Sorry about not rating any ones banners to make up for it i'll start far back with Shiranui's.

Shiranui: I love your vectored version of the banner you created, it's amazing, I wish I could do something that good.

Motsuko Live: I really like the way you have done your banner, especially since it's your fifth one. But I agree with Akari, you could blend the render into the background, but overall it's great.

Gummy: The thing I don't like about this banner is the blue scanlines over the image, they stand out too much. Also the white lines around the render stick out quite alot.

Akari: There's simply no critisism I can give you, your banner is perfect. The one thing I love about it is the C4D's as they flow really well with the render.

Gummy: This is a big improvement from your other banner. I really like this one as the render goes well with the background, and the placement of the text is amazing. But again the render could blend with the background.

Loki: I love this banner, the thing I like about your banners are that they all have different techniques whcih are each made in your own unique way. I also love the little checkered bit at the bottom right, I don't seem to know why though. And no matter how may times I see this banner I never get sick of it.

Gummy:
I can see that you have improved. From my point of view you just need to work on the placing of the renders.

My Objection Banner

Thanks & Sorry
Pikachu Trainer~

@PT: If I remember correctly, you're not allowed to post a banner twice in one page. But I'll rate it anyways. It's good, but I just don't like the background with the reneder. -gave opinion- The OBLJECTION! text is quite nice and I like the Drop Shadow, but mabye lower the opacity. Is taking focus of render D< -SHOT'd- Its a good banner, overall, but some tints could make it banner.

@ Animadversion: You beat me D: Oh well. Now I have to rate yours. -is sad- -SHOT'd- I cannot see differences in 2 and 3, but I see the difference bettween 1 and 2 and 3. (bottom of banner) I love the text to bits, number 1 <33 Also, the image goes great with the background. Good choice of border and color. I think number 3 is too plain, and the bottom of number 1 isn't really nessecarry. So, I really think Number 2 is the best. Colorwise, its number 1. And number 3, its just.. plain. Good but plain.

-is tired and bored now-

Animadversion: I absolutely LOVE those banners, but I like the second one the most. And I MUST find that font you used.

Kai:
If you want to know which I like better, it's the one to the right (second one). The text is pretty hard to read in the first one and, unless my eyes are playing tricks, you went a little crazy with the sharpen tool. But I really like that outline thing you did with the second image.

I have new new (sort of) banner but if you feel the need to only rate one, please rate the second.

Wanted to see if some edits would make it look better.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

Newest banner. Riku from Kingdom Hearts.

Animadversion: Holy smokes, that looks awesome~ Stop improving so quickly D: Version 2 is probably the best, since version 3 looks way too empty, and though I like the variance of colour in the bottom bar in version 1, it looks kind of odd. Or maybe the purple bar thing is too thick, so it almost cuts it off from the rest of the banner a bit too much, if you get what I mean. Anyway, the lighting seems good and the text fits in quite nicely. I like the font xP The clipping masks to the left are cool, though they're quite distracting in a way. I'm having sort of mixed feelings about the little spatters, and I don't know whether I should like them or not o___o They stop the banner from looking too empty, but maybe the edges feel a bit too sharp in comparison to the render. Or something like that.

Kai.: The second one looks better, I think, since the colours look nicer (as in brighter, and the other one looks too unsaturated), and there's this weird saturation thingy around the character's shoulders in the first one. I like the cloud background with the first one, but it doesn't seem to go with the render. The scrap book-type effect in the second one looks simple, but it seems to match the render a bit more.

Gummy: The white blurry stuff adds flow, which is good. However, it makes the colours wispier and wishy washy, rather than the stronger colours from before. And it still looks empty, sort of. So in some ways, it does look better, but colour-wise, not really :\ Oh, and you added a border! xD

As for the second one, the render quality sucks o____o Yeah, I pretty much had to say that. It looks far too blurry. The text has too large of a gap between the lines, so maybe stick them closer together. The effects look okay, but it looks a bit bland, in my opinion. Especially the colours. The horizontal streak at the top looks out of place. I don't know what to suggest, because I don't know what would look good with that render. Yeah, sorry if I didn't help much D:

I have some icons you can rate (some as in one >.>):

@ AnimadVersion:

