The First Route Challenge

Hmmm, Good challenge to me. I will start later.

Also, we can catch any pokemon we find until the first gym then?

For your purpose, in Crystal, you can catch any Pokemon from Route 29 (i.e. the ones listed), prior to the first gym. After the first gym, any Pokemon you catch will only be allowed as HM slaves. In other words, if you want to experiment with teams from the first route before the first gym, you can. Just remember, they can only be Pokemon caught at Route 29.

Alright, now for another update. After the Snowpoint Gym, I did the Lake Acuity thing, then went to Veilstone for the Galactic HQ quest. I did the quest in the building and all that. Then, after healing, I went to Mt. Coronet to do the Distortion World quest. I went through the whole puzzle thing, beat Cyrus, and beat Giratina (no need to catch for this challenge). I then healed, and then saw/beat the Lake Guardians to get the sight data in my Pokedex. Then I went on the route to Sunyshore City and then beat the Sunyshore Gym. I was at a bit of a disadvantage, with both my members weak to Electric, but I won.

Lol, I just remembered that I completed this challenge on Platinum already. I did a Normal Monotype with Staraptor and Bibarel. Oh well, I'm still doing it on Blue.

OK, so my emulator has a save issue, apparently to where a normal save isn't working properly. :/ But, I managed to get where I defeated Cynthia thanks to save states. So, I've completed the Platinum challenge, finishing with my Bibarel and Staraptor at Lv67-68.
