Plot:

The role of the Avatar has come to pass through history as the world's sole spirit and saviour. The end of the One-hundred Year War saw the Avatar progress into his most powerful and dangerous form, the Avatar State. Sacrificing his rendition of immortality, the Avatar successfully ended the war and placed the fate of the world in the peoples' hands. Losing his ability to reincarnate, the last Airbender ended the line of the Avatar and the fate of his race.

Another one-hundred years have passed since the Fire Nation's defeat and the Avatar's last stand. Harmony has reigned over the four countries since the conclusion of the war and many of the countries' people have returned to peaceful and prosperous lives. The establishment of stable governments, international support between countries, and the introduction of two subsidiary Bending disciplines have brought the four countries into a new age.

However, a new threat has arisen. A rogue group of Benders have been recognised for various crimes against the four countries and are currently being pursued under the command of the nations' leading military officials and tactical advisers. An international pursuit of the criminal organisation has disrupted the four countries' one-hundred year armistice, in which the governments have worked to establish after the One-hundred Year War. The group's true ambitions remain unknown and their crimes against the four countries appear nothing more than acts of terrorism. The group is known as; Boshoku.

Your Role:

You derive from one of the seven remaining Bending discipline families that exist in the world of the Avatar. You will start out from wherever your History permits and will eventually meet up with the other participants of the RP, in your search for the Boshoku. The focus of your journey will be to confront the organisation for whatever reason your character has employed, regardless of whether it is good or bad. This is your role from the beginning of the RP, but it may change during the course of the story depending on the situations you face.

Rules:

1. There can be no relations to characters from the actual show or other related services. This RP is focused on original characters but uses Avatar concepts.

2. Spelling, grammar, and vocabulary are important. Make sure that your posts are legible and understandable. Also, first-person perspective will not be allowed. All posts must be written in the third-person perspective.

3. The dominant rules that apply to this RP include; power-playing and god-mode. Both will not be tolerated without the consent of a participant's approval. Otherwise, standard PC rules apply.

4. No character can become an Airbender or use Airbending techniques.

5. If you decide to involve yourself with another character in battle, make sure you discuss the outcome with whoever you are opposing. Power-playing will not be accepted without consent.

6. Based on the five Chinese elements, two new Bending disciplines have been incorporated into the RP. These include; Woodbending and Metalbending. Characters will only be allowed to know one Bending Discipline.

Boshoku: A small group of criminal Benders who have been committing crimes against the four countries. Their individual identities are unknown and their mission has yet to be clarified. Nothing is known about this powerful group of rogue Benders who have been terrorizing the countries' people.

Woodbending: Woodbending is a subsidiary form of Earthbending. Woodbenders are capable of controlling the life and movement of plants and plant-life. Woodbending focuses on the manipulation and growth of plants, which allow Woodbenders to produce medicines, provisions, and even weapons when needed.

Metalbending: Metalbending is another subsidiary form of Earthbending, but at a much smaller scale. Metalbenders are trained to harness the strength and energy of minerals in the ground, rocks, and other materials. Metalbending is especially prominent in the construction of buildings, tools, and other man-made structures that often involve metal and steel.

Another RP I came up with after being inspired by someone else's idea :nervous:. This is kind of like a fusion between Naruto's Akatsuki and Avatar, The Last Airbender's concepts. Comments?

Dude. That is just flat out awesome. I'd totally join~ Sounds like lot's of fun, but, you might want to make a way that the RPer's would join up for sure, otherwise you'll have a bunch of people wandering around looking stupid.

BTW: Metalbending is apart of Earthbending. :x And Wood/Plant-bending is apart of Waterbending. :xxx *Shot for being an A:TLA dunce*

I'd probably join too. However, I have a suggestion as well. There are people like me who've seen enough of the show to want to join, but not enough to know everything about items such as bending. It may be benefitial for you to add a little section going into detail about bending so that you don't have people joining and constantly screwing up.

