Definitely true! The dexnav is a favorite shiny hunting method for gen 6, and all-time. It was the one that really got me into shiny hunting as a hobby, building my confidence because the odds were good, and it wasn't too complicated to pull off, you only needed to bring some repels and a light touch with the circle pad to sneak up on a pokemon. I also would get hidden ability pokemon using this method.

Tpbm has used thief, or a similar item-stealing move, to take held items from wild pokemon or trainers?
 
True. I recall using a Super Luck Honchkrow with Thief to farm several Pokemon in BDSP for evo items such as for example Magby for the Magmarizer.

Tpbm doesn't like their favorite Pokemon's shiny.
 
Not sure what to answer here as I don't play anything pre-3DS. I just never even tried as the mechanics are just too dated. As for gens 6-8 I have no problems returning to them at all. I'm actually currently playing Alpha Sapphire =3

Tpbm has used mythical Pokemon on a playthrough team.
 
Oh most definitely true of multiple save files. On XY I finally hit the 999 hours and 59 minute mark this year from all the joyful hours spent shiny hunting.

Tpbm has had a dream that had pokemon in it.
 
I did! Whether it was playing some Pokémon game or doing stuff with Pokémon (like waving hi to Mew while on the back of a (honestly small) Pterodactyl (and that was after a Gardevoir grabbed my hand in a RL like mall, and pulled me through a TV screen into something like the world of Pokémon)! Or meeting a Charizard in some house and escaping it with its help! Among others dreams... ^^

True. Even found 2 of them in HeartGold where I ended up with a shiny Magneton and a shiny Graveler. =D
Aside from that I also had a shiny Hariyama in Emerald and got a Shiny Foongus (now Amoonguss) in Black and an shiny Ariados in one of the Alola games.

Tpbm never uses Repels.
 
False, I sell valuable items I pick up- that's free money I can use to help me stock up on lots healing items and pokeballs for my travels! The only situations I would not sell in are ones where the treasure has an alternative function like the big mushrooms in frlg that can be traded with the move reminder. Otherwise I have no reason to let something I will be paid well for collect dust in the inventory, especially in older games that have limited bag space.

Tpbm likes to customize their trainer and/or room.
