I personally prefer Zelda because I like solving puzzles more than I do fighting.
If The Minish Cap and Majora's Mask are iffy but the Oracles are somehow some kind of standard, then you have a really odd sense of quality O_oThere's no competition here (therefore nothing really to discuss). Kingdom Hearts is one of the few games I put down and never looked at again because it was boring and lacked any reason for me to want to finish it.
That isn't to say that LoZ's given us many of its exceptional games lately. Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass both are questionably meeting standards when compared to A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, the Oracles, Ocarina of Time, and (I suppose) Majora's Mask. Wind Waker may very well be the turning point...unless Minish Cap came first. I can't remember.
Assemble the Triforce, save the princess?well thought out story lines in every game
You assemble the Triforce in the original game and The Wind Waker and that's...about it. :\Assemble the Triforce, save the princess?

Sometimes she's kidnapped at the beginning and sometimes it happens during the last act of the game. There is usually a separate plot going on before she gets kidnapped. But isn't it always "Kill Ganon, Save Princess?"

Not saying it's better than Kingdom Hearts. But there is a little bit more depth going on than most people give it credit for.
Generally a single Link and Zelda only appear in two games. Seems weird for say...Twilight Princess Link to complain about what previous Links had to go through.Still though, if I was Link I'd be pissed. No matter how many times I kill Ganon and save Zelda, Ganon manages to come back and Zelda manages to get herself captured yet again. I mean, after like the third we go through the process I'd be all like "You know what Zelda find your own damn way out, maybe I'm tired of saving you. Have you ever thought that maybe I wanted to do something else with my life? Like I wanted to open a shoe shop and invent new shoes that no one has ever seen before, but you would never think to ask because you're a selfish princess. In fact, I think I'm going to help Ganon so that we can all hurry up and start this all over again next life. Now GTFO!" >:O
But, you know, that's just me...
If you think about it closely, Link can't complain since... He can't talk! XD He can only make random noises but he can't talk. But for some reason people can read his mind. Or at least... they believed that's what Link meant at the time without knowing what's actually in Link's mind. He's kinda like the Pokemon Trainer you play as. Except no Pokemon... AND WITH A SWORD AND A SHIELD! XD POKEMON TRAINER LINK! XDGenerally a single Link and Zelda only appear in two games.