Avatar: The Avatar is the world's sole spirit and saviour, born into the world as a human. He or she possesses the ability to harness and control all four elements, spanning across; water, earth, fire, and air. The Avatar is also capable of ascending into his or her most powerful and dangerous form, the Avatar State. In this form, the Avatar's powers become almost limitless and can only be triggered by his or her deepest emotions or by unlocking all seven bodily Chakras. However, during this form, the Avatar is also at his or her most vulnerable. If the Avatar should be killed during the Avatar State, then he or she will lose the power to reincarnate as the next Avatar, following the alignment of the four elements.

Waterbending: Waterbending is a hydrokinetic ability to control water, steam and ice, and to heal physical wounds and spiritual wounds, which have to deal with energies and pressure points. Waterbenders are taught the slow and elegant art of Waterbending through the use of manipulating flowing water. Waterbending is a defensive martial art that focuses on control through turning an opponent's strength against him/her, rather than directly harming the opponent. A body of water or steam must also be present in order to Waterbend. Evasive and defensive maneuvers are the primary aspects of Waterbending.

Earthbending: Earthbending is the geokinetic ability to control the earth, dirt, and dust. Earthbenders use the earth to create strong defences as well as to deal powerful strikes through indirect attacks. The martial art of Earthbending features heavily rooted stances and strong kicks and punches to employ the mass and power of the earth. Earthbenders are also subject to using the movements of animals to perform certain techniques. These include the tiger, which is utilised when initiating hard blows, and the crane, which is used to land gently back on the Earth. Unlike other Bending elements, Earthbending maintains a strong balance between offensive and defensive capabilities.

Firebending: Firebending is the pyrokinetic ability to create and control fire. An exclusive number of Firebenders also express the ability to generate and manipulate lightning as a secondary outlet for heat. Firebending is a martial art that features quick, successive, and ferocious attacks that evoke the wild nature of fire. Unlike other Bending elements, Firebending has minimum defensive and evasive maneuvers but rather relies on swift and powerful strikes to overcome an opponent.

Airbending: Airbending is an aerokinetic ability to control and create currents of air. Airbenders have become adapted in the martial art of Airbending through using their bodily energy to harness and control the flow and nature of the wind. Airbending focuses primarily on swift and evasive techniques that promote constant circular movements to deflect direct and ranged attacks. Maneuvers employ the entire body with smooth coiling and uncoiling movements utilizing dynamic footwork, open-hand techniques, and throws. Unlike other Bending elements, Airbending lacks fatal finishing moves but harbors great defensive and evasive capabilities.

Woodbending: Woodbending is a subsidiary form of Waterbending, which focuses on the deconstruction and compression of organisms. Following similar traits to Waterbending, Woodbending is an evasive martial art that imposes self-defence over power. Woodbenders are capable of controlling the life and movement of plants and plant-life. Woodbending focuses on the manipulation and growth of plants, which allow Woodbenders to produce medicines, provisions, and even weapons when needed.

Metalbending: Metalbending is a subsidiary form of Earthbending, but at a much smaller scale. Metalbenders are trained to harness the strength and energy of minerals in the ground, rocks, and other materials that derive from the Earth. Metalbending is especially prominent in the construction of buildings, tools, and other man-made structures that often involve metal and steel. The martial art of Metalbending further develops the offensive and defensive abilities of Earthbending, through the refined compression of minerals and materials.

Boshoku: A small group of criminal Benders who have been committing crimes against the four countries. Their individual identities are unknown and their true ambitions have yet to be realised. Little is known about this powerful rogue group of Benders who have been terrorizing the countries' people and land.

Yes, you should watch Avatar some time soon. It's very hoopy. The RP on a side note, will probably require some people to have a general understanding of the story and show, since even the information I've put in might not be enough. Not sure if I should add/remove anything though.
 
