If it makes you feel better I can be your Bowser. And I said close second. I mean Minato is really good he just doesn't get enough love. I blame chasing after Sasuke from diverting the attention away from anything that is actually worth while such as Minato story.
 
But Gary Oak is so forgettable even his grandfather didn't remember his name! SO YEAH PROF. SAMUEL OAK WINS. xD

Gary Oak is the best of Ash's rivals. All the other ones (except for Barry...I'm biased OK) were pretty meh compared to Gary o3o

...That said, I don't think I've ever had a Pokemon anime theme before.

Ehhh I'd have to say Paul in terms of rivalry. Too me he brought the best out of Ash and their clashing ideals of how to raise a pokemon made for a good showing.

I understood the reference but that still made me laugh out loud, me and my dirty mind.
 
But did Paul have his own set of cheerleaders and a cool car and ten badges? That's what I'd like to know o3o (Although from what I've heard, Reggie seems pretty cool. Plus he's voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara, hnnnngh <3) Then again I couldn't stand DP and so I never really watched it and so what do I know. Reminds me, I should attempt to catch up on Best Wishes!, though I have so many episodes to watch @_@ Not too fond of the dub (it doesn't have Aoi Yuki or Mamoru Miyano; 'nuff said), but if it helps me get nearly up to speed on things...
 
Oh I'm not taking away from Gary the character. I absolutely love Gary personality compared to Paul, his arrogance humors me especially when he used it just to piss off Ash. If it was who do you like more I'd pick Gary over any character in pokemon. If it was better rival still have to go with Paul. And watch Best Wishes SG Krokorok next episode OMG!!!!

DBZ was were it was at when I was a kind back in the days were CN was actually relevant with Toonami and actual Anime on a daily basis on Adult Swim.
 
My parents thought DBZ was too violent and so I couldn't watch it. Then again, said parents also banned me from watching Rugrats because of how mean Angelica was to the other babies ._.; They even attempted to ban Fairly OddParents for some time because of how selfish Timmy was. I was probably 9-10 then. (I also remember while trying to stay up late at night at a hotel to see Scooby-Doo, I changed the channel to South Park and thought it was OK because it was a cartoon, and to a kid, all cartoons must be kid-safe, right? o3o My dad came in and told me to change the channel XD;)
