Yeah, well...if you don't stay on top of spyware and viruses lately, it can kill a computer pretty fast. I wasn't taking great care of my laptop at first, but I cleaned it out and have been doing a better job of it lately. XD

Yeah I guess, Actually, I might delete loads of my unwanted files and defragment (Or whatever it is XD) My laptop. That should hopefully do the trick XD

I was trying to get an intelligent conversation about computers going in here. Then someone showed up and sent things awry. Figures, no? The one time they've showed up in the past...almost week...and the conversation goes down like the Titanic. Bah...and they try to claim that they are the reason there's been no activity in here.

Blah, actually bringing the subjects of computers up again I'll hopefully be getting my laptop soon. My dad's offered to give me £200 to buy a decent one, which I find weird seeing as for Christmas, when I asked for money to put towards it, he gave me £20. So I'm not sure why he changed his mind so quickly and basically gave me a quarter of the price. O_o

Still not sure what make of laptop I want, Dell seem pretty crap...any ideas?

I have a Dell Laptop, they're pretty crap yeah. And apparently they explode if the Battery overheats *Still suprised that mine hasn't blown up yet.*

A good laptop would cost like around £400-£700. Dunno what laptop to recommend though =P
 
The problem with laptops is the technology becomes outdated quicker than anything. I bought a laptop for £700, it was a decent laptop too, nothing crappy, then four months later the exact same laptop was being sold in stores for £400. So I lost £300 in four tiny months.

I've decided now that I'm never buying a new laptop again. At least with PCs you can upgrade the hardware.
