Aaahh, sucky elementary days when you got everything confiscated.

Now, security guards could care less if you brought whatever the hell to lunch that's not a gun or drugs. Is it just the school policies, or have times changed?

yeah, Pokemon was actually banned completely in my grade school for awhile there. Dx

Probably a little bit of both. :/ Yu-gi-oh isnt the big craze like it used to be back when i was in elementary school. I hardly see anybody play anymore.

Well if you asked me, I'd say different policies.

Some school policies are horrible. I remember before I graduated, the principal added to school rules that you can't dye your hair color to a color that isn't a natural hair color, and there was also something else silly relating to hairstyles.

i remember there was this evil teacher in primary that actually came to a class and, when she saw someone playing with Yu-Gi-Oh cards, she ripped them up and threw them in the bin.

ripped them up. D:

They weren't mine, but it was scary as. I think they were my (best?) friend's.

and i have this teacher at my school who can tell if you're chewing gum like that. she looks old and harmless, but chew gum in her class and she'll be on to you without even looking. o_o

I hate teachers who can do that. And it's a long way to the dustbin from where I sit in class. >//>

lolz Pokémon cards were banned at my old school for a while because some kid got beaten up and had his shiny Charizard stolen. Not that it stopped people bringing them in regardless.

Apologies if this post is irrelevant, I just saw something about cards and decided to chip in ;D

I don't like gum anyways so that rule never affected me n_n
i know at my highschool, you cant have electronic devices at all. they search you before you come in.

And you can't bring a laptop unless you're in JROTC i think D;
how fail...what if i need it...for scientific purposes >:O /shut up rey

in elementary school i never remember having those rules. i could get in with all the toys i wanted, as long as i didn;t try screwing around during class it was all good n_n

i used to bring my GBA in all the time :P

I remember when they banned Pokemon cards from school back in the 6th grade. I think we were allowed to have them at recess and everyone would trade and stuff, but then they banned them there as well. I can't remember the motives behind it though as it was so long ago now. But then I do remember at the end of the school year they gave us a "Pokemon day" where we were all allowed to bring in our cards and toys. XD

Pokemon cards were banned from my high school a long time ago, the group of kids huddling in the playground like some gangsters around a poker table became far too much for my teachers to handle. Though in high school everybody seemed quite keen to trade Yu-Gi-Oh cards and teachers took the longest time to notice.

Cards of any kind are banned in my high school.

In fact, someone got suspended for bringing in a pack of Dora the Explorer playing cards and refusing to hand them over. XD

Is it still worth that much? :( I swear I saw a mint one for like $5 a few years ago.

Was tempted to buy it just to satisfy my inner 10-year-old but didn't have any money on me at the time.
