So is Gible though. I'm also a big fan of Cherubi, Cherrim, and Mothim. Oh, and Torterra.

While I'm sure it's the same in Japan, I dislike the names from which you can easily tell the origin of it.

But then again, I went through all the previous gens without caring, so I don't see why I should in this case. However, I just had to call my Luxray Rentoraa :<

You probably didn't care because this was perhaps the most anticipated Pokemon game ever. People just HAD to see the previews of D/P and even the Japanese names. Luxray is a better name than Rentoraa...

Because of Wi-Fi, yeah probably. People tried to get glimpses of the new Pokemon and called them by their Japanese names at first when R/S came out too, though. Same situation happened with G/S as well, now that I think about it. Remeber the whole Pikablu thing? So yeah...not the first time that's happened. =\

there are some good names, and bad names of every gen, but, I mean, how hard is it to keep originality after they've already come out with 493 of them? O.o

I didn't memorize the Japanese names, or the english names, as to be honest, outside of this gen's starter (I chose Piplup), I tend to use the same team in every game anyways. In some weird little way, i think or them as my reincarnated team of the previous gen xD

Not really. Seeing as some of them are actually original. XD But I do admit, some of the English ones disappoint me a lot. They probably could have had more thought put into them.

Can you give an example of a repeat? I can't think of one atm...

Well the looks of some of them aren't exactly original. Ditto to a few names (pun not intended in any way). E.g. that skunk Pokemon. It looks like a skunk, and it's name has something to do with a skunk...

Whether you were asking about the rules is irrelevant as "If you wish to change the current subject being discussed, include it after a statement that relates to the topic at hand." You didn't relate to the previous topic, which is why it is deemed offtopic.

Aww c'mon Matty! Thunderstorms are sooo awesome! I love sitting by the screen door that leads out to my deck in the backyard and just sitting there listening to the thunder and watching the lightning crack. Something about it makes me feel really calm and content. XD

I think it's more to the fact that my mum makes me turn the computer off, unplug the TV and plug the modem if we get forecast a fairly bad storm. I don't see the point myself so, naturally, I'd prefer if there weren't any at all. XD

Ah, yeah. My computer's probably only ever been knocked off due to electrical storms twice, and we always leave it on during them. Nothing bad's ever happened to the computer either. I think that's a myth that your computer can get screwed up from that. =\

Haha, I'll never forget that one time last year when I was over my cousins house, in his pool, and there was a terrible thunderstorm. We hurried inside, only to see his younger sister who had attended a CCD class earlier in the day where they had been talking about the apocalypse.

As you can guess, this irony scared her half to death, so much that she went ran around the street outside, screaming "The rapture is coming!!!"

No idea how the hell it happened, but we've lost 2 TV's to thunderstorms O.o

Oh yeah, I love thunderstorms. They give me the nostalgia from '03. When there would be a REALLY bad thunderstorm, me and my cousins go on missions regarding the storm. One was : We have to get to the building in 2 minutes or the main power source will be gone!! These were playful missions and the kind that would seem very important in a very fun way. Good times, Gooooooood times....