Here is a roleplay I have been thinking about

The New Generation

Rated PG 14

PLOT
~~~~

A few years after the defeat of Team Rocket and Team Aqua/Magma. They have decided to delve deeper. Team Rocket, Aqua and Magma have joined forces with a few other gangs and have merged into one ultimate pokemon laundering organization. Team Omni. They are recognized with White Magma uniforms.

After the domination of pokemon Gold/Silver and Crystal Team Omni had 1 powerfull leader. Giovanni who was studying pokemon for 3 years found out something. A mysterious plant found in Ilex Forest had a strange ability. Once ingested the plant would be able to change DNA. Which once ingested any DNA that would be admisitered to the patient would hybrid with the DNA and eventualy become it. Meaning if the plant was ingested into one patient and Charmander DNA would be administered to the patient the patient would warp into a Charmander.

So Giovanni decided to administer this treatment to highly advanced trainers that would be able to use this pokemon ability. One by one Team Omni has plundered trainers and their pokemon. They have kidnapped them and sent them to the Generation Labs. These have long been abandoned and have recently been opened again. It is located underground a few miles east of Vermilian. The trainers pokemon are in holding cells to the north of the complex and the trainers are in the medical labs to the south. This is where the story starts, the medical labs recreational center.

YOUR ROLE

You play as an advanced trainer. You could be the pokemon league champion or something else. There is one catch however. You must done something so extraordinary that team Omni recognizes you. The more extraordinary the rarer the pokemon your DNA will mix with

Transformation
~~~~~~~~~
The transformation process will work like this. The trainer will ingest the plant. Then he will be injected with pokemon DNA. The rareity of the pokemon is based on how the trainer has upset Giovanni. Then they will be released. In under an hour a small transformation will begin. In exactly 24 hours a perfect Hybrid will be formed. A pokemon with the human mind and thought.

Final Notes

Team Omni has found DNA of rare creatures. Including pokemon seen in the games. Be it Ho-Oh or Lugia. They have almost all the DNA for every pokemon. However team Omni has found a flaw in the plant. Even though it will hybrid with the human the legendary potential can only be reached by much practice in using the powers of the Pokemon

Once all the characters have been inserted with DNA then in under 1 hour changes will start to take place and after 1 day you will see definate change.

There are over 40 other trainers here. Some of them are really famous and some of them are not. But you are one of them. There is a 1.1 percent chance that the DNA will not mix and the trainer will die so we will not see every rare trainer in the roleplay

That actually looks fairly good, if a bit slim compared to some of the ORP plots. Extra roughage never hurt, but I think I may join myself. One note though, it doesn't really explain some more details about the process of being alterred, and whatnot. futhermore, are we just hybrid with the species DNA in general, or hybrid with the specific pokemon DNA? Lastly, if only four people cna be legendaries, to keep a view of fairness, I assume that non legendary hybrids can be as poweeful? I'm hoping to play an old world, myself.

EDIT: I made it so that Legendary's wont be able to achive their full potential unless they have practiced with it for a very long time. If this roleplay survives that is

Long ago, an ancient tale was past down from generation to generation. It spoke of a very mysterious pokemon that up to this day has not been found by any human and it goes like this:

After years of no one finding a clue of Manaphys existence, people began to get skeptic about Manaphy and soon everyone forgot about Manaphy and moved on with their lives. But what no one ever thought about was why Manaphy was not seeable or hearable in the story. Everyone expected Manaphy to just be swimming around underwater and that someone would be lucky enough to see him but they were wrong. There is another story that talks about three legendary pokemon who are said to have come to earth, then left. It goes like this:

Long ago there were three pokemon who were rarely seen, but everyone knew that they weren't fake. They were given a name that went along with what people who saw them said. One, who had a light blue skin tone and a dark blue face was given the name: Agunomu. Another also had a light blue skin tone, but this one had a dark pink face. This one was called Emuritto. The last one too had light blue skin but its face was yellow. Its name was Yukushii. Three humans worked together with these three pokemon to help stop an evil organization from taking over the world. No one knows what this organization used to power the devise they used which helped them almost accomplish their mission, but after the world was saved, the three pokemon who helpped, disappeared from everyone and everything. Then as the three humans got home, they began to tell people the story of Manaphy. The real reason why no one has found Manaphy is because the three guardians are hiding the egg from human sight.

