That does tend to happen without EV training, unfortunately.

But surely there are some people who don't EV train, who you could battle with. Just mention it in your battle request. ^^

I would battle you, but I EV train. Perhaps if I use my un-EV'd team from SoulSilver....

Well the in-game trainers are easy to beat.

I know...but i want to be able to beat other real life trains too and it seems only way i will win is if i am able to find non ev trainers.

EV train using PokeRadar. It makes it so much easier.

I have no idea what that is ill google it in a second.

Sometimes people have problems with Gym Leaders or E4 members. But they're usually just underleveled or they have poorly chosen moves.

I have never had a issue with a gym leader but i did have issues with the elite 4.

Edit:I have pokemon platinum and have yet to get pokeradar i just found out what it is.

Beat the elite four, see every sinnoh Pokémon (just in case this is your first time playing, you only have to see the Pokémon. You don't need to catch them), then get the PokéRadar and National Dex in Rowan's lab. After that you have to go to Pal Park and talk to Oak who is there and he will give you an APP for it as well.

Then you can chain Pokémon. Chaining is the process of following a strict list of rules to make the same Pokémon appear over and over again. The APP for it simply just keeps track of the numbers. If you get to a chain of 40, you have a 1 in 200 chance of seeing a Shiny Patch, which of course has the Pokémon your chaining in it, only it's shiny.

Here is a good video on how to do it.

When it came to play 4th gen games at the first time, I was like "lol, I don't even know 3rd gen properly, why to play 4th?". When I watched some episodes of Pokemon, I started to play it and now Platinum is one of my most favorite.

I don't even have a DS. Why would I bother buying one just to play one game?
Computer games are good enough for me, kthnx.

You can play them on the computer. o:

It's not against the rules to even suggest that, is it? @.@

Like Katalyst, I don't own DS. I'm playing ROM's. I like to play games with some extra speed. Platinum was available to do it. HG/SS is not. On every single emulator it has fatal crashes sometimes, and I had to save it all the time with reseting the ROM. It was getting monotonous, to start all over again. I just started to get bored from this and I don't play it now. I lost my motivation, but I wanted to complete it.

The only thing I don't like about HgSs is the method for moving the items around. At one point I was trading my Pokémon from Platinum to have SoulSiler as my "WiFi Base." But I eventually traded them back in favour of the system I knew. XD
What do you mean "moving items around"? :3

Only reason i bought my nitendo ds light was to play pokemon diamond and pearl then later i used it for emerald and now for platinum.

Nintendo ds's are real cheap only like $129.99.

its worth it and i only play pokemon games.
