The Hardest Catch

I'd have to say catching a Cryogonal in Black, I False Swiped it and guess how many Dusk Balls it took to catch it?

Spoiler:

Also Suicune in SoulSilver, I got so pissed with all the Dusk Balls I had to use and I was relieved when I caught it.

Articuno back in a friend's yellow was quite touch for me to catch. =( Took many retries. Moltres in LeafGreen was also a bugger for me, and Ho-oh in HGSS when I was using a bug and later a grass monotype run. Now that's a challenge! A couple of other Pokemon were also annoying to catch but nothing that need more than a reset or two, and usually I don't need to at all. I suppose roaming Pokemon deserve a mention as well though just because of the fact you need to prepare with specific moves/Pokemon usually.

mine used to be the roamers in my pokemon gold. it was raikou and i thought it will spawn in the same spot if i searched in the area but nope, it kept on jumping across the maps. then i found an entei while chasing that raikou, twice the trouble for me. i never caught any of the dogs because i was too impatient to hunt them

Azelf in D/P/Pt. Whenever it got up to +6 Special Attack with Nasty Plot, I had to frantically heal my Pokemon while trying to catch it at the same time.

I must say that Moltres was the hardest to catch in pokemon leafgreen. God, it was always so close to catch it like 5 times and then it always broke free.

It was my dear Suicune in previous save file of Soul Silver. It was like hell to capture Suicune. I used Ultra Balls only and later I realized that Timer Balls are much better. Nowadays every Pokémon are easy to capture at least with Timer Balls.

Mewtwo in yellow i was a noob back then and used my masterball on zapdos :( i spent like a day trying to catch mew two with greatballs didnt catch it not sure if this counts though

In a completed game created here on pokecommunity that I downloaded, called Pokemon Raptor EX, you can catch Arceus. Now this Arceus is different because it has all the elemental plates, and you cant do any damage unless you break all the plates, now the plates themselves have to be hit a couple of times before they break. So say you use blizzard, it'll damage all the plates EXCEPT for the Ice Plate because its the same type (the same goes the other plates). Arceus is also immune to a master ball, so you gotta use diferent ones.
Now I used up all the balls I had except for pokeballs and I had 99 so for hours and hours i sat on my laptop until I finally caught it in a pokeball.

I remember in my first FireRed game I wanted to save my Master Ball for Raikou so I spent all night trying to catch Mewtwo in a Great Ball & eventually after like 5 or 7 hours it was captured!

A shiny Fearow near Stark Mountain (lv 55?). It knew roost and I don't think I had any status moves on my team at the time. I eventually caught it but I used a lot of ultra balls in the process.

Zapdos in my Red version. I have never forgotten that battle for some reason. Literally took me over 30 balls to get it.

Articuno in LeafGreen. It was to the point where I ran out of PokeBalls to use and had to soft reset multiple times so I wouldn't have to navigate through the cave to reach it again.

Rayquaza in Emerald, oh boy, he's so difficult to catch with ultra balls.

Freaking Mesprit in Pearl. As if catching it was hard enough, it spends most of the time roaming around the region. ...Agh.

Suicine was the hardest pokemon ever for me to catch. It was also the first legendary pokemon I caught. :)
