The Official Shiny Thread

My first shiny was a shiny Mankey in firered. When I tried to migrate the Pokemon, it completely erased the game and i had 4 lvl 100s including the shiny Promeape and a shiny Electrode

It depends. I've seen people do it on their first try, and I've seen it take a month or so. It all depends.
 
Hey guys. Quick question. If i have a shiny bronzong and shiny ditto and i breed them, would i get a shiny or is it still he next to nothing chance

Sorry but your not gonna get a shiny that way, it would still be like finding a random shiny. Or you could try the Masuda Method which is were you breed a different language pokemon with one of of yours. ( ex. A japanese vulpix with a english vulpix.)

so tell me. if i get any pokemon and another pokemon from the same egg group but from another country, i could get a shiny???
 
who can trade me a legit shiny charizard???
 
Well to put it simply breed one of your pokemon with a pokemon from a foreign language game, you will have a 1/2048 chance of finding one. I am now the proud owner of a shiny adamant Staraptor! Imma chaining MASTER!!!!

I used to have horrible luck with shinies being playing since the start and never encountered any until diamond, HMMM let's see... Random encounter shinies I have 3, Hippowdon which was obtained will training my darkrai, Slowpoke will travelling through slowpoke well in SS(my japanese copy), and just yesterday night my most unwanted shiny ever......BIDOOF XD(I loled so hard when it came out).

As for chained shinies(just what I chained half of them are evolved) from memory I have:
6 Shinxs
3 machops
3 pinsers
7 gligars
16 bunearys(XD)
4 beldums
6 Magnemites
1 electabuzz
theres more just cant remember them right now XD

My lil cousin found a shiny Pachirisu near Valley Windworks but he ran outta pokeballs, smh horrible horrible luck.

I feel bad cuz my shiny army is building while he has none

Beldom, Blaziken, Latias, Bulbasaur, Pichu, Pikachu, Giratina, Grayados, Gliscor and the next ones are Buizel, Feebas, & Drifbloon

I caught 1 shiny on Platinum.
But what's weird is that I caught 4 shinies in HeartGold even before the Elite 4

Hatched 5 Shiny Eevees to complete my Shiny Eevee collection. I now have all evolutions (I already had two before those five) as shiny. Well, except Umbreon because I am too lazy to evolve the last one. My Shiny Female Jolly Leafeon with Seed Bomb will be traded to Black.

Encounted a shiny Ariados tonight in the grass area just above the Resort Area - caught it after a few Net balls
 
Encountered a shiny Paras in the Great Marsh Game in Pearl - caught it after 1 try (lucky considering they may have fleed)
