Nobody is truly in complete control of themselves or anyone, we are influenced by everything around us in our daily lives, and driven by the basic instincts of hunger/thirst, reproduction, and fear. It may appear that your thoughts and actions are because of your decision, but there is always an underlying reason that is the real thing driving those thoughts and actions. But it's alright, because it's impossible to ignore all outside influences, they are part of life and people can learn to work efficiently with them.
