    Dalex Yukashi - Ship

Buurrrr! The ship's fog horn sounded.

"We will be arriving on PTA Island in approximately ten minutes. Please be ready to debark the ship." The intercom sounded.

Dalex walked to the side of the ship and looked down into the water where water pokemon were playing.

"Froakie! Come back up! We are almost to PTA!" Dalex called over the sloshing of the water. The ship itself was not that big. So you could easily here the water from the deck.

Froakie's head popped out of the water and smiled as it opened its big eyes and blinked up at Dalex.

"Don't think about it! You are gonna get hurt!" Dalex called, but it was too late.

Froakie went back under the water and a few seconds later, it leaped out of the water, trying to jump on board to show off. Its jump was wild and he fell short and crashed into the side of the ship with a thud. Dalex's face turned red as he heard laughs from the others on the deck. He covered his face with his hand and shook his head.

    "Told you."

Dalex uncovered his face and Froakie was floating on top of the water, eyes closed in disappointment as it squirted water out of its mouth.

"Fletchling! Can you get Froakie please." Dalex called to the sky.

At that moment, a small bird pokemon, with red feathers, flew down to the water. Froakie jumped again, but this time Fletchling tackled Froakie from underneath, giving Froakie the extra boost it needed to get back onto the deck. Dalex walked over to where Froakie landed and squatted down and put his hand on Froakie's head and smiled.

"Better luck next time." Dalex said.

Dalex turned as he heard his other pokemon. Treecko had its arms crossed and had his eyes closed. Treecko opened its eyes and looked at Froakie and smiled.

"Now now you two. We are nearly there." Dalex joked.

Dalex walked back over to the edge of the boat. He could see smoke rising from the volcano in the center of the island. As he leaned over the side, Fletchling landed on his head.

"Hey mister! Why is your Fletchling a red color?" A little voice asked.

Dalex turned to see a little girl looking up at him. Dalex smiled and turned and sat down near the little girl that was about eight years younger than he was.

"Well you see, my mother is a breeder Fortree City in the Hoenn Region. One day she walked out into the field where we keep the pokemon and a Talonflame and Swellow were guarding an egg. When she tried to give it to the trainer of the pokemon that were guarding it, the trainer declined, so she gave me the egg. And this little guys popped out of it a few weeks later." Dalex explained as Fletchling landed on the little girls head.

"But how did the egg get there?" The girl asked.

Dalex was shocked by the question, he didn't know what to say. He looked over at Froakie and it started to laugh and roll around on the ground.

"Uh.... well...." Dalex's face turned as red as a Charmeleon.

As he was about to answer the question in a creative way, her parents came and took her away as they laughed as well.

"Whew!" Dalex breathed as he leaned back on his arms.

The foghorn sounded again and Dalex got back to his feet.

"We will arrive at PTA Island in five minutes, please be ready to debark." The intercom sounded once more.

Dalex looked across that ocean as bird pokemon started flying over head. The water reflected the clouds and sun, but the water was clear as crystal.

"Alright guys. Time to return! I will let you all back out soon." Dalex said as he pulled three pokeballs from his waist and a red beam of light shot at the pokemon and absorbed them.

Dalex ran to a room where his stuff was kept and quickly found the two bags he had and slung them across his back. Once his hand was free, he felt his neck to check to see if his necklace was still there, and it was. The necklace meant a lot to him. It was like a shiny rock, but he did not know exactly what it was. He had found it with Treecko while they were exploring a cave, searching for fossils. He had made it into a necklace to wear. He looked down at his orange C Gear, but he knew the time was wrong, so he did not know what time it was at the moment. The ship quickly approached the docks and he grinned.

Finally! I am here! He thought.

"No worries," Sammy nodded, unclipping one of the Pokeballs from her belt and releasing the Pokémon inside. Elvis was too much of a bully to socialise well and Cubone could still be a little timid at times. Shuppet didn't do anything, Onix was too large and Ponyta was a little big as well. That only left one real option.

"Pancham, this is Amber and her Zubat. Be nice, okay?"

The little Fighting type looked all the way up to Amber and Valor, his wide eyes taking everything in. He sucked on the leaf in his mouth uncertainly before shrugging. "Cool, I guess. Just don't ask me to play batty-cake."

Sammy smiled, assuming that Pancham was being a perfect little gentleman. "Well Amber, it's good to meet you. If you need a hand settlin' in or anything just let me know. It wasn't too long ago that I was the new chick so I'm happy to help you out however I can. Say the word and I'm yours."

Dalex Yukashi - The Docks/Main Building/Entei Dorm Room

Dalex didn't wait for the ship to come to a complete stop at the docks. As soon as it was close enough, he ran and leaped off the side of the small ship and landed safely on the dock and smiled.

"Boy! Don't you know that there is no running on the ship when it is docking!" The dock worker yelled at him.

"Eh, didn't think about it. I did bigger jumps back home, so it was nothing new." Dalex laughed.

"You could have gotten hurt!" The worker yelled again.

    "But I didn't." Dalex smirked.

