You're thinking Pythagorean Theorem, which is not a mathematical sequence but rather a formula concerning the sides lengths of right triangles.

The Fibonacci Sequence is the never-ending mathematical sequence that takes the two numbers previous to the one being found, and adds them together to make the third.

Basically...
Sequence: A, B, C, D, E, F, G...
Add A and B to get C. Add B and C to get D. Add C and D to get E. And so on.
