There was a shaking up where I live with that earthquake the originated in Virginia. It shook the house, and it startled & surprised me.

That was the one. OMG the house shook so much, I didnt know what to do, I thought the house was going to fall down. It was really scary. I just got up to get a glass of water and it starts shaking.

The house I had was really old. I'm just glad that nothing got messed up or damaged, although it did spook bout of my cats and then darted like mad up the steps and hid under the beds.

I felt a minor earthquake while in college (I was on living on the fourth floor of a dorm at the time). Nothing fell over or anything, just some light shaking. It was the kind of thing I probably wouldn't even notice if I had been asleep at the time.

Never been in an earthquake, nor any natural disaster other than thunderstorms but those are what everyone has so yeah kinda luckyyy.

I've never been awake in an earthquake. There have been a few, I've always been asleep. It sounds weird, but I wish I was awake to feel one.

I think I have never been in a natural disaster. Yet... I hope that I didn't just jinx myself.

The closest I've ever been to a natural disaster is when we had really really bad bushfires in 1994, and there was an inferno spiralling toward my suburb. From what I hear, it approached the opposite side of the suburb, got a few feet from people's back fences, and then the wind changed and blew it back on itself and put it out. I don't even remember this, but apparently I was a panicky mess lol. Three year olds tend to do that :P

I remember when I was a looooooot younger, I was really scared to go to Disney World in Florida because I had this (not completely) irrational fear that we'd die in a tornado accident. I was kinda scared of going to America at all what with the hurricanes and the earthquakes and the tornadoes and the religious fundamentalists... Well, maybe not those when I was 10-years-old, but the rest were all real fears.

To be fair, something like that could happen in any state.. xD;

I went to florida to visit someone back in 2005, and I didn't wanna go back to Kansas despite Florida's weather conditions.

I love Florida! Lived here my whole life. Thankfully, I've never experienced a bad hurricane. One year, my family already boarded up the windows and were trying to get out of town. Traffic was terrible. Suddenly, the hurricane turned away at the last minute...

Pffft, if I wanted to live in Florida I'd do it regardless of weather conditions.
Same with how I want to move California, and I'd like to vacation to Japan, even though some people think I'm crazy for that. xD;

It's risky, but this is me not caring.

And people say that's crazy? A lot of people want to go to Japan, doesn't matter where they come from. Do what you want to do, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :D