The captain rolled his eyes and caught the gangway and lowered it with a loud thump so others could walk across safely. Dalex turned away and walked to a bench and sat down. He unzipped his bag and pulled out a big piece of paper that was folded many times. After a few minutes, he had completely unfolded the large parchment that was a map of the island and looked at it. He studied it for many minutes and suddenly, his pokeball moved at his side and grew by itself. It was something he was use to. The red light flashed from the ball and Treecko appeared on the bench and climbed up Dalex's shoulder.

'Treecko... tre.' Treecko cried in an unpleasant matter.

"Ah don't be like that. I had to get away from everyone and looked at the map." Dalex said, looking back at Treecko.

    'Tree-cko.'

Dalex ignored Treecko's annoyance and continued to study the map. He placed his finger on the map where the docks were and traced a path to the dorms and the main building. He folded his map back up and slipped it into his pocket. Treecko jumped down onto the ground with no sound and Dalex threw he bags across his shoulder again.

"Burr. It's cold here." He announced.

He realized that it was winter and he was not use to it. He was use to the warm climate of the Hoenn region, thought he cold was nothing new. Mistralton City was always hit pretty hard by snow in the winter time and was a bit cool. He quickly dropped his bags on the bench that he had sat on and unzipped the same bag he had pulled the map out of and pulled out a large orange leather coat that had hard shoulder pads on it. He quickly slipped it on his arms and zipped it up. He put his bags back over his shoulders. He looked down at Treecko.

"So you want to ride or walk?" Dalex asked.

Treecko did not say anything and crossed his arms.

"Walking it is." Dalex said, as he looked down at his C Gear. "Oh yeah."

He looked for the dock worker who had scolded him not long ago. He found the man cleaning up some trash and walked over to him.

    "Excuse me... sir-"

"You again! I thought you were gone! What do you want now? Come to mess up my dock?" He scolded.

Dalex looked at the ground. He noticed that a good amount of trash was on the ground. He walked over and helped the man pick up the trash, Treecko also helped out, rolling the paper up into balls and hitting them with its tail into the bin. As they finished, the old man's expression had softened.

"Sorry about earlier sir. I was just excited. I wanted to ask you where the main building was so I could.... I guess sign in. In fact... where are the dorms and what time is it here at the moment?" Dalex asked.

The old man sighed, "Did you not look behind you whippersnapper? I mean, it is really hard to miss. Also, it is still a morning lad, did you hit your head as well?" The old man said sarcastically, paying Dalex back from when he jumped off the ship.

Dalex turned, and as he did, his mouth dropped to the ground, "Wow... How did I miss that?" He asked himself.

In front of him, there was big building rising into the sky. He turned back to the old man and smiled.

    "I guess I know now."

"Yep. You will find the main office in that general direction, shouldn't be that hard to find. Most kids are in class right now, so there shouldn't be many out in about." The old man reported.

    "Thank you sir."

"Don't mention it, just don't go getting into trouble." The dock worked said.

Dalex smiled, "I can't make any promises."

The old man smiled back and turned away. As he did, Dalex turned away and followed the path. Before he continued, he stopped at the water and looked into the water. He could easily see his reflection in the crystal clear, sea green water. He could see all the way to the bottom where he saw a few Krabby playing. He hadn't seen waters like these sense he was in the Orange Islands with his father. His reflection showed him in his orange coat that was probably a bit long. His green eyes caught the reflection, and in fact, made them greener than they were. His dark brown hair almost seemed black with the bright sun. After watching the Krabby for a few minutes, he turned and looked back toward the academy. Treecko was standing against a tree that was off the small path with his arms crossed, waiting patiently for his trainer.

"Ok. Let's go! Treecko said." Dalex said as he walked toward his Treecko.

    'Treecko Tre'

After a few minutes of walking, he arrived in the main campus area. He looked at all the dorms and hopped he had at least made it to Entei Dorm. As he walked, he stopped in front of the Lugia Dorm. Something freaked him out about that place, but he didn't know what. It looked like it had been run down for a very long time and he could swear that something was watching him from inside, not seen.

"As long as there is no Psychic types..." He murmured to himself.

He finally stepped away form the Lugia Dorm and picked up is pace. After a few moments, he came to another building. The main building. He walked into the building. Around were seats, one person was sitting there, looked like she had been crying. Next to her, seemed to be her parents. He felt like he could help, but he was afraid he might get in trouble, so he looked away and walked to the desk.

"Why hello." The female behind the desk greeted.

    "Hello." Dalex suddenly felt nervous.

"Can I help you?" The woman asked.

"Uh... yes. I just arrived here. I thought I should check in or something... I am not sure." Dalex quickly said, as Treecko jumped up on the counter.

The female smiled, "You must be one of the new students then. Do you have the letter you were given by Prof. Gary Oak?"

"Uh yeah, give me a second." He said as he quickly rummaged through his bag. He found the letter, and handed it to the woman.

His mouth went dry. And he didn't know if he could talk anymore.

"Ah, Dalex Yukashi, the one a gym leader told us about. You took on a high level gym with low level pokemon. Yes. You are in Entei Dorm." The lady said putting down the letter and quickly going through some files in a filing cabinet. She pulled a file out that Dalex noticed had his name on in. She handed it to him, which he accepts. He opened the file up and it went through.

