I always lie about my age, but the age I use online is the age I feel myself to be, rather than my real age. o_O;

Same.. I think it's a bit.. sad, too. I dunno if sad's the right word for it.. but it's just like.. wow.. that person can't even be honest about a freaking number.

if people want to change their age, its their prerogative, some members here are quite young in real life, and you have to be careful about the kind on info you put out on the internet.

Also, younger members are more prone to immature behavior, being a newb, etc. I wouldn't go around and flaunt the fact im in 12-13 and dont really know much. Especially since there are plenty of trolls to go around to mess with them.

I don't like lying about my age. Makes me feel all...bad. But I remember when I was 10 I lied about my age to join this contest for a "free" action figure.

Silly me.

I wasn't lieing i am 16 and i hate and don't want to be seen around anyone under 16 enless they are mature. My girlfriend has a bunch of 9th grade friends and they go around screaming on the streets talking loud and goofing off all day and its so immature and annoying.

85% of people are immature who are under the age of 16 and think everything in this life is a game.Wait intill they get deeper into there high school years and have to worry about grading,Jobs,College and more.

They won't think life is a joke then and thell be crying to be a kid again.

Wait, 9th graders do that? I thought we left that behind in middle school.
But you are right, it makes me feel a bit sad when I see kids my age do that kind of stuff. It makes the down to earth/normal teens look bad and were frowned upon by the higher/older students...

I'm barely turning 15 next year. And I think I'm part of the 15% of teenagers who DON'T think life is just a game.

Honestly though, I don't know what I want to do in my future years -__-

There needs to be some chart or something that says what constitutes what to be within the parameter of a certain age because I have never understood these sayings.

...though I'm guilty of saying stuff like that as well. >_O

I agree. Just wait until you guys get to college. Even if you're mature, ready for it or whatever, it will still kick your ass for awhile there until you adjust to it. its a big, big adjustment from high school.

I am not saying its wrong to have fun and be teenager but ure distrubting the peace,You never know a elderly person could be sleeping on that street ure yelling up and down on.

I am in the 11th grade this year and i got other things to think about like college,Job and what i want to do with my life.

I am not saying i am the most mature person but i dam sure ain't gonig to go around screaming and annoying older people.

And i guess i could be one of the older person even thou im 16 that it pisses off.My street me and another kid are the only ones over 16 and everyone else ranges from 7-13 and they run the streets day and night screaming, annoying people.

Other than the Euro and the World Cup, I honestly didn't see any purpose to why football was popular.

...Yes, I maybe saying that because I was really terrible at playing Football altogether when I was in High School. But after seeing it on the telly all the time, I just found it to be overrated. ¬_¬'.

Anybody here watched today's Inter Milan vs. Atletico Madrid match, for the Super Cup? :O

woohooh first football game of the season! I cant wait to perform in our marching band.

Isn't marching band horribly rigorous for practices? Or do I have a false opinion because I went to high school at a school that consistently has one of the best marching bands in the Upper Midwest?

If you look at Magmarizer's location, you'd see that he means American football.

Eyeshield 21 makes American Football interesting. 8)
Fictional sport shows tend to be rather uninspired in my opinion since you can pretty much guess an ending from the get-go. One exception is Cross Game, which combines slice-of-life elements with sports, though not a lot of people know of it since it's an anime...and it's not the most popular show/manga even within the anime community.

I have to disagree, but, then again, I can easily get into any sport if someone explains what's going on as I watch or play it.

Also, sports fiction tends to have predictable storylines, one such example being: "Such and such team sucks, but there's a new player in town who's not that good. The team starts out kinda slowly, then gets better and better, and eventually end up playing the team that destroyed them in the first game of the season in the championship, who, by the way, have won the last, oh, I don't know, 70 titles in that sport in that area, and end up having a very close game with them, and then end up winning on a last second score." Yeah, kinda like that.

/used to read a lot of sports fiction

It...doesn't seem all that different to me than a lot of older sports anime. I think there was just trepidation towards the genre because omgsportssunew is what the majority of the online world thinks of it. It's just the more popular ones that fall into the shounen trappings of "the chosen one who saves the team" and junk. Manga to anime generally isn't all that great since a lot is lost in the transition from print to anime.

Never really liked Cross Game that much from what I saw(about 6 episodes), don't know why. I much prefer Aoki Densetsu Shoot! or Hajime No Ippo, the former only because of the huge plot twist somewhere in the later half of the anime iirc.
