Last time I posted, I had just assembled a team of six and defeated Grant. Fast forward to now - I just arrived in Dendemille Town. All the gym leaders so far, with the exception of Grant, have been super easy. I think I may have had some trouble with Korrina, but it was some time ago. Anyway, my whole team is finally fully evolved, (Salamence, friggen finally!) Charizard gets the designated mega spot, and the movesets are coming along. Here's my team:

Steel Monotype on Y, Update 5
-Short update but whatever. Go to Lysandre's cafe like you're supposed to. Listened to him give his usual spiel about how the world is beautiful and he wants to keep it that way. And he just randomly hands you a King's Rock while he's at it. I don't need one though man.

-Afterwards you get a call from Trevor asking you to meet up with everyone on Route 14. So I oblige and make my way there, though you kind of have to regardless since Lavarre's that way. So I get there, and both Calem and Trevor challenge me to battle (with Trevor's sort of battle being comparing PokeDex completion). They both lost, obviously. Really the whole group of your friends in this game are a sad bunch. Like I'm not trying to complete the Dex but Trevor always loses. Calem you always have to beat and always laments about it. Shauna is legit basically like "idk wtf the I'm doing with my life, everyone else has goals but I don't and that kinda sucks". I'm pretty sure that if they made you have a dance-off with Tierno you'd somehow always manage to out-dance him too even though I can't dance, becuz reasons. Like goddamn I'm kind of crushing these children's souls here what the fuck Game Freak.

-So anyway Shauna mentions the "haunted house" further up the route and we all agree to check it out. Except for Calem cuz he's no fun. So I trudge through the swamp that is Route 14, beating the trainers along the way, and finally end up at the house. Inside is an older man who tells you a scary story. As you can imagine, it's not actually scary. Even the kids didn't think it was scary. The most disappointing part though is how he says that something truly frightening will happen to you if you don't tip him, but nothing happens if you don't tip him =( Also tipping is a shitty practice pay your employees real wages for fuck's sake.

-Entered Lavarre City, soaking wet and covered in mud, because apparently no one thought to build a pathway through a route that connect one major city to another that has a swamp in it and is one of the rainiest areas in Kalos. Checked out the town, including the area in front of the PokeBall Factory and the boutique (was not much of interest there, though bought a new pair of boots).

-Took on the Gym. The Lavarre Gym is a Fairy gym. This is a Steel monotype. You can imagine what happened (and unlike the Rock gym, I had real Steel STAB this time). Absolute bloodbath, they're gonna be scrubbing those rooms for a while. Came outside and the townsfolk were like "oh my god are you ok you're covered in blood?!" and I'm like "yeah I'm fine, but they aren't".

.....except this is Pokemon so there's no blood so that didn't happen. Gym was still easy tho. Also the guys who greets you and gives you basic type advice at the gym entrances called me "Miss Pouty".....maybe he's seen my PC avatar?

-With the gym complete, you now get to do the part where you kick Team Flare out of the factory. They still are no threat to me lol. And now I have this Master Ball that I have no idea what I'm gonna do with.

Final Update

Done and done. Elite Four fell to punches and kicks and Earthquake. Drasna's Noivern was definitely the hardest obstacle, taking down four team members. My usual bugbear Mega Gardevior was happily slower than Aikido and fell to two Returns.

Sinnoh Update 5 (Platinum)

So this Challenge is taking me a lot longer than expected. Main reasons behind this is I have been busy and my Ds has gone flat about 6 times during this challenge and I have had to redo the same thing a couple of times.

When I left off I was in lake Valor.
I defeated team Galactic at a few different places and eventually went to Snowpoint City.
Defeated Candice and then went through Team Galactic Hide out and started heading to Spear Pillar.
Sorry for the delay and simple update but it is 3:03 in the morning and I'm sure anyone reading this has played Pokémon Platinum before.

Update!
I reached Virbank city, and got pokeballs and Greatballs from strangers, which is a shame, because I bought a bunch of them like a second before.
I went to the complex but couldn't find an Audino to catch...dang it. I stayed there for a while to train

The first gym actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got my ratata hyper fang and just spammed that to beat Brock.
Below is a screenshot of my team after the fight.
