That's a really great picture! The lighting's great, and I really like how you did the water! The surrounding black border is reminiscent of the style of motivational posters, and that's what makes the picture look so professional! Good job!

I actually didn't notice the Wingulls the first time around, though; shows how art-savvy I am nowadays!

By the way, here is my first attempt on drawing Latios, nothing too bad but nothing special at the same time. I wish I had the time to color it, although it does look nice enough already in black and white:

I agree with txteclipse about Latios' head, but the longer I look at it, the more I realize that it doesn't matter. You don't see a lot of black-and-white Latis nowadays, so it's nice to see Latios drawn differently. The lines are good, and I admire how you drew his ears.

I'm actually amazed that this Latios picture is only your first attempt; I can still recall the abomination of my first Latios attempt (*shudder*). Great job, really!

Do you think Latias and Latios are powerful Pokemons who have great stats?

Yes, as Ratiasu-kun had previously posted, Latias specializes greatly in Special Defense, while Latios specializes greatly on Special Attack. They both also work pretty good with speed, as you can see in their movie debut, they can fly through the air fast and swiftly.

By the way, here is my first attempt on drawing Latios, nothing too bad but nothing special at the same time. I wish I had the time to color it, although it does look nice enough already in black and white:

Whoa, that's a really good Latios! For whatever reason, I am not very good at drawing Latios (if you ever come across my gallery again, you may notice his near-absence there! xD), my main problem is his ears, which you have down perfectly!

lol I've lost count how many time's I've heard that! ^^; I don't really think so, and the association kinda bugs me xD Ironically though, Lugia was my favorite Pokémon before the Latis came about, so maybe they do have something in common......

I tried drawing Latias from memory, and discovered that I don't have a very good memory >.<

Anyways, After I have a little more practice, I should be able to simply scratch out fairly passable Latis any time I want. I may even do a Manga of sorts...but I'll see how that goes.

Hey there and welcome! I know how you feel; I once had scanner problems, as well. Trust me, it's not very pleasant when a Biology grade is on the line. Hope your scanner gets fixed, and we look forward to your fan-art!

I noticed that I have yet to answer any recent Lati questions, so I should probably get to them...

Well, the Latis and Lugia certainly have similarities; they're guardians, their primary environments usually incorporate water or the sky, they're Psychic-types, etc. However, there really isn't enough proof to firmly establish a connection between the Pokemon. Frankly, it would make more sense for Lugia to be related to the Three Legendary Birds, not Latios and Latias.

Nonetheless, the three Pokemon look awesome together.

What events did you think Latias and Latios will enter?

I think they would excel in racing events, like in the Altomare racing scenes in Pokemon Heroes. As they can maneuver well and apparently fly faster than a jet plane, they would undoubtedly succeed in winning any NASCAR-like competition. Like the Goldenrod 500 or something...