It has now been one hundred years, technology has become very different and many things have changed. Four new evil organizations have formed. Team Time, Team Outer, Team shadow and Team Pebble. Each teams plan is world domination but they each have different ways of achieving that goal. Team Time is planning on capturing Dialga, travailing back in time and forcing everyone to fallow them. Team Outer is planning on capturing Palkia, travailing into space and threatening to destroy the earth with meteors. Team Shadow wants to capture Daakurai, go into peoples minds and force them to fallow them. Team pebble is not a very evil team, they just want to capture Aruseusu and use its power to threaten people. But four pokemon are standing in these organizations way. These four pokemon guard Palkia, Dialga, Aruseusu and Daakurai. Hiidoran who guards Dialga, Rejigigasu who guards Palkia, Giratina who guards Daakurai and Kureseria who guards Aruseusu. But as these organizations plan, a truly evil group has formed and is also planing on world domination. Their name is Team M.O.M. which stands for "Mystery Of Manaphy". They plan on finding Manaphy and turning it into a shadow pokemon, then using its enhanced powers to power their devise that controls time, space and knowledge.

One day as a boy walks alone on the beach, an egg appears on the shore (This meaning that the three guardians trust him). He is confused because he has never seen such an egg before. It turns out that this boy actually works for Team M.O.M. He turned in the egg to his boss, Mr. Shole. Mr. Shole observed this egg and after a months worth of study, he found out that it was the Manaphy egg. The boy who found the egg then remembered something that his great grandmother spoke about. It was a story about Manaphy. "Darkness will engulf you." He thought before stealing the egg and running. Mr. Shole then sent members of the team after this boy. After running for days, the boy got tired and noticed a day care. He stopped by and told the day care lady to keep the egg and never give it to anyone and that it was a life or death situation. The woman agreed and saved the egg in a safe spot in her garden. The pokemon knew what it was and protected it with their lives, barely letting anyone coming close to it.

One of the three guardians will fallow your path as you travel on your adventure, helping you when you mostly need it. Over time you will find out about these five organizations and what they plan to do. It is your destiny to save the Manaphy egg and stop these organizations from fulfilling their plans. But before everything goes wak, a festival is soon to come in a couple of days which will have a Pokemon contest, a minny pokemon league, a breeding contest and a ranger get together.

This is a traditional Doom like zombie thriller. Like New Generation it will have many parts.

For many centuries God and Lucifer quarrled about who would be able to inhabit earth. Since God basicly controled Lucifer he could not do anything. But now he had a new way to get to earth. Lucifer has found a portal to Earth. Right in the middle of New York. But now he has sent Demons and Vampires up to Earth to inhabit it.

Now a portal to hell has opened in the middle of Central Park Newyork. Vampires and Demons have escaped from it. Zombie viruses are also infecting people around the portal. Soon the entire world will be inhabited unless something happens.

God already knows of this and has sent Angels to Earth. But God doesnt have as many Angels to control the Demons. What will happen? Will the Demons take over the world or will the Angels be able to help. Lucifer's portal has clouded the already night sky. The humans must survive for 18 days when sunrise comes again. But will they last that long.

YOUR ROLE

You are a human who is in the middle of this rampage. In the first post the portal will open and everything will take place. What will happen? Will you help destroy them or will you join their ranks?

Transformation

If you wish it you can have your character turn into a vampire or zombie. Demons are mainly things created by Lucifer so hands off.

Final Notes

Lucifer only has 1 portal. He only has so many demons and Vampires. It takes a while to create more so this could be an advantage.

Vampires and Zombies have many weaknesses. Vampires can die if they have enough bullets to the head or the heart. Zombies only have 1 weakness. The brain must be destroyed by any means.

Fragments of Alarayne | The Memory of the Goddess​

Once upon a time, there existed a giant tree that was the source of all Pokemon and nature. The tree existed in the center of a small continent in the center of the world, serving as a central point of unity between her bordering countries. A war, however, caused this tree to wither away and the land soon fell into chaos. Grieving over the loss, the goddess severed the island from the rest of the world. Stabilizing the tree, she flew up high above the earth and was heartbroken by the sight of man and pokemon no longer co-existing as equals. As she ascended into the heavens she left the Legendary Guardians with an edict : "If the time comes once more that the tree is threatened by evil men, you must wake me, lest the world be destroyed." The Legendary Guardian bore the Child of the Forest, who headed off on a journey to the tree of mankind's salvation, thus marking the beginning of the creation of a new, unified world.