"Here you go young man. You will find your Student ID that also works as your key to your room. So keep it safe. You do not have to take any classes today, so enjoy your first day. Please make sure you read all the rules and intro letter that is in the file as well. The Entei Dorm is the one with the red roof. You will also find a city on this island named after the Oak Family. It has many things. I would highly suggest you visit it today." The lady smiled.

"Thanks ma'am." He managed to say, as he started to walk away, the woman called him back.

"Oh Dalex! Please wait a minute, you need to sign this. It tells us you are here so we can give you classes and similar things. There is also a tournament coming up that you might be interested in. Might want to ask around."

Dalex turned back and walked toward the desk that Treecko was still standing on. Dalex shook his head and smiled and quickly signed the paper.

"There you go! All ready! Enjoy PTA! Make friends! And most of all, have fun!" The woman announced.

'Tre' Treecko put some ink on his paw and put a mark next to Dalex's name.

The woman laughed and Treecko jumped down. Dalex rolled his eyes. They walked out of the building and he walked toward the dorm with the red roof that was a few stories high. He walked in and he found his room on the second floor. Everything from sheets to curtains seemed red or at least a tint of red. There was a computer on the desk and a somewhat large TV on a night stand. He was glad that everyone had their own room so he didn't have to worry about anyone else. He threw his bags on the bed. Treecko hopped up on the bed and laid down. He put his paws behind his head. Dalex dropped his hand to his side and poked at to pokeballs and grabbed them. He threw them slightly in the air and his dark red, crimson Fletchling and Froakie appeared.

"Well guys, we are here! Finally! This is where we will be living for a while." Dalex said.

All three of his pokemon tackled him and he crashed to the ground as they all started laughing. After a few minutes, his stomach growled roared in protest.

"Ugh... I am hungry. Come on! Let's go to Oak Town to get something to eat!"

    'Tre-Treecko!'
    'Fletch-Fletchling!'
    'Fro-Froakie!'

    His pokemon cried in agreement.

    Holly Amarosa

Holly stormed away from Kayla and smiled when she finally lost her. She looked around and noticed that she was in the outskirts of Oak Town. "Great..." she muttered angrily. Molly left her Pokeball and looked down at Holly sadly. Holly ignored her and scratched at her arms, wishing that Amy hadn't gotten rid of her knife. Molly sensed someone familiar approaching and tensed up. Holly frowned up at her and gasped as the boy who had been harassing her for a few days appeared out of nowhere. She looked at the Abra at his side and whimpered.

"We meet again," he said, smiling. Holly noticed that he was staring at her scars and covered them up with her arms.

"W-What do you want?" she asked in a whispery voice. The boy smiled and walked towards her.

"You," he said simply. He looked around. "I see that you're alone, beautiful. Where's that boyfriend of yours? You know, I still haven't forgiven him for beating me up."

"You deserved it," Holly said angrily. She winced at the flash of anger on the boy's face and gasped as he marched over to her angrily and grabbed her by the arms.

"You listen here," he said through his teeth. "You never talk back to me again, you hear me? If you do, then..." He let go of one of her arms and released a Pokemon from a Pokeball. Holly gasped as she saw Blaze, who was covered in more cuts and bruises than before she released him back to the wild.

"Well, let's just say that you'll be burned. Terribly," the boy finished. Blaze whimpered and backed away slightly.

"I released him," Holly said, frowning. The boy laughed.

"I found him again," he said. "He was technically still my Pokemon. Now then..." He grabbed one of Holly's wrists tightly. "Where do you want to go first, sweetie?" he asked.

    Xander Blaze

The assistant at the front desk looked up to Xander, filing a a few piles of paper and typing the name onto her computer to confirm the new teacher's identity. "Ah, you're the new battle tactics teacher correct? Professor Oak is in his office at the top floor. Things have been busy around the island so it may be a short meeting. Just a small warning." She said, buzzing upstairs and allowing him access to the elevator. Several Houndoom were on guard throughout every other area within the building. They made great company for the various employees working around here and were a terrifying sight for potential intruders.

Xander gave a sincere smile to the woman, hiding any sense of anxiety at the hell hound Pokémon populating the space around him. "Thank you very much, miss," he said as he headed to the elevator. Of course...Fire-types. Wonderful. he thought to himself. Entering the elevator, he pressed the button inside to head directly to the highest floor. He took the time during his ascent to mentally prepare himself. This was the head of the Academy, he knew if he screwed this up somehow he'd have to head back to Toro earlier than planned. He was aroused from his deep thinking by the Ding! of the elevator reaching his destination. He cleared his throat and stepped out into the room in front of him.

The good Professor himself was up and about, just now heading toward his desk. "Ah Come in. This shouldn't take too long. I just need to confirm some things and ask you a few questions. I'm sure you've heard of what's been going on in the island so I feel its necessary to make sure your prepared for anything from our students." He said, rushing right to the point rather then get to introductions. He was without a doubt stressed by the ordeal himself. He just did a good job at keeping his cool and hiding it from everybody else.