OMGIFREAKINLOVEIT!!1!!!seven(?)!1 I'm really starting to dig this "vector/urban" style of graphics from you. They're some of the best I've seen. As for the best out of the three, I'd have to say the second one. The first one is good, just the (inverted?) colors kind of turned me off. The third one is awesome, too, but I chose the second one as the best because it seems more full. Overall, I'd give this banner a 9.8/10 (Yes, that is extremely good) :3

@ Kai:

I don't really like the first one that much. I'd love to give you advice, but I honestly have no clue why I don't like it. I think it might just be because of the clouds in the background. Not that there's anything wrong with them, it just reminds me of an actual scene (from a show or something) and when I think of banners/avatars, I think of more abstract things. Anyways, as for the second one, I think this is much better. Like Gummy said, I really like that outline thing you did in the second image. It adds so much emphasis, for some reason. I also really like the black stitch-type-thing you did on the left side. For the first image, I'd give it 4/10. The second one I'd give 8.5/10.

@ Gummy:

I like the first banner. It seems a bit plain, but I still like it. Sometimes, it's better to be plain than insanely abstract. Maybe try putting your render over the brush strokes, etc. I don't know, just a suggestion. =]

As for the second one, I don't like this at all. The render just doesn't blend in well with the background, and the text is a bit hard to read in some places. Try giving the text stroke and/or outer glow, and sharpening the render a bit. Overall, I'd give the first one an 8.4/10, and the second one a (I'm really sorry =[) 2/10. But keep trying, we all have bad days :3

@ Shiranui:

The banner
is amazing. I like how it looks like there's smoke in the background. And the lighting effects are pretty good, too. The only problem I'd have with it is the text placement. I'd maybe put it more to the right, or if that didn't work, maybe in the top left corner? Also, there's this little patch of (white fog?) in the left-hand side that seems a little bit out of place; it kind of seems like it shouldn't be overlapping the render. But other than that, this banner is freakin' sweet! I'd give it a 9.2/10.

Now, for the icon. Didn't like this so much. The renders look a little too cartoonish for my taste. Although, this could just be from resizing them? (I know this happens alot when you resize an image). Maybe you could use the sharpen tool. I like the faded image in the background, too. Overall, I'd give it a 5/10. Don't get me wrong, though! It's not bad, it's just not my style. I'm sure another person would fall in love with this icon, though. =]

Ok, friends! Time for banner No. 6. Yes, I used a grunge technique (again).

I'm thinking of changing the border around, and I'm still trying to think of what text I should use. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the rating, and about the render for the second banner, it's actually pretty good. But I ended up resizing it a million times so I guess that destroyed the quality. And I made that banner for someone too XD. But it's the thought that counts, right?

Motsuko Live: You don't seem to have a problem with making your render fit your background. However, like me, there are spots that are just empty except from the grunge brushes (mainly right of the render). And I can't tell if that's smudging or scanlines over the face but it looks nice. I don't know what text you could put but about the border, I really like it. It looks "portrait like," if you know what I mean.

Made this in the wee-hours of the night, so excuse me if it's done sloppily.

Not bad Gummy! Definitely an improvement from your last one. You might want to blend the render into the background a bit more, and the text is still a little bit hard to read, but other than that it's looking really good! Like I've said before, try putting an outer glow on the text, or even a stroke. Especially if it's dark text against a dark background. It can really help. I would rate this banner a 8.5/10. The black stars are really neat =] I like the render, by the way. Who is it?

This is my first attempt at a vector-type signature. Did I do it right?

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

Motsuko Live: I like the banner overall, the brushes, backround and text goes well together, infact, it fits in perfectly. I really have no idea what else you could of done with it. But the top right corner and side looks just a tad empty. Though it doesn't really make a difference.

A banner I plan on using for SOTW.

@CheesePeow: For the first one, the blending is nice, but it feels kind of bland. And the second one has excellent blending as well, but I don't know... the colours don't seem to flow well together because they're just randomly everywhere. They're both good overall though.

And I was bored, so I made two bad banners =D. Well, not bad, I suppose just bland. And they lack any sort of blending really, so. XD Oh well, it's neat to try stuff out.

CheesePeow; The first one is cool, I really like the blending, but maybe it would look better if the render was less saturated because it has so much colour compared to the background. And I really like the second one, but the red and blueish bit on the left doesn't seem to fit right.

Animadversion;
Wow, the first one is awesome. :D The simplicity of it is good. And as for the second one, yay for Lelouch! 8D But I don't really like how he's really dark. ^^;; But it does give a good effect to it.

