4th Gen The "Is my Pokémon legit or not?" Thread

Like I said, if the stats aren't odd, then you shouldn't worry too much. I'm not sure why anyone would go to the trouble to hack a regular Metagross into a game where you get one as an egg. The Suicune I can believe because it can't be found in R/S/E, but its unlikely that Metagross is a hack.
 
You can always throw the EVs into an IV calculator and post them here so people can check to see if they're suspicious or not.
 
And if you're not sure, use berries. :p

Mm, nope. Just enter the IVs and nature, and if there's no possible PID, then you know its hacked.
 
So my metagross is legit as is the azelf suicune is hacked (its stats are below what they should be) and celebi is a maybe? sum1 check celebi?
 
OK, I'm wanting to ask about the Deoxys I got from GTS (hehe, my WiFi only works with GTS ATM so that was the only way). Anyways, I'll try to get IV's but it's not UT so I can't be sure and I ran out of the IV reducing berries so I have to wait a couple of days before they've all grown again.

Using my program? Well, it unreliable, but it might help in a few cases where the IVs are very high.

Your program? I doubt it's the same one, but it IS reliable. If a Pokemon has invalid IVs, it's hacked, simple as that; and this applet checks that. If it has valid IVs, it doesn't mean it's legit, though.

(Sorry for spamming, sort of.)

That would be X-Act's applet then (only my program and his applet can be used to check this.

I don't think its spam. Many people might not be aware about the PID/IV correlation and how it can be used to show a pokemon is hacked.

Again, this method is effective for pokemon with high IVs.
Maybe Color Me Evil can put something about it in the first post.

Jirachi is hacked. There's no Jirachi out there that could be caught in the wild; all Jirachi are events.
 
Hatched in the wrong location for NOA Heracross.

Also, the master ball should've been a dead giveaway for Jirachi... Jirachi either comes in Pokeball or Cherish Ball.
 
Whats a NOA Hera? Im sorry I just dont see the hackyness of it.
 
Tom Heracross (ID 24974) = NOA Heracross. The hatched location for Martin's NOA Heracross is Solaceon town, which is the improper hatch location for the NOA Heracross. Thus, it is hacked.

Give a link to an IV calculator that you trust. Specify what format you want the IVs to be written in HP/Atk/Def/Spd/SAtk/SDef and HP/Atk/Def/SAtk/SDef/Spd are common formats. Also ask for the nature.

This will allow ~Twister to do that kind of checking. You can also do it. If you want a link to the relevant applet, PM me (if you don't know what it is already).
 
I don't check IVs because I don't care about them so there is no link I trust. Just spell out what you want me to post for crying out loud. I'm not in the mood for "Figure out the IVs!" games.