"Ah right, Professor Gary Oak, though I'm sure you already know that. Your Xander right? We don't get a lot of new teacher applications as of late" He explained.

"Xander Blaze, the one and only," he introduced with a slight bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you, of course." He ran a hand through his hair with a small exhale of relief at how easy this would be. "To be perfectly honest, my application was spur-of-the-moment. It'll be a new experience shifting from business to education," he finished with a quiet chuckle.

Gary seemed to have his hands folded together, just starring down the new Teacher. "You've picked a good career path. People willing to educate upcoming students are always welcome on my island. But I just want to warn you before hand what you're really getting yourself into her. You've arrived at an odd time for all of us. I'm sure you've heard of Team Rocket's recent attack on the academy. The news quickly spread throughout the different regions. Something down there managed to transform many of our students into Pokemon. I know that sounds bizarre, but these students are still attending classes in their new forms." Gary explained, wanting to be as honest as possible to make sure this new teacher didn't get himself into something he'd be uncomfortable with.

"I just don't want you to go into this unprepared. Its getting to alot of the Gym Leader's heads as is. You'll likely understand when you witness it yourself." He added.

Xander seemed visibly shocked. "Students transformed into Pokémon? That's definitely new...I hadn't heard, the Toro Region is very...isolated." His mouth twitched at the corner, then changed to a grin. "Fortunately, I have quite a bit of confidence in myself; if I can stop a scientist from using dust from a meteorite as a bioweapon, I can surely handle a bit of Team Rocket's shenanigans," he laughed a bit to hide the exaggeration of his experiences in Toro. "Rest assured, I can handle whatever bizarre things are thrown my way," he affirmed with a firm nod of the head.

"Good. That was the part I was the most worried about. As long as you're open minded to the ordeal then you should be fine. With that said though, Welcome to the academy." Hary said, with a more confident tone in his voice. "I've already arranged your classroom as well as the dorm you'll be able to stay. Your classroom is rather close to our many battlefields. Should be useful for demonstrating your different battle tactics right? Anyways, got any other questions?" He asked

Xander thought for a moment or two, and checked his watch. "Hmm. First question, when exactly will I be starting with my first class session? Secondly, am I to set my own curriculum for the course?" He pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment. "Also, if I am indeed not starting class today, what would you have me do with my time?" His tone of voice had already begun to slip down into a very business-like cadence by the time he'd finished asking his questions; he definitely needed to get as much information as possible right here and right now, given the high stress level across the island. After all, he was sure Gary Oak was a very, very busy man, especially after the warning the assistant had given.

"You'll be starting scheduled classes tomorrow, and your free to run it on your own curriculum. Different trainers teach in unique ways after all. Though if you'd like something to do, there is a tournament later today. No doubt there are a couple of students in the academy training their hardest to aim for the top. Why not demonstrate your knowledge and help a few of them out? Throw a bit of advise. Especially toward the newer students. Of course, its just a suggestion." Gary said.

Xander's eyes sparkled a bit at the mention of a tournament. "That sounds like a wonderful idea. Some of the brighter youths will surely have something to gain from the advice I can give them." He bit the end of his thumb slightly, a nervous tick of sorts. "Well, I shan't use up any more of your time. I should get to finding my residence and getting myself situated." He took a small step backwards and then turned and headed back down to ground level in the elevator.

    Amber Frost

Valor craned his neck forward to look down at the new Pokemon, tilting his head slightly and clicking to take a look at it. He smiled at Pancham's comment. To most onlookers the smile would seem perfectly friendly, but the look of cruel satisfaction was unmistakable to Amber. After a moment, Valor gracefully launched from Amber's shoulder and alighted on the ground in front of Pancham.

"Well, if you're going to make jokes in such bad taste, perhaps you should just... leaf," he responded, now smirking.

Amber, meanwhile, had her hands full with her conversation. Honestly, she couldn't believe how carelessly some people choose their words. "R-right, thanks. Anyway, I was gonna head to Oak Town and pick up some TMs before the tournament. You...wanna come with?" she offered a bit hesitantly. Great, now she was back to acting strangely, just as she'd gotten back to feeling normal.

Dalex Yukashi - Road to Oak Town

Dalex walked down the road to Oak Town, he knew it was still early and any students that may be sick would still be asleep. He had put his pokemon back in their pokeballs until we got out of the academy area. He did not wish to battle another student at the moment. He just wanted to get something to eat. He had not had any real food for a few days and was just about sick of food you would buy on a boat. He shoved his hands in his pockets and walked down stairs and out of the front door. He knew that there was a cafeteria, but he was not sure if there was any food left and didn't know how much it would cost. Besides, he wanted to go to Oak Town anyway. Eventually he would have to ask someone about the tournament, although he didn't really care about it. At least not today. He knew he would get blown away right now. He knew that most of the trainers here were trainers who had been here for a while and knew he was not match. He quickly walked by the Lugia Dorm, almost running to get by it. After a few minutes, he was finally out of the academy area and started heading north. He knew that the town was around a thirty minute walk from where he currently was.

