They don't always move. :/ One day my Mom ran over one and she couldn't stop crying.

No, they don't...

My mum nearly ran over a cat once... But I don't remember her actually running over something.

I've swerved towards groundhogs and squirrels before. I'd never swerve towards cats or dogs, but groundhogs and squirrels are over-populated anyway. XD

Actually, I haven't been around cats enough to know if I've grown out of it.
I should really check on that, I'd love a cat!

I sort of want to have a pet dog, but dogs are not allowed in our apartment...

Yeah, I know. I used to have two dogs when I lived in the Philippines.

One of them kept on chewing on everyone's flip-flops...

I'd swerve towards bird if they were on the road.. If I could drive, that is.
...XD

I`had a driving lesson once when I was creeping out of the drive, doing about 7m/ph when there was a bird just standing still in the road, directly in line with the wheels. My evil instructor told me that I had to just keep moving and hope it moves out of the way in time. I said I'd make it move by pressing the horn to scare it off, but he told me it was against the law to use a horn in a housing area improperly.

So I just slowed down and kept going forward but the bird still wouldn't move. When it finally got so the bird was no longer visible from where I was I had to cave in and smashed down on the horn. The bird flew away and the instructor told me off, but I don't care as I still have a conscience. XD

My driving instructor told me never to stop or swerve for an animal... he said just to keep driving and if I hit it, too bad. ><; Luckily I've never been in a situation like that... I'd probably do what you did anyway. I'd never want to hit an animal...

My friend did tell me a story about a bird once though. Her family was driving their minivan down to Florida and there was a bird flying right in front of their car. They couldn't do much about it, so they kept driving straight. Eventually the bird disappeared from sight... and they heard a loud bang. They didn't think much of it, so they just kept driving. When they finally stopped to get gas or rest or whatever... they saw a disgusting mass of feathers stuck to the grille of their car. Eww. XD;

Ew, man I hope it wasn't a big bird. XD

Ooh, I have a spider story. Everyone loves those. XD

I went on a camping trip with my friend, his brother, their dad and their uncle one time, must've been 2-3 years ago now. And we rented a canoe to use on this shallow lake. It was all going well and fine for a while then my friend's dad told us that he was told that there was a large, popular lake just at the end of a stream that went through quite a thick wooded area. Seeing as he was in charge of what we did, we decided go go through the stream.

We got about 40 feet in when stream turned into a swamp. The water was so thick and murky that we could barely move forward. My friend, his uncle and I all wanted to turn back and get back onto clear water again, but his dad was determined to carry on..so we did. We went about 20 feet further when the trees started closing in on us and formed a kind of arch over the water. As we were going underneath those trees my friend's uncle lifts his oar from the left side of the canoe so he could lift it passed us and put it down on the right hand side.

But as he lifted it over us he smacked a branch on the tree..And about 11 spiders of varying sizes landed inside the canoe. Now my friend's dad is petrified of spiders, so he was going hyper inside the canoe, rocking it from side to side..nearly capsizing us all. My friend and I got rid of the spiders and, surprise, surprise, his dad wanted to carry on. So we did, and we eventually ran into this HUGE spiderweb with a spider the size of my hand right in the middle. Dunno how the hell this guy didn't see it, but I suppose it was fairly dark, and he went straight into the web, the spider landing right on his face.

You'll never hear a 40 year old man scream so loudly in your life XD Unfortunately though, he got so scared that time that we did capsize and end up in the swampy water. Lovely..XD

EDIT: That story seemed shorter when I first decided to type it.

I could not stop laughing at that for a few minutes, I only wish I had a story half as awesome as that. The closest thing to that I have is my brother getting kinda freaked out when we were riding elephants when I was younger.

You rode elephants? Cool. I'd like to try someday~

I've seen people riding camels though... that was at the Nebraska State Fair, if I remember correctly. o_O;

It's pretty fun, if you're not afraid of heights or anything. I wasn't, at the time, so I had the time of my life. We were on them for a good 40 minutes or so. You really can't grasp how big those things are until you're actually on one. The ones I rode were like, twice as big as any other elephant I had ever seen though. My brother was kind of freaked out, so he only rode the thing for a few minutes before he got off them. I stayed on it with some other people for the rest of the time. The only thing I didn't like was that it smelt, a lot. They had just washed the thing, but the stench was still so strong. No one really had any problem with it though, I mean, we were riding on some damn big animals and having fun, so the smell was the least of our cares.

I've ridden camels before too. It was at some Christmas fair a long time ago, it was that or a horse. I've already ridden horses a bunch of times, so I went for the camel, which was weird and...not that fun. It's slow, smells like something I'd rather not remember and spits, a lot, almost got my in the face when I got off the thing too.
