Llamas are much closer in appearance to sheep than they are to camels, if you couldn't tell from the picture I posted. ;)

Among other things, camels have huge humps, and have much thinner wool, opposite what a llama has.

Numel and Camerupt have nothing in common with llamas, aside from the fact that they're based off a species of dromedary! D:<

Well, I would consider Ampharos a llama, because it looks more like a llama than a sheep, in my opinion, but that's the closest Pokemon will probably ever get to creating a llama, since I'm fairly certain they aren't all that well known in Japan. D;

Hey! I LIKE AMPHY! D: And I still think it looks more like a llama than a sheep. Amphy has a really long neck if it is supposed a sheep, in my opinion. And I've seen bald sheep a couple times, so I know how long a sheep's neck is.

I see Amphy as a sheep-dragon thing (hey, its original name DOES have "dragon" in it; it just lacks the type).

Now, what would people consider Absol as?
 
Absol is a...an Imp mixed with a wolf! Or chimp/wolf!

Also, they should totally make a Palmtop Tiger pokemon. XDDDD [/Loves Toradora!]

Absol may be based on the Barghest, a monstrous black dog in English folklore. Seeing one was believed to portend imminent death or misfortune, but unlike the Barghest, Absol warns people about disasters. It may be also be based on the black cat superstition. Absol is also similar to the mythical Mothman, not because of physical appearance, but its presence is a warning of disaster. Its independence, habitat, and body seem to be reminiscent of a cougar. Absol's head is modeled after a Taijitu ("yin-yang"). Also, Absol may resemble the kutabe, a white beast that predicted that a plague would sweep through the Toyama Prefecture of Japan.

Absol has a strange appearance, now that I think about it. Probably inspired by a "youkai" (mythical creatures, demons, ghosts, et al, for those who don't know what this means) from Japanese mythology. EDIT: Like Roswell just posted about before me.