"I wonder if I will run into any pokemon. I have a few poke balls that I brought from home." Dalex said to himself.

He caught site of a female and male that looked like they were talking. They had a few pokemon out, but he intentionally walked away, hoping to by pass them because he did not want to disturb them. He could see Oak Town not far away and figured he could miss them if he went to the woods that were just off to the east. After a few minutes, he found himself in the thin part of the forest. He sense something odd about the forest. He felt him self being drawn near the outer part of the forest, whether it be by fear or curiosity. He started to lose the sun as the forest got darker and darker. Up ahead, trees started losing their leaves. He started shaking from fear, but he did not speak. Suddenly, his pokeball rumbled and the red light shot out and Treecko appeared.

    'Treecko Tre!!' He cried.

"Tr...Treecko..." Dalex muttered, at that moment, a shadowy figure appeared. Without thinking, his feet started moving.

'Treecko!!' Treecko cried as he used pound on Dalex and sent him flying in the direction they had come.

Dalex crashed to the ground and rolled so the impact did not all go to one spot. After he stopped rolling, he laid for a moment while the world stopped spinning. Treecko walked up to Dalex and tried to help him up. Slowly, Dalex put his put his hands flat on the ground and bent his arms. He used his legs and slowly stood up. He wiped grass and dirt off his clothes. He turned his head back toward where he had saw the shadow, it was gone. He quickly walked away and then when they were a safe distance, he looked down at Treecko who follower him close.

"Thank you Treecko. I don't know what that was, but I am glad you knocked me back." Dalex announced.

'Tre. Treecko.' Treecko replied and climbed up Dalex's body and stood on his shoulder.

They slowly walked back toward the road they had left. Finally he came to where the trees started the thin out and bird pokemon chirped. He saw a few Combee and Ledyba flew about happily. Suddenly, he heard a cry form the trees and looked up. There on the branch, was a pokemon he had never seen before. He quickly pointed his C Gear at it.

"Hawlucha, the fighting and flying type pokemon. With its wings, it controls its position in the air. It likes to attack from above, a maneuver that is difficult to defend against. Although its body is small, its proficient fighting skills enable it to keep up with big bruisers like Machamp and Hariyama." The voice on his C Gear said.

He was glad that his Dad has upgraded his C Gear to act like a Pokedex. The Hawlucha looked down at him like it wanted to fight.

    'Haw!!!!!' The pokemon cried.

'Tre! Treecko!' Treecko cried as he jumped off Dalex's shoulders.

    "Let's do this!' Dalex cheered.

"Sure," Sammy nodded, "I was there just earlier and bought my first TM's. Something for me to show off in the tournament with, I've already battled a few people here at the Academy so it'll be good for me to have a surprise or two up my sleeve, y'know? Don't wanna be predictable. Come on Pancham, time for a walk."

"So what other Pokémon do you have?" She asked as they set off from the Pokémon Centre. "I've seen Zubat and Ponyta but I saw you give the nurse there four pokeballs. I've got five and the egg here. Uh, six! I forgot I just caught one." And she still had no idea what the hell she was gonna do with Onix.

Pancham snorted and rolled his eyes at Valor, popping his knuckles idly. "It was a joke, alright? No need to get into a flap about it. You just remember that me and Coop are the bosses 'round here and you'll be fine."

    Amber Frost

Amber nodded and set out for Oak Town. She realized she hadn't had a battle since coming to the Academy in the morning. "I still haven't battled anyone here, but I seriously need something new for this tournament," she said as they walked. She looked over at Sammy when she asked about her Pokemon.

"Yeah, I've got two others. I probably shouldn't give away info to a potential opponent, but I guess I'll make an exception," she remarked. She grabbed Twitch's Pokeball off of her belt. "Well, I've got a Treecko, and... it's kinda embarrassing, but I have no idea what this is," she said sheepishly, then released Twitch into her hands.

Valor hopped along next to them, fluttering his wings occasionally to move faster. "Well, you certainly don't pull your punches when it comes to making bad puns," he joked, still smirking. He chose to ignore the comment about who was the boss here, grinning internally at his ignorance. Everything seemed fine, until he heard the sound of another Pokeball opening.

Twitch looked all around before spotting Sammy. She broke into a grin and attempted to jump onto her face, but Amber was too quick. She quickly grabbed Twitch with two fingers and held her up in the air. Twitch tried to run on the air, giggling, "Whee! I believe I can flyyyyyyyy!~" Amber just stared for a moment, before looking over at Sammy with a see-what-I-mean look.

Sammy laughed at Twitch's antics, a deep throaty sound that seemed too large for the girl it came from. "It's a Joltik!" She exclaimed. "I've travelled more or less everywhere, so I know different Pokémon from all around. Joltik are from Unova originally, but they're spreading really fast. They get everywhere because they're so tiny and they love to suck the electricity out of things like a Heracross sucks sap from trees. So they smuggle onto ships - planes too - for all the electricity on there then end up in a completely new place. They're pretty cute, and most of them are full of energy like that, but..." Sammy grinned wolfishly, "Well, just enjoy it. You've got a few surprises in store."

