Don't care much about the rep, although I haven't been here long enough to have actually experience it being here on PC. NF still has their rep function, and I kind of found it a mess there. People complain giving someone negative rep, usually because people don't leave their names when the other recieves it. When requesting an avatar/banner from a graphics shop, people have to give credit and rep to that person once their done making their theme. I don't know, wasn't rep something only given when identifying someone as a good or bad member?
 
Rep was fun when it was a retarded sort of tag. Like:
"LOL! I GIB U R3PP0RZ!!! X333333333333333333323DLFJ!~"
"K."

And then you'd go back and forth like that with three or four people. It was so amazing...

Plus people were going back and forwards on accounts positive repping themselves, as much of a competition it was, people just played it wrong. x__x;

Which is why I said we should bring back the rep system but disable the points so everyone is grey. That way people will waste their own effort if they try to abuse it because they wont gain any bars. And the members who used it correctly can still get the rep comments and feedback for their posts.
 
But if you just turned it back on with no bars for giving feedback, wouldn't that be pointless? Couldn't you just post or PM the person?

Yeah, but if everyone starts with grey reputations, how would they be able to post? o_o
 
Rep was like, in 04' I think. o_O And it would be stupid unless I could abuse it.

I agree I would care even less about rep if it wasn't honored in public, and just another form of PM. :\
 
Yeah, '04 and at least part of '05. What would you go for, Paige? I think I like mine...cept the way her fingers cut off. Drives me nuts. Wish I had noticed that before I finished it. ;;
 
I've never been part of a forum with a repping system before. Sounds like a good idea if they brought it back to this forum. Maybe even add a 'de-repping' system. Though that could prove troublesome.

There's one thing I'm curious about. I've seen many people do this around here: 'XD'. What's that supposed to mean...?
 
Don't think we'll ever bring back rep. We actually talked about it once and we all said it'd be a headache to bring back the cause of most of our problems.
 
No one's going to just PM someone saying "Great Post!", too much effort.

Yeah yeah, okay. xD; The point is, I don't see a lot of people who wouldn't post/PM using it for just that. Or something. I dunno.

Your sig? I luff it. I do that tan-ish tinting in most of my layouts now, I'm addicted to it. ;p I don't see cut off fingers.

Yeah, that was one of the good things about it, mods could see who gave rep though.
 
It's funny how you stop getting bad rep once you become and mod and people know that you could see who repped you.
