The best part of being 18 is realising the mistakes you've made when you were younger. By this age, your outlook on the world is different, as well as your understanding, so as well as added responsibilities, you take on an entirely different mindset and notice those who make mistakes easier than you would have in the past. Though that's annoying, because I see... people who used to be how I was, which makes me wish I could change them, but then again, it's their own lives, they need to learn their own ways.
Everyone needs to make those mistakes. They form you. I'm scared of becoming older, though. I'm liking my simple life, and I don't want to lose what I've got. Because I know, that becoming older also means changing, because that's what people do. They change. I'm loving my friends, but sure as hell there is a big chance that I have to let them go *sigh*
... This is just a pretty immature 13-year old talking. My view will change, so there will probably be a day that I find everything that I just said childish xD.

You basically summed up why I want to be 18.

Most people my age are just testosterone filled teenagers who still don't even know what they want to do with their lives -___- All they talk about is dating and stuff like that when they can't even keep their own personal lives together. It would kill if my age of people would just be a little more... open-minded and productive. I hate hanging around people who act like little kids -.-

Or maybe I'm just too uptight about things. idk.

Thats what I think too.

I'm scared of reality. Even though it sound stupid I don't want to proceed on. Even tho I don't like how things are right now, I would prefer staying in something I know then going into the "Unknown". :x

but then again, it's their own lives, they need to learn their own ways.

So true, I've always tried warning people on what may happen but then I think the best way to learn is the hard way... through experience!

Also in regards to the person wanting to be 18 now, have you tried eating Rare Candy in real life? You might level up a few years.

8D My interest in Pokémon never faded~ My brother loses interest until a new game comes out, but not me! Even if I'm not playing the games, being in the fandom is v. fun. :D High-five!

*high-fives*

My brother lost a bit of interest, but not for very long, considering he got his own DS and Pokemon Platinum four months after I got mine (which seems like a long while until you realize he saved up for both on a $5 weekly allowance), and our lull in interest/playing was that time period right before I got my DS Lite and Pokemon Pearl.

I haven't missed a generation yet, I did miss Fire Red/Leaf Green however.

I too couldn't afford the new DS models that kept coming out... until a few days ago! I finally wanted a better looking DS as the old school model didn't age well. So I traded in some old PS3/PC/Gamecube games in order to buy a DS Lite Red. It's pre-owned but looks brand new.

Before buying Soul Silver I noticed a Pokemon Mystery Dungeons game in HMV going for £5... thought I'd give it a go. It wasn't actually bad! I was expecting it to be a horrific spin-off. I haven't returned to it since getting Soul Silver, but I will one day as I didn't get too far.

I didn't miss any of the sub-generations. I had LeafGreen barely even a month after it came out! ;D

I actually had only my indigo colored Game Boy Advance before getting my Mario red DS Lite. I didn't bother with the phat or the newer iterations. :\

Mystery Dungeon is an interesting spin-off, though I've never played it.

Same for me (:
I've been a Pokémon fan ever since the first games came out here - well, yeah, a year or 2 after that, they came out here when I was 2 years old ><. )

the only problem these days is that a lot of people are like 'Ohmygod, you're 13 and you still love Pokémon! aren't you to old for that ?'

People around here were only judging about Pokemon when they were 12/13/14 or are of the older/traditional generation or are pseudo-rednecks. They kinda stopped caring at 15 and some started getting nostalgic about it at that point. People started bringing in their Game Boys out of boredom. 8D

I LOL'd.

I can wait though, because in reality, I'm probably still not ready for the future.

I lovedd Mystery Dungeon!

@Charizard;
15? Haha what. Let's use my situation on PC, for example.

Decisions I made at 15:
Wrote a story about the staff being police, advertised it a lot
Posted for post count all the time
Wasn't mature at all
Made pointless posts

And that continued, with even more things added to those. On and on... those decisions weren't exactly positive and look at me now. My point is, I guess, that when you're 15/16, you're not quite in the right mindset to make certain decisions, life-changing ones, especially. Even at school, when I was 15, I didn't "study", or anything, really... I was still so immature about everything. I'd say an age to decide your future is most likely your last year of highschool, since you're choosing what to do after then, you're exposed to the world and no longer in the school walls.

@Haonn, yeah, growing up, sadly...isn't always that fun. XD;

@RockHardSemi, sometimes I wish we just automatically knew everything without making mistakes. XD

@EmeraldSerenade, well... they'll realise one day you were the mature one :)

[/probably late]

Myeah. People who say that to me are that age, anyway. I think everyone should be allowed to love whatever they want, and I think that if those kids knew about how hard Pokémon can be, they would be saying other things (:

Well when I was 15 here are some examples I say;
A kid getting beat into a coma and almost dying in front of me on the first day of school. (I realized that this is the real world, no more fun and game.)

Grades. You have to focus more on grades.

No one is going to treat you like a kid anymore, you have to pull your on weight.

College, you have to know what you want to be in life, otherwise you won't make it.

Among other things as well.

Honestly, my interest in Pokemon has been waning lately. It took a heavy discount for me to even pick up Soul Silver, and right now B/W are not appealing to me at all.
Maybe you'll get into Pokémon again in a bit. It's understandable you get tired of something after a while. There was a while that I didn't read any Manga, because I was sick of them. And see now, I'm reading far too much of them ><.

:( Am I the only one who misses being younger? I had less to worry about back then. Life was good.

Not that I have a lot to worry about now but eww, bills, rent, etc. Growing up sucks. ;_;

I miss being younger too ):
I don't want to go into the real world.
To bad I'm already in it o.o

I don't. :( Everybody thought I was stupid, lol. Being this age = perfect.

I could say ' We all do', but I'm still young, so myeah n_n.
It's understandable, though. I'd rather stay the age I'm now for eternity, than get older.

Yea, thats the only problem. When you're young, they think your stupid and people look down on you. (Both literally and figuratively.)

Thing is, I know now that I was stupid. So really, they have the rights to think that. Growing up/maturing is better than not understanding what you're doing wrong.

I don't miss being younger because there's not really anything I can do about it, aside from becoming a mad scientist and working for years on a reverse-aging machine. (b'-')b
O.o

Weird.....XD

The only thing about being younger I miss is not caring about anything XD