Pancham smirked. Clearly this Zubat understood the amount of respect that Coop, and therefore he, was due. He gave Twitch a derisive glance once the little sparkplug was released, clearly that Pokémon didn't understand that Coop needed to be treated with some serious deference. "Better not try and jump at Coop again. I'd have to take you down, pow! No sweat." He strutted along, chewing on his leaf and looking totally lame badass. Now everyone understood just how tough and totally cool he was!

Amber rolled her eyes and put Twitch back into her hands. "That would explain why I found her in my bag, trying to eat my cell phone," she said with a laugh. Her new Pokemon would be interesting to train, to say the least. Twitch paused, scrambling over Amber's hands to look at the two Pokemon.

Valor paused at the Pancham's comment, just barely catching what looked like a sneer Twitch's direction. Sure, he held little love towards the annoying furball, but anyone that could defeat him in battle -especially with such advanced tactics- deserved his respect. Valor sneered at the Pokemon's arrogance; only he could be arrogant and get away with it, not some little punk! Valor took to the air before landing directly in the path of Pancham, getting uncomfortably close to his face.

"Excuse me, that's my team mate you're talking about, you pompous little brat," he hissed.

"I'll talk about who I want," Pancham sneered, lacing his fingers together behind his head arrogantly, "And if you got a problem with it you can make like a tree and get outta here. Me and Coop and Elvis run this joint and you better learn some respect if you know what's good for you, and your Trainer."

Sammy stopped and frowned at Valor and Panchams behaviour, she hadn't had Pancham long enough to really get a handle on his personality yet, but he already seemed very different from her first impressions of him. He'd initially seemed very happy go lucky, but he'd taken a real shine to Elvis and started trying to emulate the crusty crustacean. The only problem with that was that Elvis had a serious attitude problem and was a bit of a bully, enjoying throwing his weight around now that he was a Crawdaunt. Pancham didn't exactly have as much weight to throw around...

But to human eyes it would seem that Pancham and Valor had been walking along and talking when Valor suddenly turned aggressive. Compounded with what she'd seen of the Zubat at the Pokémon Centre it didn't paint a picture in his favour.

"What's up with you two?" She asked. "I don't want to see any trouble so close to the tournament, you hear me?"

Amber bit her lip thoughtfully as she observed the two Pokemon. While it was true Valor had been acting strangely, she was getting bad vibes off of Sammy's Pokemon. Everything about his posture read arrogance and a bad attitude. If she had to guess, Pancham had said something that Valor didn't like at all.

Valor leaned forward, grinning hungrily. "I hope you didn't just threaten me and my trainer. I'd watch that cavalier attitude, if I were you," he said, his voice dangerously low and dripping with malice. Being obnoxiously pretentious was one thing, but threatening Amber was a very different thing entirely.

Twitch fidgeted nervously up on the back of Amber's hand, watching the growing fight. Eventually, she skittered down Amber to the ground and went over to Valor. She tried to pull and push him away from Pancham in every possible way, but her small size led to her mostly being ignored by the bat Pokemon. "C'mon, let's just go! We're gonna go train remember, and get new moves! You love training right? Tactics! Training! Fun things!" she pleaded, trying to avoid a fight.

Pancham glared at Valor and brought his hands back down to his sides. "Or what, you gonna get into a flap about it, maybe fly into a tree you blind batbrain?" He took a step forward, sneering down at Twitch. "You need this little pipsqueak to step in for you? I oughta squish her right now."

"Pancham!" Sammy snapped, stepping towards her unruly Pokémon. It was clear from his posturing that he wasn't innocent in all of this. "Stop it right now."
"These losers started it!" He protested, Sammy of course only hearing a string of Panchams.
"I'm sorry Amber," Sammy sighed, frustrated over the whole thing. "Ever since I got Pancham we've had run ins with Team Rocket and big groups of wild Pokémon, but no actual battles, so he has a bit of a twisted idea about what's okay behaviour I guess."

Pancham was about to protest again but a sharp look from Sammy cut him off. He lowered his head and shot a deathly glare towards Valor. He might have a serious attitude problem but it seemed like Sammy had no trouble keeping him in line so long as she was paying attention.

"I guess I need to spend some time teaching him that it's not everyone versus us, even if that's all he's seen," she sighed.

Valor snarled right back. "You should hope you never find out just what I'm capable of," he hissed. His anger only intensified at the blindness comment. "I can see a small leaf from several hundred feet in the air. I can hear every single breath you take and every beat of your heart. Perhaps you should reconsider who has the superior senses, you useless, cocky pipsqueak," he breathed out angrily, getting uncomfortably close to the other Pokemon. Twitch, for her part, tried to stick up for herself and Valor. "Just go away, you... you... meanie... leaf-face!" she retorted, clearly needing some help in the insult department. Valor looked up in satisfaction as Pancham's trainer stepped in. He couldn't resist throwing out a bit more now that Pancham was firmly controlled by Sammy.

