That all works, good idea for Impmon btw.

DATAMON
EDIT: I think Datamon should have a more machine line. What about Mekanorimon? (That's what Dusk calls him, is that right?)
Wait; does this work? Kokuwamon -> Mekanorimon -> Datamon ?

btw I think he should be a healing/debuffing Digimon, since he "Used to be a repair Digimon".
So he can like, paralyze and inflict poison (which I think should be called 'Viral' in this game)

DNA
Also maybe we can expand on DNA too, like Mamemon + Tyrannomon = Mametyramon.

ITEM DIGIVOLUTION
And items: Tyrannomon + Steel-Uplink = MetalTyrannomon.
Vademon + Cybernetics = Ebemon

LOCALE DIGIVOLVUTION
And instead of needing say, Aquan EXP, to digivolve to an Aquan digimon, maybe we could get rid of that and make it so they need to be in a water area when they digivolve?
(Speaking of which, let's include an underwater area like in DS, because that was awesome.)

DemiDevimon + Ice Locale = IceDevimon?

ARMOUR DIGIVOLUTION
And let's keep all the Armour digivolutions from the anime intact, too.

GENDER DIGIVOLUTION
I don't know if we should really do this, but it's a possibility we could have say:
[F] Demidevimon -> LadyDevimon
[M] Demidevimon -> Devimon

Yeah considering Paildramon is ExVeemon and Stingmon and you can not get it any other way so DNA would be good.
 
Well since you guys are choosing the right attacks and the right digivolution patterns here is a link to an online digidex it has all the information on every digimon like there digivolution patterns and there attacks even their bio here it is https://dma.wtw-x.net/ also THIS IS NOT A FORUM IT'S JUST ASSOCIATED WITH ONE.
 
Because I'm so nosey, I saw somewhere where you did a quiz before getting your pokemon, maybe use the same script but change them to digimon? (This was in a hack)

Possibly the starters from the anime, season 1, 2, and 3. Maybe some more, some less, or something completely different.

This is a good idea.

Maybe have it so after the quiz you are aligned with either Courage, Knowledge, Sincerity, etc.

I just got a burst of knowledge, theres eight Digidestined from the first season, each has their own crest, you could make them the gym leaders & you fight & if you win you get their crest?

Hmm, that could be interesting. Not gym leaders though, maybe they want to test you to see if you're strong enough to defeat /whoever.

lol :P i justed wanted to put that out their the god now is yggdrasil it's a computer program that the royal knights protect. :D
 
Yeah, I was just using the gym leader reference as to suggest their spot in the game

lol yeah the bogus thing is how fanglongmon died. :D(ohh and fanglongmon was the leader of the 4 soverigns just wanted to put that out too.) :P
 
Well, we want it to be as different from Pokémon as possible, so having 'badges' wouldn't really be appropriate.
Anyway, what about the game's name? I propose Digimon World XP.