It stayed this way for over two hundred years, never changing aside from the inevitable spinning of the circle of life. Then, one summer's eve, two girls arrived on the first official voyage sanctioned by the birds since the creation of the island. The mainland had changed in these few centuries. These girls, Luna and Maxie, the Poison/Psychic Duo, were going to prove it. What they didn't count on was someone showing up and they really didn't expect a full scale war to hit the island within seven months of mainstream people being allowed access to the snooty rich island but against all odds, the catastrophe occurred. A young girl sought asylum on the island, asylum from an evil few had even dreamed about and on her shoulders lay a heavy burden, more so than any twelve year old child should ever have to bear.

Her burden was revealed in the form of warships, airships from Evergrande City that carried hundreds of solders from the Global Police Task Force. They were led by one Lance Blackthorn, the leader of the special unit squadron, the Pokemon G-Men. He stormed into Luna's palace with a demand, a demand for Alarayne's of the asylum for one young girl or face imminent invasion and deportation. Luna, having befriended the young girl in question, refused, insisting on their departure of Lance and his squadron immediately. His claims of the girl's involvement with evil syndicates and an underlying plan to destroy the holy tree were, in her mind, ridiculous. How could such a sweet child ever dream of doing such retched things? She would be proven wrong by an incident not two months later.

The girl had been living in an abandoned military base hidden snuggly under a waterfall when she received word via carrier Pidgeot from her currently acting parental unit, proclaiming that the time for her 'mission' had come at last and failure to complete her mission would result in instantaneous termination. Unable to refuse, the girl was forced to comply and with a sad, heavy heart, ventured into the ruins, past what was allowed for most people, and headed straight for the first of five seals that would unlock the pillars of light surrounding the entrance to the holy grounds. She was met with opposition by Luna after releasing the seal and after a short ordeal, was victorious as far as fighting was concerned. As she slipped into the fog of the night, she was left with a chilling haunting threat. In a last ditch attempt to salvage the girl's sanity, Luna threatened the girl with the news of the Global Police Task Force's arrival in the area and proclaimed that she would cooperate with the task force if she continued to release the seals. The girl simply turned and after a long hard look of pure emptiness, slipped back into the night.

But not even the girl could have saved the island from its eventuall demise. Wrought with despair over the thought of the girl supposedly destroying the already declining tree, Luna felt her sanity slowly slipping out of her grasp. Unable to cope with the idea of losing her island to a former friend, she created a chain reaction of earthquakes to occur several miles off shore and cleverly, caused them to erupt at the same precise moment the girl released the fourth of five seals. Panic quickly ensued the island as it was not too hard to predict the massive tsunami that was now heading their way. As Luna settled into her beach resort to await her death, a power manifested inside the girl that the world had never seen in two hundred years.

In one single blast, the girl summoned the goddess from her resting place and together, the both of them moved the sacred tree and the people of the island to the Ore Region just seconds before they all would have perished beneath the waves. Collapsing in a heap after the exhaustive seven hour move was completed, the girl fell into a coma for five months, awaking in a Team Rocket Lab in Viridian City with little to no memory of what had happened beyond her physical connection with the goddess. It was not until four months later that it was published, in a newspaper, that a high ranking member of Team Rocket had caused the destruction of Alarayne and she was wanted, alive, by the Global Police Task Force, at a reward sum of twenty five million P. The girl, however, was not bothered by the somewhat ridiculous amount of money on her head. In a dream a few nights prior to the news report, she had been visited by the goddess.

The tree was now lost within the boundaries of the Johto Region. Pleading with the girl, pleading with the Child of the Forest, she begged for aide in finding and releasing the five seals of this area so that the tree might grow and prosper or the world would once again fall into the chaos it had once been enveloped in. Requesting aide from her adoptive father, leader of the evil organization Team Rocket (Giovanni for short) she was given a team, Team Drache to be precise, of new and old recruits, a team that would aide her in the search and release of the seals. However, a rumor soon flew through the halls of the Team Rocket base that two in her unit were spies, sent in by the G-Men to bring the girl to a kind of justice.

