Update 3. With a side of apology I am up for a promotion at work and have been working overtime and at home.

Worked Really hard and got a Kings Rock.
Tried to Trade and realized I have no way to trade so I sadly deposited Golly and decided I would use Politoed later.
Went all the way to Chuck Defeated him with Wog
SharpTooth Evolved Caught a Seel named it Flipper on the way to the Safari Zone.
Then beat Jasmine then caught a Goldeen named it Lucky
Defeated the Red Gyarados. Instantly regretted not catching it.
Defeated the endless amount of Team Rocket in Mahogany Town
Defeated Pryce and then Team Rocket in Goldenrod
Batting Team Rocket Goldeen and Seel Evolved.
Went to Blackthorn City and Saved it in front of the Gym

Update Number Four!

Haven't updated in a few days, but I've put in a lot of work!

Spoiler:

-Prior to taking on Norman, I trained a bunch.
-Treecko became a Sceptile, Cacnea became a Cacturne prior to battling Norman.
-I easily defeated Norman.
-I made my way toward Fortree
-Caught and boxed Latios
-Easily defeated Team Magma at the weather insituite.
-Picked up a leaf stone to evolve Nuzleaf into Shiftry
-Took down Winona rather easily.
-Caught a Tropius to complete my team
-Trained for a bit, elevating Tropius' level closer to my main team's level.
-Took down Team Magma at Mt. Pyre
-Arrived in Lily Cove, easily defeated May
-Took down Team Magma in their hideout.
-Arrived in Mossdeep City
-Acquired a sun stone to evolve Gloom into Bellossom, thus finishing my team

Update #1

Spoiler:

-Started my journey, chose Treecko as my starter.
-Had some easy battles and got to Route 102
-Spent an hour and 15 minutes trying to find a Ralts
-Found a Surskit (1%) before a Ralts (4%) so I was beginning to lose it (No Dexnav)
-Caught the Ralts (thank gosh), got it up to level 4, and began my journey. Promptly boxed Treecko.
-Got to Petalburg and did some grinding to lvl 11 (Confusion was the only attack, then I got Disarming Voice)
-Then I thoroughly went and annhilated anything in my path
-Got to Roxanne, and her Nosepass showed a little bit of trouble, but got through the 1st time.
-Now it's time for a sweep, I mean Brawly.

Update Number Five!

Spoiler:

-After talking to Steven and receiving Dive, I progressed toward the Sea Floor Cavern
-Took down Maxie and Team Magma at the Seafloor Cavern.
-Proceeded to Sootopolis City
-Entered the Cave Of Origin.
-Took on Groudon (Took a few times because I accidently killed him)
-Caught and boxed Groudon!
-Took on and defeated Wallace for my eighth and final gym badge!
- Made my way toward Ever Grande City
-Progressed through Victory Road, taking down my true rival Wally in the end.
-Challenged the Elite Four
- Sydney, Phoebe, and Glacia weren't a challenge at all, but Drake…. took me five tries to beat him.
-Like Drake, Champion Steven was also a little bit of a problem, specifically his Skarmory. I defeated him after four battles.
-Entered the Hall Of Fame!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update 5
-Got on the SS Anne, defeated all the trainers aboard the ship Found the little girl and landed in Vermilion city
-Did a little bit of training and defeated Surge.
-Continued my lack there of a better word Rampage through Kanto defeating Sabrina and then Erika.
-Went to the Power Plant then back to Cerulean and defeated the rocket guy got the part.
-Went back to the plant than ruined Misty's Date.
-Destroyed Misty my water types were better.
Went to Lavender Town and got the expand card
Woke up Snorlax
-Then fought and defeated Koga's daughter (I want to say her name was Jannine)
-Went to Pewter and beat Brock.
-Went to Cinnabar Island went to the gym but first I went downstairs in the cave and finally got a Water Stone.
-Evolved Wog Defeated Blaine.
-Then I spoke to Blue.
-Went to his Gym Dear god the floor tiles killed my life
(Now Believe it or not I did this in about 2 hours and by the end my Pokemon were all on level 55 I was in no position to fight red I literally got through the fights with pure luck.so I leveled up a bit)
-Took all the money my mum was saving and brought as many revives and Hyper Potions I could
-Went to Mount Silver used repels the whole way and fought Red.
With a mix of luck a few good Critical hits for me a few miss hits for him the hail and a lot of revives and a lot of Hyper Potions I finally defeated Red.

