@ Xeno: That is a sweet vector wallpaper. Ive got to try making one for my bathing ape vector I posted earlier. Ill post my out come when I have made it.

@Capitano - Nice sig. ;D

Anyways, the tag. The depth and flow is there, but the light needs a little work. Instead of using a fading gradient, try using a 100-200 px soft brush. And instead of white, use a light yellow (fcffe1 is good) since no light is pure white. And also, the stock blends in too much with the background. I'd take a 45-65 px soft brush and blur the renders to the right (blur strength: 13% will do). That will make the stock pop out a bit more and give you some more depth as well.

@Myokai - That be smudging down at the bottom. :\ The banner.. the thick border does it no justice, and it hasn't in the past, so I suggest you stop using them. Fai's hair looks really pixely on the left. That blue streak is irking me.

@Olum - Extremely monotone. Gradient maaaaaap! The stock also has no blending at all, it honestly looks like you just slapped it on the top layer. This tag would look better textless.

I can see that all you did was just take the image, added some kind of brush in the background, and blurred the border. Like I said before, you should play around with the image a little more. But keep it up! =D

Olumuyiwa: It's not bad. I can see you made the background yourself though. ^^
This is the first step of becoming a graphics designer! You're doing very good so far! Now all you got to do is just add some more brushes, effects, and text effects!

CME;; Aaaah, that banner looks so pretty x3 I love all the glowy orb goodness. The smudging at the bottom of the sig looks really great, and helps to blend the person into the background. The banner has beautiful colours, as well. Oh, and it took me ages that there were flowery stuff extending from her hair. Very nice. Well, it's very different from most of the banners I see here. Which is a good thing, I guess xD

mizt;; Try not to lower the opacity of the render as much. And the placement of the render and text are kind of meh-ish... More effects would be nice, as well, since it's looking a bit plain right now. And I simply don't like the colour of the text and the swirly lines/sparkly stuff. Overall, it's not too bad, but it definitely needs some more work.

@evilcheese: wow it looks good, for some reason i feel like its at the end of the world, because the sun is halfway down in the middle of the ocean :P the sky is cool, an di like the outer glow of the sun nice job! :p 9/10

Well here is my most recent banner, this is the FIRST EVER BANNER I USED TEXTURES WITH OMG!, yet again gimp is my one and only love <3~ (lol) i made two versions of it, personally i like the second one the best,

@ Demidian: Verry NICE! I could never do that with GIMP! I think I only have to comment on the effects. I think you should add more effects, maybe a c4d, or clippingmask.

EDIT: when i used c4ds id didn't make a difference pretty much because of all the layers on top of it, so i will use more effects in my next banner :D

Demidian;; Wow, that's pretty good ^^ The second one is better, in my opinion, since the colours aren't as harsh to the eyes as the first one. The effects are okay, but I guess a little bit more wouldn't hurt. And you need to control the background a bit more, so it doesn't look as cluttered/messy. Image placement is a bit strange... Saber looks a bit awkward on the corner of the banner there. I think you can fill up the rest of the background with a clipping mask, or maybe better text. Basically, try making a better use of the space in a banner. But still, that one is good compared to your others.

El_Capitano;; Flow and depth are nice, but the effects are sort of distracting, especially the C4D to Midna's right (our left). And I don't like how it fades into white in the corner. Maybe make the background black, and add a 100px soft brush of white or something in the corner. I like how it looks as if Midna is reaching out for the light, but it seems like there's a bit too much light. Although, I do like the grungy feel of the banner. And the colours are definitely nice (I like the hints of red and yellow in the background)

RATING YOUR BANNER: i is pretty good, but its just one of those banners i don't like, but ill try to think otherwise so 8.5/10

I made v1 awhile ago and posted it on page 5, and i wasn't satisfied... edited it, but i'm not sure if i went of the top :S
I'm not gonna use it anyway, so i'll put it in the Graphics give away thread.

It's great, the light source really brings your eyes onto the focal.

Try experimenting with different text, but on the whole they look good.
