It's not really "bribing their way to victory" by using photoshop, since it's quite possible to do everything in photoshop with GIMP. Just depends on how good you are at either program. ;P
Learning how to use whichever program you choose is apart of the process~
 
I should really start entering graphic related contest more...That way I can show off the power of GIMP!​

True. I've seen people do miracles with other programs than Photoshop. Like Forest Grovyle (Yayster at dA) who can make photograph-like pictures on oekaki applets. Or people who work their way around Gimp, Paint Shop Pro and many other "minor" ones. If you got the basic tools such as the Brush, Bucket, Pencil and Eraser, you're good to start. Of course the options that come with it are a nice add-on.

I work with Photoshop, and this program I feel most comfortable with. I have tried out Open Canvas and GIMP when I made the jump to actually start doing Digital Artwork seriously. But I didn't really find my way around them.

I owe Photoshop for having the Pen tool. Paths save my life when I need clear line art. (I don't have a tablet, so paths are better for me atm) They are a lifesaver when I do Vector Art, or when working to cut things out precisely.
 
I like drawing on paper more than on the computer.

I -still- would like to see it in Pokemon Roleplay XD

*can't draw/do any sort of graphics whatsoever* I only post fanart. So yeah. I suck at graphics. Which is why I request from a graphics shop XD
 
Why is this thread still here?

I say an admin should boot it to somewhere else. Maybe Other Roleplay?

Haha, I have found you yet again, wandering thread! But, why is this place in the Art Gallery, nothing much interesting ever happens in this desolate (no offense to you artists out there, your work is great) place!
 
Well err, since it's still here and you seem to be complaining from lack of things to talk about, I might aswell post this piece of old art I did for... well, laughs?

the mods don't usually look in competitions unless they wanna post any comp so you are going to be here at least one more month
 
A whole month is a little bit too long, and like Mage, I highly doubt it will be here for that long.
Some Mods do occasionally check here, every so often,
so it will probably be moved within the next few weeks.
To keep on topic,
I've been anxious for the new IoTW for quite awhile now,
yet when it came, I don't feel like participating.
I can't really explain why, either.
 
I suppose...that would work.
It would probably be better, seeing as there isn't much of a discussion for Competitions,
since it just started.
