You guys really think someone typed the whole book? Why would someone subject themselves to that when there are computers? Not to mention I would imagine that J.K. has probably updated herself to a computer at least, right? I don't think she sits and hand-writes everything anymore (although, I could be wrong, maybe she's old-fashioned)

I read an interview when the second book came out, she said that when she wrote the first book, she wrote it by hand, and she lived on the street and sneaked to her parents house, grabbed her dad's ciggarettes, and took a smoke out the back window while writing it on a sheet of paper in her lap. She said on the second book, she managed to get her hands on a typewriter, and that's what she used on the second. Pretty sure only a few months after the second book was released, adding up the publishers fee for both books to copy right her material and the sale's profit, she prolly had enough money to get a decent house and a decent computer. But now she's the richest person in Britain!

Anywas, sorry for the long post, but i have a question about the seventh book for you all it's in the spoiler tags

Spoiler:

Oh yeah, I knew she ahd written the whole first book out, because she was dirt-poor back then. I just think it unlikely that she did anything but type the last one on a computer, because as you said, she's mad rich now and doesn't need to be troubled by writer's cramp any more.

But in regards to your spoiler question:

And why are we using spoiler tags still? I'm sure anyone who joins this FC has read the book at least once by now.

If read it, and I soo regret it. wen my gran read it, she cried after she ended it. I'm going to miss Harry. But you know what they say "Never say Never"..

Anyway, I want to join, i've read all of the books including the two "Quiddich Through The Ages" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". I've seen all the movies so far as well :)

Do I Pass?

Ummmmm yeah, regarding that, you're sadly mistaken. Are you sure you finished the whole book?, because:

Spoiler:

Yeah, I just mean there are no more books. :(

Nah, she said she's writing a encyclopedia, a child's book and an adults book. From what iv'e been told by J.K herself.

EDIT: You'll join this, most likly.

Yeah, I got my book signed by her. I asked what were her plans and that's what she told me. I'm not sure if she was telling the truth though.

Well, maybe she is telling the truth, but i think the itch to make a new Potter book will get to her eventualy and she'll have to make another.

Btw, that's a darn special book!

Yeah, Someone offered me 1K for it, but just said no. I mean, i'm not selling a book i havn't read yet!

Even after you read it, I would still never sell it. That's one of those things that you hold onto your whole life.

Yeah, I mean my dad said he's sticking it in a vault when i'm finished. I mean, WHO'S GOANNA STEAL A FRIGGIN' BOOK!?!

EDIT: Plus, I'd like to meet one of the actors as well.

Gah! I'd buy two and get them both signed, sell one on the net and keep the other for myself!

So, about the encyclopedia, a Harry Potter one, or a encyclopedia about everything?

I still am set against her putting another book out. She said there was only 7 books, and thats all she was doing for Harry except an encyclopedia. She said this thrice, when the fourth, fifth and sixth books came out, she's not gonna, by any chance in this life or the next, that she will put another book out, she's gone such legths to make sure there were no series sequals, so why would she do that just to make one herself? She's done, you just have to except the fact, as happy as we, even me, woud be with another book, it's not going to come. Plus, eight is such a random number! Seven is the most powerful magical number!

A wizarding word encyclopedia, she said. Nothing about any other series.