"Now, now. Listen to your trainer like the good little pet you are. Wouldn't want to be put in timeout now would we?" he called out mockingly before taking flight and landing back on Amber's shoulder. Amber pretended to look stern at Valor as she recalled Twitch, but couldn't resist sending Valor a proud, twisted grin as soon as Sammy wasn't looking. Valor returned it and settled down on his perch.

Amber shrugged. "It's cool. Valor's not used to so many people around, I think its got him a bit edgy," she explained. She really hoped that was all that was wrong with him today.

    Dalex Yukashi- Outer Forest

Dalex waited for the Hawlucha to make the first move. Suddenly, Hawlucha dive bombed toward Treecko, hand glowing like it was getting ready to chop.

"Treecko, quick! Use bullet seed!!" Dalex commanded.

Treecko listened and started shooting seeds at an extremely fast pace. All you could see was the line that the bullets made. However, the seeds seemed to have hardly any effect.

"Dang... I forgot that flying types are strong against grass types." Dalex spat, upset that he had made such a rookie mistake.

The chop made contact with Treecko and it crashed to the ground. Treecko recovered somewhat quickly, but had taken the chop head on. Dalex quickly thought to recall Treecko, but didn't. Not yet.

"Treecko! Climb up in the tree!" Dalex cried.

Treecko quickly obeyed and scurried up the tree and waited for Dalex to call out the next move.

'Hawu!!!!' Hawlucha cried in what sounded like in an annoyed tone.

Dalex waited to see what Hawlucha was going to do. He was pretty sure that Hawlucha could not stay in the air like most flying type pokemon due to the wings it had. Hawlucha's wings started to glow as it bent its knees and shot up toward Treecko.

    "Use pound!" Dalex cried.

Treecko jumped into the air and spun with its tail. The too attacks exploded with power and spoke filled the air. He saw Hawlucha shot out of the smoke and slammed into the ground and skidded a few yards. Treecko jumped out of the smoke and landed in front of Dalex, only to go to one knee. Dalex knew Treecko was tired. As he turned his head back to Hawlucha, it was already standing up. It didn't even seem like it had taken much damage. He knew then that Hawlucha was a strong pokemon and made him want it even more.

"Treecko, return! You are too tired. I don't want you to faint." Dalex cried, taking his pokeball out and pointing it at Treecko. Treecko didn't try to dodge the beam and it absorbed him. Dalex replaced the ball on his waist.

Hmm... Fletchling would be the obvious choice. It would have the advantage over Hawlucha, but Froakie has not yet had a battle. Dalex thought.

He pulled out a pokeball and threw it is the air. Froakie appeared from the red beam. It was ready to battle.

"Froakie! Use quick attack!" Dalex commanded before Hawlucha could make a move.

Froakie speed quickly at Hawlucha. Hawlucha tried to dodge by jumping, but Froakie caught the movement and crashed into Hawlucha. Both pokemon crashed to the ground.

    "Now use bubble!" Dalex cried.

Froakie quickly answered and fired bubbles at Hawlucha that exploded on contact. Hawlucha was shot back, but it did not fall. Its feet dug up dirt and stopped before it slammed into a tree. Froakie jumped away and waited for the next command.

"Froakie! Bu-" Dalex couldn't call the move before Hawlucha vanished.

    'Fro?' Froakie seemed surprised.

At that moment, Hawlucha appeared right in front of Froakie and slammed into it, sending it flying.

"Crap!" Dalex cried as he ran toward where Froakie was flying. Dalex caught him and they slammed into a tree.

    'Froakie?'

"Don't worry about me. I am fine as long as you are." Dalex said, pulling out Froakie's pokeball.

"Return Froakie. You did well." Dalex said as the red beam absorbed Froakie.

Dalex pulled out his last pokeball and threw it. His red Fletchling appeared.

    'Fletch!' It chirped.

"Use quick attack!" Dalex commanded quickly.

Fletchling charged and Hawlucha had no time to react as Fletchling made contact.

"Follow it up with peak!" Dalex commanded, not letting Hawlucha react.

Again Fletchling made contact, sending Hawlucha flying into a tree. Hawlucha switched he body around and instead of crashing, used it to give it speed.

"Use quick attack to get away from it!" Dalex cried.

Fletchling did so, but was still hit by Hawlucha's tackle. Fletchling was sent flying, but recovered with its wings.

    'Fletch!'

Dalex looked at Hawlucha, who was physically worn.

"Use peak and finish it off!" Dalex cried.

Fletchling did so and made contact with Hawlucha who was to tired to move and was sent flying. Hawlucha crashed to the ground and laid. Dalex threw the side his jacket up, that had some how come unzipped while battling and pulled out an empty pokeball. He threw the pokeball and it spun like a Pachirisu on ice. It hit Hawlucha and the red light absorbed it. The ball fell to the ground and started to shake and shake.... and shake. After what seemed like hours, the pokeball stopped.

    BING

Dalex blinked a few times and a huge smile crossed his face. He ran over to the pokeball and picked it up.

"Woohoo!! My first official catch!" Dalex cheered as he held the pokeball above his head.

He continued to cheer for a few more minutes, and after he was done, the forest seemed quiet. Very very quiet and then suddenly, the forest life was renewed as bug and bird pokemon started to fly around as if nothing had happened. Fletchling landed on Dalex's shoulder, its red head breathing hard.

