You're also aware that the H1N1 vaccine isn't the only that can give neurological impairments?
Guillain-Barré syndrome simply causes paralysis, not permanent brain damage that impairs forward movement (a rather freakish occurence that I doubt has anything to do with the vaccine directly, but whatever), which is what these people are talking about.Dude, guys, all flu vaccines (even the normal one) have a chance of giving you... whatever that ailment is. I forget what it's called. It's also, iirc, usually temporary. :/
Anyway, I got the H1N1 vaccine back in December. The needle itself was one of the easier ones I've had but maaaan did my arm ache the day after. D: Took a while for the vaccine to circulate out of my arm, I guess. I couldn't lift my arm very high all week.
Not true, the H1N1 vaccine (shot) is the inactive (dead) virus, you cant get sick off of inactive viruses. The nasal spray however, has the living one in it.Dude, guys, all flu vaccines (even the normal one) have a chance of giving you... whatever that ailment is. I forget what it's called. I haven't gotten flu shots .. ever XD;
Which is okay with me, because I don't really like needles. ~_~;
They're just so.. D:
I don't take the regular flu shot either. I'm not its target age group. And if I were to get it, it wouldn't be as harmful as it would be to others.Lol... The H1N1 shot is a joke... I've never taken the flu shots at all, and never will, and likewise have never gotten sick with the flu.
Talking about phobias, I can't say I have a debilitating fear, but I do not like not being able to move (something akin to fear of enclosed spaces).
I'm unfortunantly FORCED to get the shotI don't take the regular flu shot either. I'm not its target age group. And if I were to get it, it wouldn't be as harmful as it would be to others.
But with the swine flu, it doesn't discriminate. In fact, my age group is the a risk group (not specifically, but it aims younger than the regular flu). SO, better safe then sorry.
ah okay...
The interesting thing too was that Americans got the nasal live virus form of the vaccine, while Canadians got the needle version of the dead virus. Apprearantly, because it is dead, one would get less negative symptoms and develop the same immunity as the nasal kind.