Quick Wrap up and Rating.
I'm not going to lie Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heart Gold and Soul Silver are my least favorite games. I have a few reasons for disliking them but I don't really want to go into it.



I have decided to rank the Pokemon with the first being the worst and the last being the MVP.


Lucky (Seaking)
It died like all the time, after a while I just stopped using it.

Feraligatr (SharpTooth)
Not a terrible Pokemon It just died a lot, didn't really get used an awful lot, and if I am honest Feraligatr is not one of my favorite starters


KrabSalad (Kingler)
Great attack stat with decent defense generally led into battle with this guy to test out the waters. Strong battler but could not take a special and was a bit Slow.


Flipper (Dewgong)
If you asked me after the elite four who was my front runner for MVP it would have been Flipper. Flipper was my gun and throughout the whole challenge was a fantastic Pokemon. Was a tough call between Flipper and Squishy for the 2nd Place.


Squishy (Tentacruel)
I honestly have no complaints about this guy Strong Pokemon who won me a lot of battles slightly edged out Flipper mainly due to Poison Jab Poisoning pretty much everything and it was Fantastic.

Wog (Poliwrath) (MVP) (I guess no one will be surprised)
I found it really difficult to find a water stone I was never playing the right days for the Pokeathon to reward me with a Water Stone I won the bug catching comp 4 times and nothing and Tully never called me. I wrestled with the idea of boxing Wog several times as honestly he was starting to become a liability. But once he evolved he became my number 1. I kind stuffed up his move set and he did not have any fighting moves and he was still fantastic obviously I would use him again.

Ultimate Mono Type Challenge: Grass
Update Number Six!

Spoiler:

-After finishing Omega Ruby, I decided to progress to the Kallos region in Pokemon X!
-Per usual, named my player character Ded.
-Selected Chespin as my starter.
-Trained for a bit, and progressed through the beginning of the game.
-After arriving in Santalune City, I easily defeated Viola. During the battle Chespin evolved into Quilladin.
-I met Professor Sycamore in Lumiose City and selected Bulbasour, but I immediately boxed him.
-I caught a Skiddo on route 5 and trained him to catch up to Quilladin's level.
-I progressed through Camphrier Town and caught the Snorlax blocking the path. (Immediately put in the box.)
-Serena and I took down Trevor and Tierno rather easily (Skiddo dominated)
-Prior to progressing through the connecting cave, I caught a Hoppop.
-Trained Hoppop to try and catch up to both Qulliadin and Skiddo.
-Eventually arrived in Ambrette Town and made my way to the Digsite. On the way I continued to train Hoppop, so much so, she evolved into Skiploom!!!

I've been supremely lazy with my updates. Not much left to go on my SoulSilver run, but I'm not sure how my Flying types are going to fare against Red's Pikachu or any of his three Pokemon that know Blizzard, so I've been grinding. In the meantime, I've basically played all the way through Platinum.

I wish I'd taken notes, but it's really been awhile since I've made substantial progress. I made it through Kanto without too much difficulty. As of now I cannot make it through the Lance rematch. He's just a beast, and due to limitations I've set on myself with only using Pokemon introduced in Gold and Silver, I have practically no Ice or Dragon moves available to me (unless I train up Delibird...which just seems...wasteful?). So every now and then I battle through the Elite Four to level up, but maybe some strategy adjustments need to be made.