The girl in question? Her name was and still remains Mysterica (Mika) Ninian Blackthorn, Daughter of Claire Blackthorn and Lance Blackthorn, the leader of the very group trying to have her locked away for life for a crime she very well might not have committed.

Descriptions​

A New TR Executive

You are accomplished in the Team Rocket Lifestyle in some mannor, (However, you are NOT an Elite Four Winner. A collection of Gym badges, winning small tournaments and/or Pokemon Contest Wins are examples of your accomplishments or possibly snagging a really rare high level pokemon in the wild or from another trainer), and jumped at the chance for a chance at the big leagues. You're well known around everywhere and some of you might have a price on your head. Most of the executives are children of previous executives as the fact that being a second generation trainer makes the process go along much quicker for seemingly unknown reasons. Most of the executives who worked their way up from the grunt life have a sense of distaste and distrust of the Second Gen Executives because, in their mind, they haven't earned it.

A Lab Offspring

Expiramented on, you have been transformed from human, to super human. Mimicing the powers of the Viridian Bloodline, you are able to communicate with Pokemon through telepathic communications and your reaction, be it in battles or scenariors, is twice that of a human. However, if you chose to be one of these people, please note your character needs to be unstable. You have little to no memory of life outside the lab, nothing outside of rituals and schedules etc.

I will be EXTREMELY picky on these character sheets. I do. Not. Tolerate. Powerplaying and/or Godmoding. The reason Mika is of the bloodline is to prove she has a weakness. If you think you're going to control pokemon and what not, think again.

G-Men Spy

A spy for the government, you came into the TR program as an accomplished trainer but your true objective is to lead the G-Men to the TR base, to take and arrest your leader (Mika) and turn her over without being caught

Being found guilty of espionage against the company however would result in Team Rocket Style imprisonment… if not worse… (I don't kill characters tho. Against TOS. -nodnod-)


Rules​
(Taken from Alter Ego's AD Roleplay with a few corrections WITH premission)
1. Follow all standard RP section rules (Self-explanatory).

2. Just to stress this; no powerplaying, godmodding, bunnying, or character control of any kind! If I see someone's character doing as much as raising an eyebrow without the creator's consent (Please note the word consent) then the person responsible will be warned, once, and if the violation is repeated then that person will be kicked out of the RP.

3. Bunnying. If you're going to be gone and your friend is in the rp and can play them IC, then ask YOUR FRIEND to take over said character. I don't want to bunny anybody unless I absolutely have to.

4. No posting beneath four lines. I'm serious about this one, if you can't manage four lines of coherent english then please don't sign up, I'm looking for people who can RP in proper detail, because short, flat, and emotionless posts just ruin the mood of an RP and have the tendency to infuriate me.

Yes it /has/ four lines, but it looks like something my sister wrote in third grade when she was learning how to type paragraphs. If this is all you can type (Chat speak, which is u = you r = are etc, is included in this) go find a different rp. You will be rejected without remorse.

5. Mind your spelling. If you have trouble spelling, don't just blame it on English not being your first language (It isn't Alter Ego's and his English is better than mine (and I am native speaker person) nor does he ever complain about it being difficult) but I will accept the minor mistake here and there. I misspell a lot and if you can tolerate me, I can tolerate you. ;3

6. If I tell you to edit a post, you will edit it or I will consider that post as a not-there post. =3 And I will ignore it. I don't do it a lot, I like it when people add to my plotline, just not excessively.

7. Read the rules and read the plot. Clash with me and I stab you. With this spork. That doesn't like you.

Holy cow. Mika, thats excellent. It's good to see that there are still members out there capable of taking their time to create a well organized plot and layout. I can really see no obvious flaws with it, and you even have me thinking of joining my first Pokemon RP in at least five months!

Was that really necessary? If anyones RPs are "moderately good", they are yours. You could learn a lot from Mika's RP content wise, whether you want to admit it or not.

Anyways, just a random tidbit I'll add... since you have a very sexy Zelos on your banner... the little werid texty intoduction is based very losely off the opening to Tales of Symphonia. ^^;; I love the Tales games...

Anyways, if you do find any flaws (Minuet or big) please do let me know. I'm a horrible perfectionist.
