The future of PokéCommunity?

I personally don't think that it will do as good as it used to, due to the fact that they beridded clans.
 
I can see an influx of new members signing up once Platinum gets released in other parts of the world, the same as happened with Diamond and Pearl (I was one of that group. =[ ).

Clans were groups that people joined for battling and/or breeding projects and had "wars", or competitions with other clans. But Apostle and I felt that not much battling was getting done, and thus clan threads were just becoming spam pits full of random discussion. You can't say that the forum will decline just because clans were removed, there are MANY other areas people can visit. I want what is best for D/P/P, and removing clans was best for the forum. Alot of people disagreed, but we were only doing our jobs.

D/P/P can get a bit of a mess at times, and no doubt that will increase during the aftermath of the US and Europe/Australia release of Platinum. But CME will get a good test of her moderator abilities, which can only be good for her.
 
Clans were lame..people should clearly just stick to the standard battling. Clans went nowhere and us hardcore wifi battlers appreciate their destruction, Deano =]. I'm sure CME will do a great job there as the new mod. Now on with the awesome collection of tournaments :P
 
What will the future of PC hold? Who knows. I mean it's lasted so long (October will be 6 years), changed so much, had so many hardships, and had so many points where some of us said "I don't see how PC will be up much longer". Some of us old old members like Jake, Erica, and myself can look back over the many years and I think if you ask them (or any other very old member) "Did you think PC would grow into a forum where it has over 80,000 members and over 4,000,000 posts?" I think they'd say "No, I didn't". I mean I'm surprised, really surprised by PC. When I joined we didn't even have 1,000 members and now look. It's grown into something really really big. So who knows what the future will hold, PC might grow into a forum with 20 Admins, 50 Mods, and a million members. I think as long as Pokemon is alive PC will be active, and as long as Steve (or someone) pays for the server and upkeep of PC then it'll be here.

One thing is for sure... nothing lasts forever, PC will be no different.
 
I have been watching our member total rise to 80,000+ and beyond to 82,000 in just a week or two. It's quite ridiculous how many members join every day, and from many different places around the world.

Honestly, as long as people still like pokemon, people will continue coming to PC. I hope we have many more years of activity, because I never want to see the day where a place this awesome has to shut down. But I think that's in the distant future. Right now, let's just enjoy our awesome community and not worry about such horrible times...

Hahahaha, I wish. XD I've been wishing I was a mod on SPPf/PokeC forEVER. lol. Only that probably decreased my chances xP

Geez, that IS depressing. I hope not, this forum is a lot faster than SPPf and sometimes more fun xP
 
Future for PC? I think there will be more Mods like me to be one! Just kidding XD The community will still keep going after Pokemon is no longer popular, and it would still be a popular forum for people to join. More members will turn into Mods/PC Supporters/Admins.

That's my thought for the future.
 
Extreme infaltions will happen over the globe and then PC will become much more expensive. Then the staff will make a fee to join and soon enough a fee to post, then when they have enough money they'll close the forums and laugh at everyone.

Or the world will end.
 
PC will die a fast and non-painful death and never come back! :D

I couldnt really tell you PC's future. It's really hard to say. To be honest, I think PC is always going to pull through its hardest challenges. It always has, right?

I mean, most people joined for Pokémon and found people here based on that common interest, but then expanded to find people with other common interests as well, which happened outside of the basic Pokémon-related forums. Not to mention the bazillion people battling and trading in the DP forum. XD

But maybe that's what will keep PC going for the next who knows how many years - the fact that people don't need to come here to discuss Pokemon, but anything they like.
 
...I think when Pokémon dies out, we'll end up being "Community," because people come here for the off-topic jibber-jabber anyway. XD;

But honestly, I don't know. I'm enjoying PC for now, although how do we really know the future of PC?
 
This is just a great forum. You guys have great MMO talent. Make one!
 
I can see PC surviving for a few years after Pokemon itself dies out. Like Sarkya said, many of us come here simply to talk to friends. The only way I see a quick death for PC is if they stop paying for the server.
 
I predict it will get bigger and bigger like every other forum in existence, then when the Pokemon series dies, PC will go with it. Just like every other forum. :o
 
The Hacks Showcase will be flooded with noobish DPPt hacks.

But in the grand scheme of things I think PC will continue to grow for a while yet, maybe it'll end up merging with some other Pokemon forums?
 
In the future of PC? The webbies section will be even more derelict, along with other writing, ROM Hacking will be even higher profile, the members will get even noobier, and I'll still be here, posting once every week or so on average, as usual. XD
 
What will be the future of PC? Hm, well since I just came on here just this morning but posted just a few hours or so, I think that the moderator requirement for the Pokemon Roleplay is unmanagable and there should be more moderators depending on how much the user posts.
