But probably not. I don't care about this wreck of a country enough. I used to care, but now that our "leaders" are running it into the ground, its not worth killing anyone over.

Aren't many Americans still being as xenophobic as they ever were? I know Arizona is with that immigration law passed a while ago.

It isn't the only country, though, despite various countries trying to take steps against it, that racism is still alive and well. There's a very well documented racist history of the Japanese against the South Koreans.

True... but all I was saying is that it's still pretty much as xenophobic as ever... and it's also hypocritical in that roughly 95% of its citizens are descended from immigrants, too.

I'm being nagged to join West Point just because they've been sending the usual paraphernalia along with the College promotional materials. But then again if I wanted to join the Military it would have been the Air Force.

Oh well, my beliefs have changed these past 3 years so Public University it is. :O

Many countries are racist and xenophobic. It's amazing to realize that even when you live in the US. :/

It's fun when you think how 99.99% of the Americans are descendants of immigrants. So it's OK if you leave your country, go live to a new continent, kill off the natives and create your own cities. But! If someone dares to leave their own country and go live to said cities, let's get them in jail.

Russians and Chinese are beginning to see a decline in my country's approval rating meaning both countries are starting to hate us. No, I'm not a US stater ^_^ We also got laughed at when we made a big deal about 6 illegal immigrants from 2-3 different countries.
 
I dunno, there are still some pretty racist countries out there.
My friend from the UK decided to go on vacation to Jamaica, got a hotel room, it was pretty good, Hotel staff was pretty nice... until he got home to find a photograph of HIS toothbrush inserted 4 inches into the -insert word for butt- of an employee. On the back was some very racist comments, not cause he was from the UK, but cause he was white.
Mind you he didn't know they did that until AFTER he had used it numerous times and got home and unpacked.

Word to the wise, keep your toothbrush in a secret compartment or something...
Just glad my GF wouldn't ever do that to me... she's Jamaican, and a sweetheart.

I'll agree with you about America's history, being quite racist and all, but it didn't start here, it started HUNDREDS of years ago.

Racism is an ongoing thing, it wont be stamped out ever, there will always be that one person who thinks he/she's better because the color of his/her skin.

On a side note, it's kinda unfortunate being white, if a white person goes to almost any country where the locals are not Caucasian, they will most likely be treated VERY differently.

Take Hawaii for example, it's a US state, but even being white there will end up costing you more money on groceries than a local...
(Dad lived in hawaii for a year or 2, my sis and I went there, and we noticed we got discounts on tourist attractions because we were considered 'locals' by my fathers Hawaiian ID card.)

Kinda true, I've traveled to Vietnam before and I keep getting people looking at me while I'm just passing through(They look in a "OMG!!!" way, not in a "I want Caucasians exterminated" way). They also treat me like some guest of honour compared to the Japanese/Chinese tourist. And the boys, oh god make them stop! I need an Anti-Boy Repellent. Though, some are pretty funny and fun to talk to XD

Lol, reminds me of this one time my semi-young Aunt decided to wear short shorts, and a small T-Shirt while walking around in Kuwait. (Mind you that is in the middle east)
The other girls looked at her like she was insane.

*Not being racist* I wonder how can the Middle Easterners survive the harsh heat while dressed like that.

Dressed in the robes and thicker clothing?
I can answer that.
You see, all that clothing keeps the harmful UV rays from literally cooking them from the inside.
UV rays are more dangerous than heat itself, humans can survive in pretty high heat when not being bombarded by the sun, think of a hot summer day in your house, like like 120 F, (Forgot how to convert F to C, or K, so I'm using F) You wont die, just be uncomfortable.

Now lets say when you go outside it's a little cooler, but you are walking along a 5 mile road with nothing but a pair of shorts and a thin T-Shirt.
You'll get pretty badly burnt, causing skin damage, and in severe cases, like the middle east, death.

Better to be uncomfortable and alive than be burn to a crisp, experience all that pain, then dead...


Having family that lives there is kinda nice, I learn a lot about the culture and how they survive.