"Great job Fletchling! We caught our first pokemon."

    'Fletch fletch!' Fletchling chirped.

Dalex's stomach roared and scared pokemon away. He put his hand on his stomach. He had forgotten he was hungry in all the excitement.

"Hey Fletchling, do you have enough energy to fly up and see if you could find Oak Town? I don't know what the right direction is, and I really do not want to go toward the center of the woods again." Dalex asked.

'Fletch.' Fletchling chirped as it flew up. After a few minutes, the tiny bird pokemon flew back down and told him what way to go by pointing its wing.

"Thanks Fletchling! Now return and take a nice rest!" Dalex said as he pointed the pokeball at Fletchling and absorbed it.

Dalex ran in the direction Fletchling had showed him and with in seconds, he was out of the forest, back into the sun which blinded him. Not very far away, he could see Oak Town and headed toward the town.

Sammy sighed and pulled Panchams pokeball from her belt again, holding it out to the little troublemaker. "Back in you go, we'll talk about this later."

Pancham shot one last murderous glare at Valor, spitting his chewed up leaf onto the ground. "You're dead," he snarled as one last shot to the Zubat before being sucked back into his pokeball. Sammy hadn't missed the look and although she couldn't understand Panchams threat it had been fairly clear it was a threat. Part of her almost wished Amber had been a jerk so she could back Pancham up but his behaviour had been completely unjustifiable. Her own aggressive nature was rubbing off on her Pokémon too much, she was going to end up with a band of delinquents if this kept up.

"Sorry Valor," she spoke directly to the Zubat, rather than to Amber, "You didn't deserve that. I'll get you some poffins or somethin' in Oak Town to make it up to you." Her apology was genuine, even if she did seem to struggle with it and appear a bit glum afterwards as they continued their walk towards Oak Town. She'd never had to apologise for one of her Pokemons behaviour before and she hated apologising in the first place. Even if it felt like all she'd been doing lately.

Valor barely held in his laughter as Pancham was forced back into his Pokeball. He started finding this whole situation quite humorous, especially the fact that a Pancham was threatening him despite the rather obvious type disadvantage. Even better, it looked as if he was gonna get off without any punishment. In fact, he'd managed to scrape out an apology gift! Valor tried his best to look humble, smiling gratefully at Sammy.

Amber, however, was not so satisfied. While he did manage to turn the fight around, it was one of his worst performances. When he was on the top of his game, all you'd here is a quiet "Zu-zubat" and suddenly the other Pokemon would be at his throat. This of course, would usually end in the trainer apologizing, sometimes with a gift or a favor to make up for it. While he'd certainly managed to to get to the end result, she knew he was much more capable. Maybe losing his reward would send the point home? Amber smiled before looking at Valor, this time a bit more sincerely stern. "I'm not so sure this one is entirely innocent either," she said, mostly to Valor.

Valor looked up in surprise, wondering what she was doing. Amber picked him up, holding him at eye level, and continued her stern look as she murmured quietly, mostly outside of Sammy's earshot. "Seriously Val, you can do better than that. You'll never win a fight if it looks like you started it," she scolded him. Valor hung his head in shame of his lack luster performance. "I know you're a bit off your game today. Just try to do better next time, alright?" she said in understanding, and Valor nodded. Amber smiled and gently pet his head before putting him back on her shoulder. "Good."

Amber continued walking, wondering what was up with her Pokemon lately. All Valor was wondering about was if he was still going to get those poffins.

Sammy shook her herself from her reverie, she was still trying to get lost in her own head less. It was a problem she'd never had until she came to the island, overthinking things without taking any action to change them. That had never been who she was, she had always been a girl of action. And apologising for her Pokémon? Screw it if they were in the wrong, they were her Pokémon! She should have their back even if they were kicking little kids in the face. She needed to get her head screwed on straight or people would start walking all over her.

"Well, if you they're both to blame you could get Pancham some poffins too? I think it would really help him realise that not everyone needs to be treated like an enemy. We can call it even after that, but I wouldn't forget it if you helped me out with this."

It was probably a bit rude of her to ask Amber that, but it would be beneficial for Pancham to have a positive experience with someone other than Sammy and her Pokémon, and that had to be her priority. Hopefully the other girl wouldn't hold it against her, but she'd deal with it if she did. Amber seemed like a nice girl, if a bit nervous and awkward, so the worst reaction Sammy expected was an uncertain refusal.

Amber snapped out of her own thoughts when Sammy started speaking. She wasn't a fan of buying anyone else things; it was hard enough for her to want to buy her own things rather than steal them. But at this point, she figured the best thing she could do was try to smooth everything over and hope that she didn't ruin everything.

"Yeah, sure. That sounds fair," she answered in agreement. If Sammy was going to buy some for Valor, than they would by pretty even. Looking around, she noticed that they were almost to Oak town. She had no idea where exactly she was going, but at least she knew what she needed. Poffins, TMs, and the last piece for her project. She wasn't sure that she'd be able to find it, but it was worth a shot.
