Hi all my name is Alex
I am Rantiki's husband (Poor Sarah)

Brand new to Pokemon though I cannot understand what has taken me so long. I had a DS-Lite for many years and though my wife played Pokemon, I didnt. This Xmas we both bought 3DS with Pokemon X and Y, LOVED it!!

And so now we are both in the start of ORAS and have filled in the gaps in our past collection via ebay, so plan on playing everything between us. As I played Y she played X and we see that as a nice way to proceed. Its great chatting over the differences between our versions and swapping the uniques when we catch them.

Our little boy seems mesmerized by the Pokemon, which as he loves animals and Dragons is not a surprise. He is truly amazing and an absolute gift. He has autism and it is a fully integral part of his amazing personality and so with the difficulties also comes massive perks, so we love that he has autism.

Me, as Sarah has said, we are on the more mature age end though I am still a big kid.
I like archery, airguns, miniature painting, miniature wargaming, gundam models, rcc cars, collectible card games (fixed distribution only so Pokemon cards are too much money sink for me), computer games, Warcraft, reading, fantasy, sci-fi, cycling, Doctor-Who, golf, bowling, DIY, airsoft, films, tv, caravanning and probably other hobbies that have slipped my mind right now (yup theres a lot).

The magic of the Pokemon games for me is partly in the collecting but also the story, they are so magical in their telling. Really enjoyed Y and currently enjoying OR. Also looking forward to going back to Y to mop up after game content at some point.

So anyways, its great to be here and Im looking forward to all the content and chat here.
Thanks a lot for anyones time wading through this hello-post and hope to see you around the forums.
    Wow these are great games!!

    Welcome fellow "Oldie"
If I am nice I give you a reply on the forum's any chance of a "cup of tea?", seriously if I don't welcome him he might not trade Poke's with me :(...well he would take that tack if he desired sleepy time on the sofa!

Welcome Alex! glad you finally got to type your welcome message!

Oh hey! I met your wife here, and she seems really nice! It's glorious meeting you too; welcome to the forums! I'm Dragon, mod of this board, so, if you have any questions about PC in general, you can let me know anytime. Anywho, I'm glad that you're enjoying X&Y. I think they're really fun too. Can't wait for Z! <33

Yes, I really enjoy the storyline from some pokemon games too, like Gen V which had a really compelling and interactive story! And I love the interactivity from X&Y too, because it's soo easy to connect with others, y'know? But yeah, dispute our age difference, I really do hope that you and I can be friends as fellow fans of the franchise. ^^

But yes, glad to have you here with us, and I hope you have an amazing stay, and an awesome day! See you again. <33

I can understand your son, since I have autism myself and it's often caused my life to not be like a normal person. Anyways, welcome to you too Alex!

It's so awesome you both play Pokemon together, and I'm sure your son will get involved as well, and it's definitely more fun when the whole family gets involved because Pokemon is meant to be played with buddies. I noticed you and your partner played different versions, you played Y and OR aka 6th Gen's "red" versions while she played the "blue" ones.

That said, good luck and do stick around!

Sarah/Rantiki... Thanks, Ill go put the kettle on then :)

Dragon: Thank for the welcome very nice of you. Age difference not an issue :) personality is what counts. Im really looking forward to going through all the story lines. Its nice that you enjoyed XY yet still are excited about Z, I assumed Z would be too similar to XY and just a combined version but your enthusiasm suggests its worth playing through anyway. By that note, is it worth playing Pearl or Diamond before getting to grips with Platinum? (Means buying Pearl/Diamond though as we dont have those).

    Thanks again :)

Hikamaru thanks :) we truly see autism as having too sides, one with difficulties and one with blessings :)
Thanks for the welcome and looking forward to time here :)

Edit: Yes Y and OR for me (red) and X with AS for Sarah/Rantiki (blue) seemed a good way to do it :)

I'm assuming a possible Pokemon Z will have more features. o: Like more things to do during in-game, more pokemon to find, as well as more things to do after you beat the pokemon leauge. :3

Anyhow, Pearl and Diamond is okay, but Platinum is basically both of them combined into one, with more features, so I'd definitely recommend playing Platinum as it's basically the same as DP, but better~!

Hello and welcome to PC. I hope you have a great time here. If you would like to leave a message on my profile you're more than welcome to do so. I'll try my best to reply back as soon as possible. Have a great day.

Hi, and welcome =D hope you enjoy your time here! It's a great little place!

You have a very very wide range of interests which is pretty awesome. I'm interested in a slew of things myself but alas there are only so many free hours in a day to utilize. -heavy sigh- Good having you on PC, Alex. 8D And of course a hearty welcome to this lovely franchise. As someone who has been into Pokémon since the late 1990s I'm more than happy to help out if you need anything.

    See you. n~n
