Anyway, I disagree. Unfortunately, I'd have to have this thread in the Metal and Color section to say that Gold is the best playable character. As for the Advance generation though, I like the updated Red. He sparkles.

Anyways, I actually hated the third gen. Bad Pokemon. Bad look (imo). Bad story. But all the water of Hoenn was an interesting experience, to say the least.

I'm the opposite of you. I hated the water but loved everything else. And how can you hate Absol? What is wrong with you?

Absol is <3 Perhaps Gumdrops isn't vehemently protesting Absol in particular, just the overall feel of the new Pokemon. In some ways, I do agree with Gumdrops, since the new Pokemon designs are just pale in comparison to the other generations'.

From my short history of webbernettin', I'm sorry to say that it seems like I'm one of the few intelligent people on the net that stand up for Gen III's pokes =(
Imo, they're actually better than the older ones...

This generation was the first time I managed to beat the Pokemon League without having to borrow high-leveled Pokemon from another game, and the first time I beat it on my first try.

(Advance Generation for those who'll see this after the thread is moved).

This is the first generation I actually enjoyed enough for me to still today replay it.- (FR-E) so the 3rd Generation and 1st remakes are probably my favorite for now (beside HG)

Oh! I haven't seen this thread in a while! But Pokemon Sapphire was actually one of my favorite games, it was the first game where I knew what to do so I had tons of fun playing it, although I do have to say that there was quite a bit of water...
