They have the ability to check the sites you've visited if they're given a warrant to do I believe. By searching ever site your IP adress has appeared on.
 
Well, just last night, 3 kids got arrested after robbing a 7-11. No one was hurt or anything.

Thanks. I liked the picture, it was worth making an avatar out of since my icons are usually of models anyway.

I was on PC and someone PMed me and said "I know your IP adress.. later I checked what it was for real and it was the one he PMed me.. can people find where u live and stuff using the address?

I think that they can track down where your computer is, but I'm not really sure :x