I forgot to post any updates on my Steel monotype run so I'm going to do them now.

Update #1 - Monotype started with Oshawott as my starter. Caught a Riolu and named it Arin, and immediately deposited Oshawott into my deposit box. Completed the first gym and then went to the next city. Caught a Magnemite, and forgot to name it. Arin evolved right before the 2nd gym and then immediately after I completed the 2nd gym. Went on to Castellia City and completed the sewer part and as soon as I got out of it, I went and challenged the 3rd gym and completed it.

Ultimate Water Monotype Run:

Spoiler:

- Started game. Main character is HYDRO, Rival is SPONGE (Every nameable rival will be an incarnation of SPONGE, get used to bad jokes everyone)
- Withdrew Potion from PC, left home. Got Squirtle, named him ROSHI.
- ROSHI beat SPONGE's Bulbasaur's ass.
- Level grinding time. Got ROSHI to Level 10 and then delivered Oak's Parcel. Then more Level grinding.
- With ROSHI at Level 12, fought SPONGE outside Pokemon League. Won again, replaced Withdraw with Water Gun
- Made it through Viridian Forest, got ROSHI to Level 15 by the end.
- ROSHI evolved after the first Gym Trainer and then just sweeped Brock's team.
- Bought a Magikarp from the Mt. Moon PokeCenter, and I hereby dub her FISHMOONEY (Lulz, Gotham reference)
- More grinding and adventuring through Mt. Moon. Team Rocket and the other randos in here made for pretty good grindfodder, surprisingly.
- Picked up the Dome Fossil. Gonna get me a Kabuto later.
- Saved and decided to take a break in Cerulean City, pre-Misty fight and pre-Rival battle.

-Progressed Through the Glittering Cave, Easily Defeating Team Flare!
-Took the Sail Fossil (Amaura) immediately boxed it
-Arrived in Cyllage Village
-Defeated Gym Leader Grant, For My Second Kalos Gym Badge!
-Caught an Eevee on Route 10. Going to evolve into Leafeon later in the game!
-Trained Eevee to catch up to my squad!
-Took down Team Flare on Route 10, only to watch them disappear into rocks!
-Proceeded through the ultra cool Reflection Cave
-Skiploom evolved into Jumpluff while in the cave
-Arrived in Shalour City, easily defeating Korrina twice for my third Kalos gym badge and a Mega Ring!
-During my battle Skiddo evolved into Gogoat
-Proceeded through Route 12, Azure Bay, and arrived in Coumarine City.
-Easily Defeated Gym Leader Ramos.
-Proceeded To The Kalos Power Plant, taking down Team Flare quite easily.
-Quilladin evolved into Chesnaught after my battle with Team Flare Admin.
-With the power back on I arrived at a fully lit Lumiose City!

- Beat SPONGE using FISHMOONEY and ROSHI, ROSHI learned Rapid Spin too.
- Did the Nugget Bridge run. FISHMOONEY is actually being kind of useful now that she knows Tackle. Not quite to MVP status, but more useful than it was back at Level 5.
- Made my way to Bill's House, got his ticket, then came back down to kick the Rocket guy's keister.
- Gym Battle time. ROSHI's Bite made short work of this Gym.
- Made it to Vermillion City, nothing important really happened on the way. Did get the Bike Voucher and an Old Rod, though.
- Decided to train on Route 11 before hitting up the SS Anne.
- FISHMOONEY EVOLVED, FREAKING FINALLY
- Finished up on Route 11 and went to the SS Anne. Battled literally everyone on it. FISHMOONEY sweeped the Rival's entire team.
- Got Cut, went to Diglett Cave and used a Great Ball to catch a Dugtrio to be my first HM Slave. (He can learn Cut and I think Rock Smash, but don't quote me on that last bit)
- Sweeped Surge's team with a Gyarados. Unbelieveable.
- Made my way to Rock Tunnel, saved at the entrance. Will deal with that some other time.
