird, cause if I were to ever buy a book online, I would never read it. Its happened before. I guess I just need the actual thing in my hand. idk :S

I've been reading a lot more now that I have this ereader. Mind you the books I do have in my room, I never really thought to bring on the bus. Because otherwise I'd listen to music or play a game on my DSi.

Plus with my ereader, there is a built in headjack, so I can listen to music on it too (or audio books).

It's rather complicated if you think quite deeply in to it. I mean, I don't know a great deal about these devices, so i'm just gonna stick to the actual book.

You get to feel like a Star Trek crew person, carrying it around though. ;)

I want a Netbook NAWZ! >:O

When I hear 'iPad' I immediately think of a women's tampon pad thing XD >.>

You can also put ebooks on the ipod touches/pads, but with the backlight, the eyestrain would be incurred.

----

EDIT: So I got a reply for the wrong book being purchased, and they said they confirmed the error, and were giving me a refund. Nothing more. Which is fine, I just hope they fix it up, so I can buy it for real. XD

There are quite a few ebook websites out there, but the two I'll be sticking with are kobobooks and the sony one.

Novels aren't my thing, I'd much prefer to watch a movie rather than read it lol.

Yeah, I couldn't read the LOTR trilogy without skipping vast amounts [of singing and descriptions]. XD

*stabs entrancer. in the face then leaves to watch the blood trickle down*

I personally prefer paper copies of books over e-books. That way I can read them offline. And, if necessary for an emergency, I have flammable material to start a fire. ;)

lol... good point. Though you could say that if a person were lost, they could use their iPhone to make their way back (this is of course if they get service to begin with). Though in most areas nowadays, there is at least cell phone coverage.

*orders a fire online*

:O

*blushes*

Currently I am writing an essay, it is going relatively okay, considering. I am writing it at school, so that way I remain focused, obviously currently I am here though. Once I get home, I will write my second essay, which will be easier and less pages.

I can also put my school notes on my ereader.

I don't write notes or anything : |

People assume I study alot as I'm top in my class for English, but I have honestly never studied for anything in my life, never.

I prefer actual books over eBooks or whatnot personally, although I prefer writing on a computer than on paper, heh. Personally though if I want to read something on the computer I just tend to go to the fanfic section. XD

Hmmm, so I'm not brandishing a large cavalry it seems :S

Looks like this will be a one man war to carry out, and convert the world.
What exactly are you trying to convert them to?

As for books and what not, I prefer to have it in my hands. Online versions take too long to read, and they tend to strain my eyes more, plus when I'm online of any sorts, I'm tempted to other things than read books so... I never finish it.

Converting people to get ereaders for ebooks. The ereaders are different, in that they don't have a backlight. Since they don't have a back light you won't get eye strain.

Lol... hai der entrancer. :P

For whatever reason, I wonder if I can start up the new fashion accessory of wearing aviator-like goggles. XD
