The Dragon's Den V.4

Guys, lets make Milotic a Dragon. It really should be. Tyranitar should be a Dragon too.

1)Tyranitar is already a Dragon so you were a little bit too late.

2) Milotic is considered the feminine version of Gyarados, so maybe that would work. You even added all the reasons I think it would be a good ideaso I'll support it.

I hope it doesn't ends like the ***** discussion (I'm censoring the name of the Pokémon because I brought too much controversy and discussion after mentioning it). I think tkallab knows what I'm talking about.

Cool banners, Mew~!

I think I'll use the Zekrom / Reshiram ones, as they're awesome and would go with my theme xD

So, yeah, I've asked Doonerz to keep his arguments somewhere and write down you supporters' names, for future reference, as I tend to miss a lot of things in this thread.

I don't think Lugia caused controversy, just a really fun discussion. That very discussion caused me to become fairly active in this group.

But I think people are gonna need more arguments for Milotic, because all your arguments also count for Arbok. He's also got a serpentine body, learns Dragon Tail via TM, and he's in the Dragon egg group too. He also has some connections to the basilisk, which is sometimes considered a dragon. In generation I, Arbok was the only Pokémon to learn Glare, a move that paralyzes by staring, an ability the basilisk originally had. Of course, everybody who knows Harry Potter will be biased towards the basilisk being a snake, but the basilisk is also portrayed as a wyvern with the head and legs of a rooster.

I'm definitely not saying I want Arbok in this group, I'm just saying that Milotic is gonna need more arguments. Because if Doonerz' amount of arguments suffices, we would be able to get any reptile Pokémon into this group.

I sopport Milotic, after all, I've tried to add Milotic before!
@Mew~ I like the userbars, but why make userbars with Pokemon that aren't even in the Den yet?!?!? :/
As for making the lists, I think that Pokemon moves shouldn't be arguments at all! I've explained why before!

I think moves can be added as arguments, but the voting people can decide for themselves whether they care about the moves or not.

WRONG! If that's so, then why not add Lucario as a dragon, he learns Dragon Pulse by lvl. up!
And tkallab and Draggy start again! People, take notes!
PS: I don't want to add lucario, that's a sarcasm!

If I weren't against the use of leet speech, I'd be dropping a cluster lol bomb in reaction to your Lucario argument.
Well okay, you can't use the move argument as the sole reason why you want a Pokémon in this group, but it can be used as an extra argument, which may be needed to push someone that tiny bit further to vote yes. Though I have to admit a lot of legendaries and reptile Pokémon can learn Dragon moves in some way, when you're doubting what to vote for, and you see 'Milotic can learn Dragon Breath', that may be what makes you make up your mind.
But, as I said, you can decide for yourself whether you find moves important and whether it adds to your final decision.

Ok, then let's add Pidgey's line (it can learn Twister by lvl. up!) and Mantine and Wingull (they learn it by breeding!); let's not forget Growlithe, Arcanine, Lapras, Ho-oh(they learn Dragonbreath by TM), or Onix and Steelix(they learn it by lvl.up!), nor Treeko and Feebas(cause they learn it by breeding); and what about Kangaskhan and Granbull, they learn Outrage by lvl.up! Need any more moves to add?

...As I was saying, you can use the moves as an extra argument. Like first you have your whole rant about the fact that your Dragon´s Den candidate has a dragon´s physique and he´s based on whatever mythical creature...
And then, at the end, you say "By the way, he learns this and this move". It´s an extra, like a deleted scene in a movie or an extra cookie in your pack of Bastognes.

This isn't really fare, as practically the only arguments Tyranitar has are Dragon moves...
Moves aren't assigned cause of the type, or the breeding group, but cause of Pokemon's nature(Tyranitar is a raging Pokemon that often uses Trash to destroy it's sorounding, thus it has an outrage move,...)!

Well apparently the raging part is based on the Tarasque or something.

I´m having severe problems with Tyranitars list. He doesn´t look like a dragon, but he doesn´t bear a resemblance to a dinosaur either... It seems Tyranitar is a unique Pokémon. Apart from Godzilla, I have no idea what he is...

About Arbok.....it doesn't learn as many dragon moves.....

Sceptile's a grass-type.......we have yet to have a grass dragon, and it has few similarities to other dragons (Milotic would get nowhere without Gyarados).

Tyranitar's a dragon in my opinion, as he's a dinosaur-ish pokémon, and aren't dragons meant to be left-over dinosaurs with superpowers? (Don't go all angry, but that's a general stereotype of dragons).

Still, like I said, you can get an argument for/against a pokemon, and just write it up, then pm/vm it to me, and when we start, I'll put it up for people to see, alongside the opposing argument (i.e. for Milotic and against Milotic).

Good luck with your list, Tkallab!

And I know dragon moves can't really be counted (lol, Mew's now a dragon, right? I think it may even be able to learn Draco Meteor....), as pokémon like Arcanine and Kangaskhan learn them by tm and level-up, but still, if it doesn't get any, it can't be a dragon....

What do you mean it doesn't bear resemblance to dinosaurs?!
Spoiler:

Enough resemblance for ya?

Okay, so I want to have this clear. Not every Pokémon with a dragon move is a dragon, but a Pokémon needs at least one dragon move to be a dragon?

And who said anyting about Sceptile? Draggy mentioned Treecko once, but just to make his point.

Ninja´d. Draggy, if you would, can you please name some of the resemblances?

If YOU can't, than you need to get your eyes checked!

Big hind legs on which it stands on, small forelegs, big head with huge jaws, long and fat tail that balances it while it's standing or moving, sharp teeth and claws,...

Basically anyone who looks at the pictures will see the resemblances!

Okay, now name some traits that Tyranitar shares with dinosaurs but not with dragons.
Also, Tyranitar's arms are a lot bigger than a Tyrannosaur's, relatively. The tyrannosaur's head is bigger than Tyranitar's, and shaped differently.

And all the traits you described can also be applied to the Pokémon in your very signature.

As for why Tyranitar isn't a T-Rex:
He is standing up straight while the T-Rex kind of leans forward, being kept in balance by its tail.
His arms are thicker than the T-Rex's, and they have three short claws instead of two long ones.
All the T-Rex's teeth (a lot) can be seen when its mouth is even slightly open, while only four teeth of Tyranitar can be seen, even when his mouth is wide open.
Tyranitar's legs are actually pretty small compared to the T-Rex's.

To be continued...

Oh man i missed a lot i think, because of the move to canada, we are now in different time zone.
anyway, what's with this Tyranitar disussion i think he's a dinosaur, not a dragon, technically he's a rock dinosaur with a hint of darkness and a lot of power, he can move/cripple mountains, that sound like a dragon to you?
i dunno, i'd just leave his classification as D-I-N-O-S-A-U-R.

Yeah, and like I asked draggy, what does he have in common with dinosaurs that other dragon Pokémon don't?

What do you mean it doesn't bear resemblance to dinosaurs?!
Spoiler:

Enough resemblance for ya?

Actually, now that you compare them, Tyranitar looks less like a dinosaur than I previously thought. (Rock-covered Lickitung FTW!)
