LOL! i finally did it!! finally, a shiny beldum!!! do you know how long it took??? like 4 months waiting for the girl to be like: go get those beldums!!!
 
Caught two Shiny Makuhita's earlier. Chain of 34 and then 35. An early Christmas present perhaps.
 
I remember my first shiny, it was a Bagon from Pearl. That is my only one (that i have acquired without cheating) ;)
 
wow, cool a bagon. i got a trapinch on 32 today! early christmas present from diamond

I got my game the saturday before christmas and the day before christmas i was walking in the cave towards dialga when i decide to catch a bronzong because i just ran never thought that i need to catch it and i caught one then i carried on going towards team galactic and next battle i find is a green bronzong, my only shiny. where do u get the pokeradar app?
 
sady i have no shinys (kinda coz ive never tried and i dont really know how) am goin 2 try 2night though. wish me luck =)

im going crazy i cant find any :@

So I decided to check my swarms and sit down to go shiny hunting again.

Platinum swarm - Spoink
Got a highest chain of 30 and it was ended for seemingly no reason by a Rhyhorn. Doh! Decided to check out my Diamond.

Diamond swarm - Voltorb
What the heck, it's been a while since I've chained. Let me try something easy. I grabbed a 'Static' Electrike, fainted it, and chained my way to 40 on the second try.

Chain ended with a stupid mistake; I used a level 20 Butterfree to sleep/damage the Voltorb so I could catch 'em with PokéBalls. Well I forgot to move the Butterfree back, and the Repels are useless with my first Pokémon a lower level than the wilds.

Didn't Synchronize for a Hasty/Timid nature, and it bit me in the arse. Quiet one has great IVs, but it's -Speed nature is just depressing.
 
I got a Geodude to a chain of 50 but only got the 1 shiny which was a shame, I wanted 3 really, so I could have a shiny of each evolution.
 
I caught the Rayquayza today on Emerald but it is Shiny but its nature sucks. I transfered it to pearl already though!
 
I know the basics of catching shiny's, kind of, you use pokeradar but how long do you have to keep the chain going?

You get it when you beat the game and then go to the Pal Park..

For the E4, an evolved team around level 55+ should be fine. Use legendaries, your starter, or if you have wifi, ask for some strong pokemon. Bring a lot of Full Restores, Revives, Moomoo Milks, etc. My team was barely at 50, and even though it took me 6 times, I could do it. xD

No new shinies, but if anyone needs help on chaining, feel free to ask me.

I had a really prized shiny moment- I had recieved a Manaphy egg from someone over Wi-Fi and I hatched it, it hatched shiny! ^^
 
I once had a shiney... Vulpix, I think. Anyway, I didn't know what it was, got freaked out by it and released it back into the wild. Idiot!
 
But do u need a 3rd gen pokemon to get in there because i didnt get a 3rd gen 4 sum reason i have crystal and yellow but my red got stolen. Any1 live in south africa who wants to sell a 3rd gen game to me?

I highly doubt this.
BUT it may be possible, but EXTREMELY UNLIKELY.

Well, December 26th, I was hunting a Dialga, and got bored. So I moved over to Uxie. After 12 resets, it was shiny! :O
Although, on one of my old profiles, I did 12,000 resets, without success.
Then, the next day, I was using the tweaking glitch, and managed to get to Darkrai. After 200 resets, that was a shiny too!
 
Just got my hands on a shiny bidoof this morning with a chain of 60 my personal best!
 
I am so happy a couple of minute's ago i started a new game called myself Diamond and my rival gary
chose my starter piplup went in the battle with piplup it was SHINY
i couldn't belive it