School's out, and I've been making banners like crazy. D;

Featuring C.C from Code Geass. Apparently, green banners are hard to make. How'd I do? XD;

New suckly banner, but first:

Animadversion: The first banner is pretty cool, but the scanline-over-the-face is not very good. I know, I used to make all my banners with scan lines, they made my banner sucks the most.

The Code Geass banner is I think, fairly well done. I didn't notice the light focus until much sooner. I think light focus over the image is I think better. But I stink at banner rating, so whatever.

Akari: the Code Geass banner rock, but it doesn't blend well, I mean, the backround was great, it gives of a green space-y look, which is good... but, the hair kinda doesn't blend, which is -0.5 bad. okay, I don't know what I'm talking about so I'll just move on.

the Gintama banner, looks cool. The vector-y backround really suits. I just wish I was as good as you, but I think, well, even though the text is visible, the image and the backround attracts too much attention. I didn't even noticed it, I think. Or I'm just blind.

The last banner rule. Though, there's a huge space on the right. I suggest a smaller banner size, or the image in the middle, or so. Don't take it from me. I suck at criticism. (AND compliments.)

---

New banner, ofcourse it suck, so I'm gonna make a poor soul um, use it. -evil laugh-

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

Rei Yuki, it doensn't suck. Actually it's very nice ^^The color scheme is nice and pleasing for the eyes. Just a couple of notes..
You should try to avoid stroking your text. It makes it stand out too much. The focus in your banner should be the background and your render.
That red vector on left doesn't look good, but that's just me. Maybe you should try blurring it a bit?

----

I just made this today for the SOTW. This is my first grunge signature so any advice would be appreciated =) Thanks.

Bass, another character from the Megaman games. And thanks for rating.

Rei Yuki:
Although it is a bit plain, I don't think it's sucky at all. As DarkChild said before me, the colors are nice and the text sticks out too much.

DarkChild:
For your first grunge sig, it's pretty good. The brushing is really good, as well as the lighting. and I love the text. Good luck in SOTW.

Now my first entry for SOTW:

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

@ Rei Yuki: That banner certianly does not suck! I really like it. The color blends really well, and the lighting is amazing. The only thing I would give advice on is the text. Like DarkChild said, maybe you should take the stroke away. But other than that's it's very good. I'd say 8/10.

@ DarkChild: Not bad for your first grunge-type. I like the render, but I don't like the lighting behind it. It kinda takes away from the grungy-feel. But the brush strokes are good, and the text placement is fabulous. I'd rate this banner 7/10. (which is really good for your first grunge).

@ Gummy: I think this is one of your best ones yet. (that I've seen.) It blends in well. Really well. The only issue is that the "SOTW" blends in a little too well. :) It's hard to see. Anyways, I'd rate it a 7.2/10? Maybe 7.5, even.

I made this for SOTW (Good luck DarkChild & Gummy=] May the best banner win). I highly doubt I'll win though...And I'm not just saying that to be modest; It's only my 8th banner, and my 1st SOTW, so I don't think I'll do very well at all. But that's alright. It's worth a try! Do you think the "SOTW" text is noticeable enough?

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

@Motsuko: It's nice. I luff the colours and the background~ Not much wrong with it from what I can see.

Anyways, I made this with the possibility of using it in SotW, but I want to make sure I've ironed out the kinks first (which is why neither of the versions say SotW yet). It also has more Anya, so I'm content whether you like it or not. XD

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

Also, for anyone who cares, I might start taking requests with my next showcase update. XD

Animadversion; That's a awesome render. o.o And the whole banner attracts alot of attention, well to me it does. XD And the colours are really good. 8D But I dunno, maybe the render needs more blending, but it does look good the way it is.

---

Another Kira banner and my previous theme. <3 I like it alot. ;< I think I'll change back a little later. XD;

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

Akari: I like this banner, But I think you should solify the render in the background, or make a new background. Cause it looks like a render and thats it :). The render stands out too much, but hey, i'm not the one to criticise everyone elses banners comparing to mine (which are crap xD)

Heres another load of crap, for SOTW. I think this one emphasises 'grunge' more than the other one.
*image removed*

CheesePeow: It's a bit hectic and doesn't really have a clear focal…and I'm not too fond of dot pattern… O may make it more cleaner… but still remain as a grudge style…

Rate my signature =D
